81 children with three age group of 9, 12 and 14 in Th¸i Nguyªn received the cardiac ultrasound to evaluate the major parameters. The results have shown that cardiac size was gradually increased as increased age. The changes of cardiac size was correlated closely with the body weight in some parameters including the left cardiac ventricular diameter in the end of diastolic stage (Dd) and of systolic stage (Ds), the posterior wall thickness of left ventricular in the end of systolic stage (LWS)) and inter ventricular septal thickness.

Study on 200 patients with hypertension in Th¸i Nguyªn Central General Hospital during 1997-1998 by the clinical and paraclinical methods have shown that the rate of hypertension is increasingly as increased age, most common in ages of 41-70, who are on activities, male, nervous activities and Kinh nation, habit of use of much salt and use of stimulators such as wine, cigarettes were risk factors.
