1.Clinical outcome evaluation of selective laser trabeculoplasty as the initial therapy for primary open angle glaucoma
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2014;32(2):163-167
Background Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is one of common therapies for early-stage primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).However,it always been used as a method of treating medically uncontrolled open angle glaucoma in China. So the assessment of efficacy of SLT as the initial therapy for POAG is still lack. Objective This clinical study was to compare the efficacy of SLT in early-stage POAG eyes with or without primary medical therapy. Methods A prospective non-randomized controlled study was designed.Sixty-five eyes of 37 patients with early-stage POAG were divided into without pre-treated group (30 eyes of 16 patients) and with pretreated group (35 eyes of 21 patients).SLT was performed on the inferior trabecular meshwork of 180° in all the patients aged 12-57 years old using a 532 nm frequency-doubled,Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with the pulse 3 ns,spot diameter 400 μm.The emitting energy was set from an initial energy of 0.6 mJ to decreased energy successively at 0.1 mJ interval till bubbles coming out.The following-up was 6 months.Primary outcome of SLT included the changes of intraocular pressure (IOP) and effective rate, and the secondary outcome included the perimetry and C/D value. The safety index was evaluated as the incidence of irritative symptom. Results After SLT 1 day to 6 months, the IOP was lower than that before SLT in all the patients (all at P<0.05).The IOP was (24.03± 3.76)mmHg and (19.18±3.86)mmHg respectively at preoperation and postoperative 1 month in without pretreated group, with a mean decreasing value of (4.85 ±4.31)mmHg,in with pretreated group, the IOP was (23.63±4.29)mmHg at preoperation and (17.07±4.15)mmHg at postoperative 1 month, with a mean difference of (6.28±3.57)mmHg,with a significant difference in the IOP lowing value between the two groups (P =0.045),but there were no significant differences in the IOP lowing value between without and with pretreated groups in 1 hour,1 day,3 months and 6 months after SLT (all at P>0.05).The effective rate was 75.00% and 76.67% in without and with pretreated groups respectively at the end of following-up (P =0.882).No obvious changes were seen in visual field and C/D value before and after SLT in both groups. Also,no serious complication was found in the patients during the following-up duration. Conclusions SLT has a good outcome in lowing-IOP for early stage POAG.There is no obvious impact to the clinical efficacy of SLT whether with or without the primary administration of anti-glaucomatous eye drops.Long-term effect of SLT remains to be observed.
2.Roles of UBE2C in breast cancer and its clinical significance
Journal of International Oncology 2015;(10):766-768
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme 2C (UBE2C)is involved in cell cycle progression, mitosis regulation and targeted degradation of short-lived proteins.UBE2C is the cancer-related ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, which is significantly higher in breast cancer tissues compared to the adjacent normal tissue. The abnormal expression of UBE2C participates in the process of occurrence, development and metastasis of breast cancer by the regulation of cell cycle progression,C-erbB-2,cell apoptosis factors and metastasis related genes. It will provide reference for the diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer.

5.Inflammatory response in cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(6):830-835
The remodeling and reparative process post myocardial infarction (MI) can be divided into three phases:the inflammatory phase, the proliferative phase and the stable phase. The inflammatory immune response plays an important part in the process of cardiac remodeling.First of all,the initiation of inflammatory response relies on the activation of innate immunity with a group of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines and adhesion molecules. These molecules lead to the infiltration of the infarct area with neutrophils and mononuclear cells, further clearing the wound from dead cardiomyocytes and matrix debris. After resolution of inflammatory response, reparative cells and cytokines infiltrate into the heart and promote the differentiation and growth of myofibroblasts and endothelial cells, contributing to wound contraction as well as producing fiber tissue to form a scar. Moreover, overactive immune responses could accentuate infarct injury and dilative remodeling while deficiency of inflammation leads to insufficient repair, which highlights the dual function of the immune response in myocardial injury and repair post MI.Also the intense immune response along with fibrosis in non-infarct area is also closely associated with adverse remodeling. Thus, targeting specific factors in the inflammatory reaction may hold promise in patients with MI.
