1.Ergonomics-based hypothesis of rehabilitation medicine

AIM: Based on the principle of ergonomics theory, to propose the hypothesis of rehabilitation medicine to promote standardization of rehabilitation medicine. METHODS: Through survey, observation, and experiment, human physiological and psychological factors were analyzed. Scientific ergonomics design, planning, and management were used to enhance the clinical value of rehabilitation medicine efficacy in evidence-based medicine. RESULTS: Ergonomics-based rehabilitation can resolve common defects in rehabilitation clinical work and management, and promote the standardization of medical rehabilitation objectively and scientifically. CONCLUSION: Ergonomics-based rehabilitation medicine is more objective, scientific and practical, and the repeatability of rehabilitation treatment is improved. It is worth further clinical study.
2.Relationship between dyslipidemia and inflammation in systemic sclerosis

Objective To investigate the altered lipid in systemic sclerosis(SSc),and the relationship between the altered lipid and inflammation.Methods A total of 58 SSc patients were recruited into SSc group,and 58 healthy persons were recruited into control group from 2012 to 2014.Triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-c)and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-c),lipoprotein a[LP(a)],C-reactive protein(CRP)and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) were assessed using standard techniques in all cases,antinuclear antibody(ANA)and anti-Scl-70 antibody were assessed only in SSc patients.The levels of lipids between SSc patients and healthy controls,patients with antibody and patients without antibody were compared by using t test,corrections between lipid and inflammation were analyzed by Spearman′s correlation test.Results The clinical manifestations of SSc were mostly Raynaud′s phenomenon(91.4%),large area of black hard shin(87.9%),gastrointestinal manifestations(75.9%).The rates of an increased level of TG and decreased level of HDL-c were 29.3%,89.7% respectively.The level of TG in SSc was significant higher than in healthy controls(P =0.021),and the level of HDL-c in SSc was significant lower than in healthy controls(P =0.033).The levels of lipids in patients with ANA and anti-Scl-70 antibody had no significant difference with the patients without ANA and anti-Scl-70 antibody (P >0.05 ).Spearman′s correlation test demonstrated that HDL-c level correlated negatively with serum CRP (r=-0.285,P =0.039)and ESR (r =-0.271,P =0.043)in SSc.Conclusion Dyslipi-demia is a common feature in SSc patients that are characterized by an increase in TG and a decrease in HDL-c,inflammation might partly account for the changes.
3.Pentapeptides prevent enterovirus 71 proliferation in rhabdomyosarcoma cells and mice.

Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is the main causative agent of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). This article presented the inhibitory activity of pentapeptides on the EV71 infection in rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) and suckling mice. The EV71 VP1 capsid protein expression levels and mRNA levels were analyzed by Western blotting and real-time PCR. The antiviral activity of pentapeptides in vivo was evaluated by weight changes and EV71 VP1 protein expression levels in intestines of suckling mice. Results revealed that the pentapeptide P010157 was able to inhibit EV71 replication in RD cells. After being incubated with the P010157 at a concentration of 100 microg x mL(-1) for 48 h, the level of EV71 vp1 mRNA in RD cells decreased by (92.0 +/- 6.3)%. The estimated EC50 was 2.2 microg x mL(-1). P010157 was able to inhibit EV 71-induced cytopathic effect (CPE) in RD cells. The cytotoxic activity of the compound was evaluated against RD cells by MTS assay. The results showed that P010157 had no obvious toxicity. In addition, the treated mice with P010157 did not exhibit weight loss, as was observed in untreated mice. EV71 replication reduced significantly as revealed by Western blotting. These findings suggest that P010157 could prevent EV71 proliferation in vitro and in vivo. P010157 is a novel compound for antiviral therapies against EV71, which merited further investigation.

