1.Ethical Reflection on Physician-Patient Communication
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
Establishment of a harmonious physician-patient relationship plays an important role in constructing a harmonious society.Poor communication is the main reason for the present tense contradiction between doctors and patients, therefore medical workers should improve their professional morality,self-cultivation,and communicating skills with patients.Besides, they should cultivate respect, understanding, and humanistic care for patients, mitigating the contradiction of disequilibrium and dissymmetry between doctors and patients. In this way, mutual respect and understanding can be built up and a harmonious physician-patient relationship established.
2.Advance in The Studies on Histone Methylation
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(06):-
Histone methylation is one of the epigenetic modifications. Histone methylation influences constitutive heterochromatin, genomic imprinting, inactivation of X-chromosome and gene transcription regulation. Abnormality of histone methylation is associated with several carcinomas. The discovery of enzymes that reverse histone methylation challenges the current understanding that histone methylation is a stable epigenetic marker and provides a novel way to study histone modifications.
3.Role of Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinaseⅡin chronic inflamnmtory pain in mice
Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2008;28(5):406-408
Objective To investigate the role of ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II(CaMKII)in chronic inflammatory pain in mice. Methods Forty healthy male ICR mice weighing 20-25 g were randomly divided into 5 groups(n=8 each):group A control;group B chronic inflammation;group C KN92:group D KN93 30 nmol and group E KN93 45 nmo1.Chronic inflammatory pain was produced by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA) 20 ul into the dorsal surface of left hind paw in group B,C,D and E.In group A normal saline 20 ul was injected instead of CFA.On the 1st and 3rd day after CFA injection group D,E and Creceived intrathecal administration of specific CaMK Ⅱ inhibitor KN93 30 and 45 nmol and KN92 45 nmol(aninactive analog of KN93).in 5 ul respectively.Mechanical and thermal pain threshold to von Frey hair and radiantheat stimulation were determined at 30 min before CFA injection (To,baseline),30 min before(T1) and 30 min after IT.administration (T2) on the 1st day after CFA injection and at 30 min after IT administration(T3) on the 3rd day after CFA injection. The mice were immediately killed by C02 anesthesia after the last determination of pain threshold. The lumbar segment of the spinal cord Was then removed for determination of the expression of p-CaMK Ⅱ a by Western blotting. Results The thermal and mechanical pain threshold Was significantly decreasedat T1-3 in group B,C and D but only at T1 in group E as compared with the baseline values and group A.Thermal and mechanical pain threshold were significantly hisher at T2.3 in group E than in group B.p-CaMKⅡa expression in the spinal cord was significantly higher in group B,C and D than in group A but there was no significant difference in p-CaMKⅡa between group A and E.The p-CaMKII a expression in the spinal cord was significantyly lower in group E than in group B.Conclusion CaMK Ⅱ is involved in the development of chronic inflammatory pain.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(6):240-242
Objective To explore the effect of intracoronary injection of epinephrine and Vera Pammy in patients with myocardial infarction with slow blood flowduring percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).MethodsFrom January 2013 to October 2016, 68 patients with acute myocardial infarction with solw blood flow in Shanghai Jiading Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine during PCI were randomly divided into the epinephrine group(37 cases) and the verapamil group(31 cases). The two groups were treated with conventional drugs before surgery. The epinephrine group were injected into the coronary artery of 50 micrograms of epinephrine, the Vera Pammy group were injected into 200 micrograms of Vera Pammy. The coronary angiography, blood flow dynamics, as well as biochemical indexes in the two groups were observed.ResultsAfter the initial medicine, the ratio of TIMI flow grade 3 in the epinephrine group 81.80% was significantly higher than that in the Vera Pammy group 64.52%(P<0.05).The ratio of TIMI flow grade 3 after three times treatment, CTFC value after initial and 3 times treatment between the two groups have no significance. The blood pressure in the epinephrine group was (82.67±10.87) mmHg, which was significantly higher than that in the Vera Pammy group (70.46±9.54) mmHg(P<0.05).NT-proBNP, cTnT, LVEF in the two groups have no significance.hs-CRP in the epinephrine group was (7.68± 0.76) mg/L, which was significantly lower than that in the Vera Pammy group (9.25±1.05) mg/L.ConclusionThe effect is different which epinephrine and Vera Pammy were used in the patients with myocardial infarction with slow blood flowduring percutaneous coronary intervention. The use of epinephrine can significantly increase blood pressure, and the effect of initial medication is better.
