Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(22):-
Cytomegalovirus(CMV) is an important pathogen of congenital and postnatal infections in children, which causes a series of acute and chronic infectious diseases and nervous system sequelaes.Early and accurate diagnosis of pediatric CMV infection is an effective way to improve health in children. This paper will introduce the types, laboratory techniques and diagnostic strategies of CMV infection based on the diagnostic standards at home and abroad, and also focus on current progress in diagnosis of pediatric CMV infection.

Objective To evaluate the effects of L-aronine(L-Arg) on LPS-induced lung mitochondrial injury in rats. Methods Twenty.four male SD rats weighing 230-270 g were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=8 each):groupⅠsham operation(S);group ⅡLPS and group Ⅲ LPS+L-Arg.LPS 5 mg/kg in normal saline(NS)1 ml/kg waft given iv in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ while in group Ⅰ NS 1 ml/kg was given iv instead of LPS. L-Arg 500 ms/kg in NS 1 ml/kg was given intrapefitoneally(IP)at 3 h after LPS administration in group Ⅲ,while in group Ⅰ I and Ⅱ NS1 ml/kg was injected IP instead of L-Arg.The animals were sacrificed at 3 h after L-Arg injection by exsanguination and the lungs were immediately removed. The mitochondrias of the lungs were isolated by differentia centrifugation. The activities of SOD,GSH-Px,ATPase,inducible,constitutive and total nitric oxide synthase(iNOS,cNOS,NOS)and MDA and NO contents, the degree of mitochondrial swelling,mitocho-ndrial activity and membrBne fluidity of mitochondria wefe measured.Ultrastructure of cells in lung was examined wlth eleciron microscope. Results The SOD,GSH-Px.ATPase and mitochondriai activities and the membrane fluidity of mitochondria were significantly decreased, while the MDA and NO contents and iNOS,NOS activities and the degree of mitochondriM swelling in the lung were significantly increased in group LPS as compared with group S.The lung cytoplasm and mitoehondria swelled, the cfistae were disrupted, dissolved or disappeared in LPS group(Ⅱ).The LPS-induced changes were ameliorated by L-Arg in group Ⅲ as compared with group Ⅱ.Conclusion L-Arg can attenuate lung mitochondrinl injury induced by LPS by enhancing antioxidative effects.

Objective To discuss the clinical features of dystonia manifested as Parkinsonism ( PKS) . Methods Clinical materials of a patient with dystonia manifested as PKS were analyzed retrospectively. Results The onset age of the young women was 31 years old, who was started asymmetrically with symptoms of claudication and tremor of the right foot. Levodopa had a short-term effect. The results of dopamine transporter ( DAT) PET showed that DAT in retrolentiform part were decreased significantly. Atypical Parkinson's disease was considered and she was treated as PKS long-termly. Subsequently, heterozygous mutation of c. 268-4T>A (NM_018105) in DYT6 gene was found through the next-generation sequencing, which was a kind of splicing mutation and confirmed by the first-generation sequencing. Conclusions Patients with dystonia might share similar clinical manifestations with PKS. Particularly, they should be differentiated with young-onset Parkinson's disease combined with focal dystonia. Clinical observation and genetic testing are important approaches to differentiate them.

Objective To investigate the relationship among the activity of protein kinase C (PKC) in platelets of maternal vein and umbilical blood , the pathophysiological changes of pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH) and fetal growth restriction (FGR) in PIH patients. Methods Activities of PKC in membrane and plasma of platelets from maternal vein and umbilical blood taken from 35 PIH patients and 20 normal pregnant women were measured with substrate phosphorylation method. Results No difference was shown in the PKC activities between the mild PIH patients and normal pregnant women in both maternal and cord blood. The PKC activities in moderate and severe PIH patients were significantly higher than those of the normal pregnant group. In normal pregnant women, the PKC activity in membrane and plasm of the platelets had no significant difference. In the moderate and severe PIH group, PKC activity in membrane was far more higher than the plasm 46?6 vs 37?4 pmol/(min?mg protein), P

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2000;0(04):-
Objective To study the change of interleakin-18 (IL-18) in patients of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome(PIH) and its correlation with endothelint-1 (ET-1). Methods Serum levels of IL-18 and plasma levels of ET-1 in 47 PIH patients and 30 normal pregnancy women were measured with ELISA and RSA respectively. Results (1)Serum IL-18 of PIH group (M=43.76 ng/L) was significantly higher than that of normal pregnancy group (M=37.975 ng/L) , H=42.845,P

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 1998;0(01):-
Objective To address angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor (AT 1R) gene polymorphism and its relationship with plasma endothelin (ET) in PIH. Methods Gene polymorphism of AT 1R at site 1166 was detected with polymerase chain reaction (PCR), digestion of restriction enzyme and electrophoresis. Plasma ET was measured by radioimmunoassay. Results 1. The frequencies of genotype(AC and CC) at 1166 of AT 1R gene and C allele in PIH individuals were significantly higher than those of control group, (? 2=11.06, 9.73, respectively, P0.05). Conclusions 1. The variant (A→C) of 1166 polymorphism site of AT 1R is associated with the generation of PIH, and C allele may be a susceptible gene to PIH. 2.There is relationship between AT 1R gene and plasma ET level in PIH patients.

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 1998;0(03):-
Objective To study the value of Oxytocin challenge test (OCT) in high-risk pregnancy with abnormal umbilical artery resistance and the clinical significance of performing the umbilical velocimetry during OCT. Methods One hundred and seventy patients with abnormal umbilical artery resistance but maintained forward diastolic flow and 178 patients with normal umbilical blood flow received OCT, umbilical velocimetry was conducted during OCT. If the umbilical artery pulsatility index (PI) increased more than 0.5 during contraction and OCT was positive, cesarean section was performed in the same day, otherwise, vaginal delivery was tried. Results The rate of positive OCT was 45.3% and 10.1% respectively and the rate of positive OCT with umbilical artery PI increasing more than 0.5 was 37.4% and 6.7% respectively in abnormal umbilical artery flow resistance group and normal umbilical artery flow group ( P
