6.Some paraclinical characteristic of intocicative diffuse thyroid disease (basedow) combining with Hashimoto auto immune thyroiditis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):15-17
At the Hospital N0103, the characteristics of basedow symptoms were studied in 125 patients with basedow in combining with Hashimoto disease in comparing with 88 patients of simple basedow. Results showed no obvious difference between simple basedow patients and basedow associated with Hashimoto in terms of age of developing disease, of peripheral white blood cells, of basal metabolism, electro heart rate, T3, T4, FT4 level and Thyrotropin. 100% of patients who were diagnosed pathoanatomically as basedow in combining with Hashimoto, were diagnosed clinically as simple basedow. 98.8% of patients of basedow in combining with Hashimoto who underwent a biopsy of cell aspiration had got confirmed diagnosis

7.Autoimmune thyroiditis as initial presentation of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus complicated by massive ascites: A case report

Journal of the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies 2017;32(1):50-53
Autoimmune thyroiditis in the course of other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is common because these disorders are attributed to the production of autoantibodies against various autoantigens. Beyond this association, autoimmune thyroiditis can occur before, during or after the development of SLE. In this report, we describe a female who presented with facial puffiness, lethargy and progressive abdominal distension. She was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis followed by the diagnosis of SLE complicated by a massive ascites, a rare form of lupus peritonitis, which is sterile ascites that results from severe serositis. Her presentation was complex and posed a diagnostic challenge and dilemma to the physicians involved in her care.

Peg-interferon is the main therapeutic agent in patients infected with the hepatitis C virus. It is rather safe, but it is known to induce production of autoantibodies and it can lead to the occurrence of autoimmune disease. Interferon induced thyroiditis is considered a major clinical problem for patients who receive interferon therapy. We recently experienced a 36 year-old woman who developed peg-interferon induced thyroiditis. To the best of our knowledge, this is a rare case report in Korea. We report here on this casea long with a review of the literature.

Korean Journal of Pathology 2004;38(3):200-203
An unusual oncocytic papillary thyroid carcinoma with abundant lymphoid stroma bearing a resemblance to Warthin? tumor of salivary gland is described. We report a rare case of a Warthin-like tumor variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma in a 41-year-old-woman. Histologically, the tumor was characterized by oncocytic follicular cells showing nuclear features reminiscent of papillary carcinoma and lymphoid rich stroma. The surrounding non-neoplastic thyroid parenchyma showed focal peritumoral lymphocytic thyroiditis.
