Mondor's disease is an uncommon superficial thrombophlebitis of the anterolateral thoraco-ab dominal wall. It's cause is unknown, but it is often associated with recent local trauma, muscular strain, and strenuous exercise. It has clinical features of a palpable, tender, linear cutaneous nodule and is always almost unilateral, and solitary, but rarely multiple. A 39-year-old man presented multiple cord-like tender subcutaneous linear lesions on the left ventrolateral thoracoabdominal wall for 3 weeks. He had done strenuous exercise and stretching for 2 months prior to his visit. Histologic finding revealed thrombophlebitis. The lesion did not involute with systemic and intralesional steroids, but three months later, it disappeared.

Mondor's disease is a uncommon disorder characterized by superficial thrombophlbitis, classically of thoracoabdominal wall. In about 50%-60% of cases, the cause is not determined, whereas in the others it is due to primary or secondary hypercoagulation requiring careful investigation. A 30-year- old woman presented a cord-like tender subcutaneous lesion on the left thoracoabdominal wall and histologic finding reveals thrombophlebitis. We found no evidence for primary and secondary hypercoagulable states.

3.A Case of Behcet's Disease Associated with Pyoderma Gangrenosum.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 2002;40(5):577-580
A variety of cutaneous lesions have been described in Behcet's disease including erythema nodosum-like lesion, pseudofolliculitis, papulopustular eruption, subcutaneous thrombophlebitis, erythema multiforme-like lesion and pyoderma gangrenosum, etc. Pyoderma gangrenosum has rarely been reported in association with Behcet's disease. However, there is an extensive clinical and histological overlap between Behcet's disease and pyoderma gangrenosum. We report a case of Behcet's disease associated with pyoderma gangrenosuma.

Mondor's disease is an uncommon superficial thrombophlebitis, usually of thracoabdominal wall. The exact cause is unclear, but it is suggested that the trauma, strenous exercise, breast surgery are often associated. Clinically, it is characterized by a palpable, tender, linear cutaneous groove and it is always almost unilateral. We report a case of bilateral Mondor's disease. 49 year old female presented a cord like subcutaneous lesion on right thoracoabdomial wall. She had a history of strenous exercise for several weeks. Histologic exam reveals thrombophlebitis. A week later, the patient had another same linear subcutaeous lesion on left abdomen.

Mondor's disease is commonly known as thrombophlebitis of the superficial vein in the breast, and this disease occurs rarely in the penis. Despite extensive information about the clinical presentation and course of this disease, imaging findings for this disease are limited. We report gray scale and power Doppler sonographic findings of penile Mondor's disease.

Mondor's disease, thrombophlebitis of the subcutaneous veins, is an uncommon condition. It has clinical features of sudden development of localized pain to be followed by a palpable and visible tender, linear, branching cutaneous groove. The patient was a 43-year-old man who showed two cord like tender subcutaneous grooves on the left lower quadrant of the abdomen. He had done vigorous weightlifting for one month prior to his visit. Histopathologic finding showed occlusion of vessels by organized thrombus.

Mondor's disease is a superficial thrombophlebitis of anterolateral chest wall. The exact cause is unclear, but it is suggested that Mondor's disease is often associated with recent local trauma, muscular strain, or breast surgery. We report two cases with Mondor's disease who had malignant lymphoma. The coagulation profile was normal in both patients. The nodule involuted with analgesics within several months. The possibility of Mondor's disease associated with hypercoagulable state from malignancy may be suggested.

Arcanobacterium haemolyticum was isolated from the blood cultures of a previously healthy 37-year-old man who met all the criteria of Lemierre syndrome, including a primary oropharyngeal infection, evidence of thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein, and metastatic infections. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of Lemierre syndrome caused by A. haemolyticum in Korea and shows that A. haemolyticum alone can cause Lemierre syndrome.

We report a case of Mondor's disease, or superficial thrombophlebitis of the chest wall, which occured in a 35-year-old female after a mild blunt trauma of the right chest wall. She had 0.3 × 25 cm, firm, tender, bifurcated cord-like lesions on the right chest and upper abdomen for two weeks. The histopathologic findings corresponded to the “thrombus organization” stage of Mondor's disease, characterized by numerous small areas of recanalization with marked surrounding fibrosis. The patient was treated with non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs and warm compresses. Within 7 weeks, the cord-like lesions virtually disappeared.
