Objcetive: To investigate the effect of resveratrol (RES)combined with cisplatin (DDP)on the cholangiocarcinoma cell line FRH-0201 in vitro. Methods: FRH-0201 cells were exposed to different concentrations of RES or (and)DDP. Cell morphological changes were observed by light and fluorescence microscopy. Inhibition of cell proliferation was measured by MTT and colony-forming assay. And the flow cytometry were performed to detect the cell apoptosis rate and cell cycle. Results: Resveratrol inhibited the proliferation of FRH-0201 cells in a time-and dose-dependent manner in the concentration of 5~320 ?mol/L and the IC50 values after the exposure of 24, 48, and 72 h were 55.35, 32.84, and 28.01 ?mol/L respectively. RES and DDP had synergetic effect in the inhibition of FRH-0201 cells. Conclusion: RES can inhibit the growth of FRH-0201 cells and has the synergetic effect with DDP.

Pediatric surgery is the important part of the paediatrics, and the complicated content, limited time and many difficulties are the main problems of pediatric surgery teaching. The multimedia courseware is used in teaching of pediatric surgery, which is convenient for teachers'preparing lessons and teaching and is beneficial to students'review and summary. After the technique is used, the teaching efficiency and the quality are obviously improved.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in the perihematomal tissues in human hypertensive, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and brain edema formation following ICH.Methods Paraffin-embedded brain tissues of 39 human fatal cases of ICH from the perihematomal tissues,1—3 cm away from the margin of the hemorrhagic lesion,as well as tissues from the corresponding area at the opposite side as controls, were stained with HE and immunohistochemistry staining. The expressions of MMP-9 and ICAM-1 in the pefihematomal tissues were analyzed with the SPSS 11.5 system. Results ①With MMP-9 immunohistochemical staining positive capillaries in the perihematomal tissues were identified at 2 h ((1.2? 0.8)/HP).The number of MMP-9 positive capillaries began to rise at 5—10 h ((4.1?0.8)/HP) reaching the peak at 45—48 h ((10.6?1.4)/HP,P

Objective:To establish ICU transitional care program. Methods:Delphi method was used to interview 25 experts and two rounds of mailing interview were taken. Results:The returning rates of two rounds of mailing were both 100%. The authority coefficient of the experts was 0.808, and coordination coefficient of experts ′ opinion was 0.179. The program included 7 first level indexes, 8 second level indexes, and 40 third level indexes, including purpose, nursing object, implementer, time point, place, nursing content and evaluation indicators. According to different time points, it was divided to three phases: before, during, and after transfer from the ICU to a general ward. Conclusions:The program developed in this study is scientific and reliable, which can provide some reference for the practice and research of ICU transitional care in China.

Objective To observe any curative effect of applying comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation in moderate and severe cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods A total of 135 persons hospitalized with moderate or severe COPD were randomly divided into a rehabilitation group of 75 and acontrol group of 60.Both groups were given routine treatment, while the rehabilitation group was additionally provided with a comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation regimen, including health education, exercise training, respiratory function training, respiratory muscle training, psychological support and nutritional intervention for six months. Before and after the treatment, both groups were evaluated using their walking distance within 6 minutes (6MWD),an anhelation index,a COPD assessment test (CAT),the Beck anxiety and depression scale,a nutritional assessment and indexes of pulmonary function and blood gases. Results After the intervention the average 6 MWD,anhelation index,CAT score,Beck anxiety and depression scores, forced expiratory volume, forced vital capacity and PaO2 of the rehabilitation group were all significantly better than before the treatment and better than those of the control group. Conclusion For moderate and severe COPD patients, comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation effectively strengthens their moving ability, pulmonary function and arterial partial pressure of oxygen, while relieving anhelation, anxiety and depression.

OBJECTIVETo review the experience for the management of hepatocellular carcinoma with tumor thrombus in inferior vena cava.
METHODSFrom July 2003 to May 2005, hepatectomy combined with thrombectomy were performed on 7 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma with tumor thrombus in inferior vena cava. In order to remove the tumor thrombus in inferior vena cava, total hepatic vascular exclusion were adopted on all cases to control the blood flow of IVC. According to the position of extension of tumor thrombus, 5 different procedures were adopted in the cases to control the suprahepatic IVC and extract the tumor thrombus out of IVC and atrium. Procedure 1: Median sternotomy, extracorporeal bypass, cardiac arrest, incision on right atrium and IVC were performed on 1 case for thrombectomy. Procedure 2: Median sternotomy, extracorporeal bypass without cardiac arrest, incision on IVC and (or without) incision on right atrium were performed on 2 cases for thrombectomy. Procedure 3: Abdominal approach to control intrapericardial IVC through an incision on diaphragm was performed on 1 case for thrombectomy. Procedure 4: Abdominal approach to control suprahepatic IVC above diaphragm through a small incision made on vena cava foramen for thrombectomy was performed on 1 case. Procedure 5: Abdominal approaches to control suprahepatic IVC below diaphragm for thrombectomy were performed on 2 cases.
RESULTSAll operations were successfully performed. The postoperative complications included pleural effusion in 1 case, subphrenic fluid collection in 1 case and wound infection in 1 case. The average survival time of 7 cases was 9.8 month. The longest survival time was 26 months.
CONCLUSIONHepatectomy and thrombectomy can be safely performed on the case of HCC combined with tumor thrombus in IVC. Surgical treatment can relieve the patient from the risk of sudden death caused by heart failure and pulmonary.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical value and significance of retrograde caudate lobectomy.
METHODSFrom December 2003 to January 2005, 7 patients underwent retrograde caudate lobectomy in which division and ligation of short hepatic veins were carried out at the final stage of the procedure in stead of at the initial stage.
RESULTSThe procedures were carried out smoothly with no operative death in all the 7 cases including isolated complete caudate lobectomy in 4 cases, isolated partial caudate lobectomy in 1 case, combined right half liver resection in 2 case. The average operation time, blood loss and length of stay after operation was (273 +/- 44) min, (1114 +/- 241) ml (800-1500 ml) and 16 days respectively. Complications including pleural effusion and ascites in 1 case respectively were fully recovered. During the follow-up, 1 patient died at 6 months for tumor recurrence in lung and the remaining 6 patients are alive at the follow-up of 5 to 16 months.
CONCLUSIONSRetrograde caudate lobectomy is a new procedure suitable for those caudate neoplasms which are adhering to or infiltrating to IVC or too big to move side by side. The application of this technique can converse certain kind of caudate lobe tumor from non-resectable to resectable resulting in widening the indication.