5.Core knowledge and skill-based approach to subspecialty construction in critical/intensive care medicine with distinct Chinese peculiarity
Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2017;29(6):556-559
With the rapid development of critical care medicine (CCM) in China, there are increases in the number of intensive care units (ICUs), the scale of one center ICU and the team. Subspecialty construction of CCM is of great concerns for personnel training as well as discipline development, and is currently one of the urgent problems that need to be resolved. Experience of CCM subspecialty construction from Europe and the United States is lacking and it is necessary to propose some opinions on innovation to construct CCM subspecialties with Chinese characteristics. We believe that CCM sub-specialties construction should be based on the core knowledge (pathophysiology) and skill (organ monitoring and support). The following 7 sub-specialties can be set up: ① acute lung injury and mechanical ventilation; ② shock, hemodynamic monitoring and treatment; ③ acute kidney injury and blood purification; ④ sepsis and anti-infective therapy; ⑤ stress, sedation and analgesia; ⑥ nutrition and metabolic support; ⑦ coagulation, immune and inflammation. The core knowledge and skills of critical care medicine will constantly be updated and enriched. Therefore, sub-specialty settings should be constantly updated as well.

9.Modified procedure for primary culture of retinal Müller cell in newborn rat
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(4):336-339
BackgroundMüller cells has been recognized as being vital in both healthy and diseased retina.Recently, these cells even have been identified to be the source of retinal progenitor cells. In order to study the possible function of the retinal Müller cells,it is important to establish a practical procedure to obtain the purified cells. ObjectiveThis study was to simplify the procedure of primary culture and purification of retinal Müller cells in vitro. MethodsEyeballs of SPF newborn SD rats were enucleated and retinas were dissected free after soaking the eyeballs overnight in DMEM/F12 medium in room temperature. Then the retinas were mechanically dissociated into micro aggregates and cultured in DMEM/F12 medium containing 10% FBS for 8-10 days. The floating retinal aggregates and debris were removed and the medium was changed in 2-3 days interval to get more purified flat cell population.Cultured cells were passaged after confluent.Immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the response to glutamine synthetase (GS) and Vimentin for the identification of the cultured Müller cells, and flow cytometry (FCM) was used to estimate the purity of the cells. Results Cultured Müller cells had large cellular body and richer cytoplasm.More than 95% of the cells showed the positive response for GS with the brown staining in cytoplasm and cellular nuclei, and the positive stainiug also was seen for Vimentin in cytoplasm.FCM showed that 99.7% of the cells were GS positive after 3 passages. Conclusions Modified procedure in this experiment is a simple and practical method for culturing retinal Müller cells.
10.Progress in retinal stem cells research
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(9):852-856
Retina is subjected to many acquired and inherited neuronal degenerative diseases such as agerelated macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy (DR) and retinitis pigmentosa (RP). All of these diseases are associated with the progressive damage and loss of photoreceptors, which is causing visual impairment and irreversible blindness. Stem-cell therapy is being widely considered as a promising treatment of these incurable retina diseases. However, in mammals including humans, there seems to be little or no recovery of lost cells. By contrast, nonmammalian vertebrates, such as amphibians and fish, have robust regenerative responses to injury, which can lead to the near complete restoration of the neurons lost through injury. Nevertheless ,over the past several years, studies have investigated that stem cells do exist in the adult mammalian eyes, and at least some types of neurons can be regenerated in the mammalian retina by stimulating with growth factors or transcription factors. These recent results suggest that some part of the regenerative program occurring in lower vertebrates remains in the mammalian retina. Here, the origin of various of adult retinal stem cells for the self-renewal and proliferation. and the relevant influencing factors were summarized.
