We developed the system that enables patients to be treated at home during their daily life through digital telemetry and public communication line. In this study, video conference based remote examination and wireless telemetry were integrated together to form a remote monitoring homecare system, and underwent the validation. Test ECG signals were transmitted wirelessly unhindering the person's movement in one floor of our building, and the stability was assessed. The signal were transmitted to remote host via ISDN, with the patient's voice and moving image. To control the system and manage files remotely, the interactive model was devised for this study.

We have developed a new wrist wearing heart rate monitoring alarm apparatus, which can detect the patients' real-time pulse waves. When the abnormal heart rate appears or pulse disappears, the monitoring alarm will sound and dial the remote telephone for help simultaneously. This apparatus uses the switch circuit to control the keyboard of mobile phone, and dials remote telephone in the help of mature technology and communication platform of mobile phones. The intelligent program can distinguish digital pulse signal, pick out the correct cycle of heartbeat intelligently. The new wrist wearing heart rate monitoring alarm apparatus will calculate an average heart rate when it captures consecutively five correct electrocardiograph waveforms. It really provides a simple, inexpensive and effective way for the patients with heart disease.

A kind of real-time remote monitoring embedded terminal which is combined with mobile communication technology and GPS localization technology, has been developed. The results of preliminary experiments show that the terminal can transmit ECG signals and localization information in real time and continuously, supply a real-time monitoring of out-of-hospital cardiac patients and trace the patients.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: It has been suggested that lead impedance measurements with using real-time telemetry may offer a good estimation of the lead system integrity, and the serial measurement of the pacing lead impedance over time is a useful tool to monitor the pacing lead performance. However, there has been no consistent data about the changes of lead impedance over time. Therefore, we investigated the correlation of the direct lead impedance and the telemetered lead impedance, and the changes of lead impedance over time in both the atrial and ventricular leads. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The direct and telemetered lead impedances were measured at the time of the initial implantation. One-hundred and five patients (mean age: 62.5+/-13.5 years, 47 males, 47 atrial leads and 105 ventricular leads) who were without lead failure for more than 4 years since the initial implantation were included in the study. Afterwards, the telemetered lead impedance was examined at 2-month and at 12-month after implantation and then annually for 4 years in all the patients at a pacemaker clinic. RESULTS: At the initial implantation, the direct lead impedance and the telemetered lead impedance were 470.2+/-12.2omega and 540.9+/-11.6omega, respectively, in the atrial leads (r=0.72, p<0.01) and 623.7+/-14.6omega and 717.1+/-17.3omega, respectively, in the ventricular leads (r=0.82, p<0.01). In the atrial leads, the mean telemetered lead impedance rose to 583.0+/-14.0omega (p<0.01 vs baseline) at 2 months and it stabilized thereafter (p=NS). In contrast, the mean lead impedance was decreased to 653.6+/-15.6omega (p<0.01 vs baseline) at the 2-month follow-up, and then it stabilized in the ventricular leads (p=NS). CONCLUSION: There was a good correlation between the direct and telemetered lead impedance, and there was a different tendency for the change of lead impedance during the lead maturation between the atrial and ventricular leads. The telemetered lead impedance was substantially stable since the 2 months after the implantation.

This paper proposed a real-time monitoring system for running status of medical monitors based on the internet of things. In the aspect of hardware, a solution of ZigBee networks plus 470 MHz networks is proposed. In the aspect of software, graphical display of monitoring interface and real-time equipment failure alarm is implemented. The system has the function of remote equipment failure detection and wireless localization, which provides a practical and effective method for medical equipment management.

As information communication technology developed we could check our blood pressure, pulsation, electrocardiogram, saturation of arterial oxygen (Sa02) and serologic chemical tests easily at home. It is possible though interlocking the house medical instrument with the wireless public data network. Data from patients can be transmitted to the distant hospital and will be essentially applied through wireless public data network. In this study we measured electrocardiogram (ECG) for the telemetry. We put the EGG function into the movable device and add 900MHz band wireless public data interface, through which patients could record EGG and keep the data at home. We used wireless network modem and NCL (Native Gontrol Language) protocol to contact through wireless network, and 8CR (Standard Context Routing) protocol in the networkto connect to the wired host computer. The host computer checks the recorded individual EGG data and then sends the correspondant reply to the movable device. The study suggests the medical transmit system model utilized by the wireless public data network. The suggestion in the study of telemetry system provides movement and preservation. And it will exam the health condition in distance or at home.

Telemedicine is gaining more and more momentum as a new approach for patients'surveillance. They need to be monitored frequently in order to detect any deterioration. In this paper,we design a electrocardiographic telemetry system using General Packet Radio Service(GPRS). This design adds to traditional Holter capability of monitoring the patients'heart anywhere, anytime.