5.Intraspinal Neurilemmoma:MRI Versus Pathologic Diagnosis

Objective To study the correlation between MRI features and pathology of intraspinal neruilemmoma.Methods MRIfeatures of intraspinal neurilemmomas proved by operation and pathology in 16 cases were analysed retrospectively and in comparison with the results of pathology.Results All the tumors were intradural-extramedullary in location,including 6 in the cervical regions,5 in the upper thoracic regions,3 in the thoracic-lumbar junction and 2 in the lumbar regions.On MRI,the tumors were marginate elliptical heterogeneousisointense or slightly low intense with punctate or patchy more low intensity areas on T_1WI and heterogeneous slightly high intense orisointense with punctate or patchy more high intensity areas on T_2WI.Parts of the masses obviously enhanced with no enhancement of more low intensity areas on T_1WI.All of above imaging manifestations were corresponding to pathology of intraspinal neurilemmomas.Interlace of Antoni A and Antoni B was attributed to heterogeneous intensity.Antoni B that was no obviously enhancement was concentrated in bleeding and cystic areas and Antoni A that was obviously enhancement was concentrated in cellular area and collagen.Conclusion The imaging manifestations of intraspinal neurilemmoma is due to its varied pathologic changes,and this has guiding significance to the correct diagnosis.

7.Characterization of human IL-2 mRNA

Large scale preparation of human IL-2 mRNA was obtained from human spleen cells stimulated with PHA+TPA at the peak of IL-2 mRNA transcription. Full length of IL-2 mRNA was translated in wheat germ extract to produce bioactive IL-2 (tIL-2). The IL-2 mRNA was about 14 S depending on the 7 M Urea-SDS-PAGE, and recovried from gel and translated in vitro. The elute curve of tIL-2 was the same as that of recombinant IL-2 (rIL-2) and natural IL-2 (nIL-2), the molecular weight of tIL-2 was about 14.000 dalton. The translational process of IL-2 mRNA in vitro was inhibited when RNA was cultured with RNase or translated product was cultured with proteinase, proving a standard in-vitro translation.
8.Cost-effectiveness Analysis of Three Therapeutic Schemes for Functional Colonic Diseases

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the economical effects of different medications on the treatment of same illness.METH_ODS:148 cases of functional colonic diseases were collected from literature and were randomly divided into three groups;colloidal bismuth artrate was given to the first group,bifidobacterium to the second and cisapride to the last.Data was evaluated using the pharmacoeconomic cost-effectiveness analysis.RESULTS:Colloidal bismuth artrate was the best medicine to treat functional colonic diseases.CONCLUSION:The pharmacoeconomics play an important role in guiding the physician to choose the best therapeutic regimen in making clinical decision,so as to gain the maximal benefit with the minimal cost.
9.EFFECT OF PANAXATRIOL SAPONIN ( PTS ) ON HUMAN LYMPHOKINE PRODUCTION AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS

Under stimulation of PHA,PHA + TPA,or PHA + PTS the time ke-netics of DNA,RNA,protein synthesis and lymphokine secretion by human lymph node cell expressed different responses. The PTS did not increase the DNA and RNA synthesis, but increased the protein synthesis ( 60% ) . TPA increased the RNA synthesis ( 18% ) , therefor increased the protein synthesis ( 40% ) . Both of TPA and PTS increased the production of 5 kinds of lymphokines (IL-1 , IL-2 , IL-3, BCGF, TFNr). We infer that PTS and TPA increase the lymphokine production through different gene regulation. TPA Promotes the translation of lymphokine mRNA。
10.PROMOTING EFFECT OF PANAXATRIOL GINSENOSIDE ON GENE EXPRESSION OF HUMAN INTERLEUKINE-3

Promoting effect of panaxatriol ginsenoside ( PTGS ) on inter-leukine-3(IL-3 ) induction of phyto-hemagglutinin ( PHA ) stimulated human lymph node cells was observed. The results showed that PTGS enhanced the IL-3 production on each time of IL-3-induction kinetics, maximally by 30% ( 72h ) . Furthermore, it was observed that IL-3 mRNA from PHA+PTGS-stimulated lymph node cells translated more IL-3 than PHA-stimulated lymph node cells on each time of IL-3 mRNA-induction kinetics, maximally by 40% ( 60h ) , using the methods of wheat germ cell-free in vitro translation system and IL-3 bioassay.