6.Application of Manual Stitching Technique for Digital Radiography in Total Knee Arthroplasty
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2014;(4):456-458,459
Objective To obtain panorama X-ray images of the lower extremity with a simple method, eliminate the mosai-cing error, and apply this manual stitching technique for digital radiography to the measurement of the force line in total knee arthroplasty. Methods The track of X-ray tube was preset, and Dicom format data were collected by using digital X-ray ima-ging.Then,the data were imported to photoshop CS4 for manual image registration and image fusion. The reliability of the film was tested by comparing the vertical length of the body symbols proj ection in the coronal plane with that on the panorama X-ray (AutoCAD 2010)images.Moreover,the hip-knee-ankle angle was compared before and after operation. Results The matching sample t-test showed there were no significant differences in the length(4 groups of data)between the greater trochanter femur and the fibular head, and between the fibular head and the lateral malleolus between before and after operation(P>0.05 for all) .The hip-knee-ankles angle was much greater after operation than that before operation. Conclusion This manual stitching technique for digital radiography can produce seamless and precise panorama X-ray images, which can be used to reflect the length and angle of the lower extremity before and after operation.
7.Consideration on the Reflection of the Accumulation of Medical Ethics during the Resistance to SARS
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
During the resistance to SARS, medical staff's medical ethics accumulation reflects generously. The test of SARS has promoted the medical staff's social responsibility consciousness, strengthened the coordination between each other and sublimed the morals in the whole society. Therefore, the sufficient realization of the accumulation of medical ethics depends on the enhancement of hygiene industry input;the display of the accumulation of medical ethics depends on the positive propaganda and encouragement to medical staff; the expansion of the medical ethics epitaxy depends on the fully excavation and utilization of the accumulation of medical ethics.
8.Brain Efficient Connectivity Analysis of Attention Based on the Granger Causality Method.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2016;33(1):56-60
The study of brain information flow is of great significance to understand brain function in the field of neuroscience. The Granger causality is widely used functional connectivity analysis using multivariate autoregressive model based on the predicted mechanism. High resolution electroencephalogram (EEG) signals of ten healthy subjects were collected with a visual selective attention task. Firstly, independent component analysis was used to extract three spatially independent components of the occipital, parietal, and frontal cortices. Secondly, the Granger causal connectivity was computed between these three regions based on the Granger causality method and then independent sample t-test and bootstrap were used to test the significance of connections. The results showed that Granger causal connectivity existed from frontal to occipital and from parietal to occipital in attentional condition, while causal connectivity from frontal to occipital disappeared in unattentional condition.

Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases 2015;(3):141-144
Objective To explore the effects of low dose intravenous minocycline on neurological function and the expression of RGMa in rats after focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion. Methods Fifty-five adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group, cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group and minocycline-treat?ed group. The cerebral ischemia/reperfusion model was established by 2 h of middle cerebral artery occlusion. At 2 weeks after ischemia reperfusion, the expression levels of RGMa and growth associated protein 43 (GAP-43) were ana?lyzed by using immunohistochemistry and Western blot, respectively. Neurological functional recovery was evaluated us?ing both the modified neurological severity score (mNSS) and staircase test at 2, 7,14 and 28 d after ischemia reperfusion. Results Minocycline at a dose of 3 mg/kg via the caudal vein significantly reduced the expression of RGMa protein (0.53± 0.08 vs. 1.17±0.15, P<0.05) and enhanced the expression of GAP-43 protein (0.94±0.10 vs. 0.57±0.09, P<0.05) in isch?emic cortex 2 weeks after ischemia reperfusion. Moreover, minocycline could reduce mNSS and improve forelimb motor function when compared to the I/R group (P<0.05). Conclusions Low dose intravenous minocycline (3 mg/kg) can im?prove neurological functional recovery in a rat model of focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion and the mechanism may be re? lated to the down-regulation of RGMa expression and up-regulation of GAP-43 expression.
