Distal intersection syndrome indicates simultaneous tenosynovitis or tendinosis of the second and third extensor compartment where extensor pollicis longus cross with the tendons of the second extensor compartment. We report three cases of distal intersection syndrome which differ from usual intersection syndrome.

Journal of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand 2012;17(2):72-75
Tuberculous tenosynovitis usually presents as a chronic, slowly progressive disease. It is difficult to detect in early phase and diagnosis frequently requires biopsy in addition to stain or culture. Authors describe a case who had a Marjolin's ulcer secondary to tuberculous tenosynovitis of the wrist.

Open reduction and internal fixation using volar plating for the treatment of distal radial fractures (DRFs) is becoming an increasingly popular method. Tenosynovitis of extensor tendons causes delayed extensor pollicis longus (EPL) tendon rupture which known as complication following screw penetration of the dorsal cortex after volar plating for DRFs. As the reconstructive procedure for a closed ruptured EPL tendon in minimal displaced DRF, extensor indicis proprius (EIP) transfer is widely used. However, tendon injuries of the fourth compartment, which includes the extensor digitorum communis or EIP, can be caused by screw irritation after volar plating for DRFs. We encountered a rare case of failed EIP tendon transfer for delayed EPL tendon rupture after volar plating for a DRF. Because the EIP tendon can also be damaged by screw penetration, care must be taken to use EIP tendon for treatment of delayed EPL rupture after volar plating for DRFs.

Journal of Korean Foot and Ankle Society 2008;12(2):210-215
Peroneal tendon dislocation in association with calcaneal fracture is not common and difficult to diagnose and is often overlooked. It can result in peroneal tendon tear and tenosynovitis which in turn lead to ankle pain and dysfunction. Early detection with through physical examination and CT scan is important to reduce the subsequent tendon dysfunction. We experienced 6 cases of peroneal tendon dislocation associated with calcaneal fracture, and treated 3 of them at the time of fracture operation and treated the other 3 after calcaneal fracture surgery due to sustained pain. We report the results with a review of the literature.

Journal of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand 2015;20(4):204-208
Although flexor tendon triggering due to stenosing flexor tenosynovitis is common clinically, extensor triggering is quite rare. Known common causes are impingement between extensor tendon and extensor retinaculum, stenosis of the tendon sheath, and impingement between extensor tendon and osteophyte. We report rare case of triggering in the little finger caused by impingement between extensor digiti minimi and synovial septum.
