China Pharmacy 2007;0(32):-
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of reduced glutathione in the treatment of drug-induced liver disease. METHODS: Literatures were retrieved from PubMed, Medline, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CBM, VIP, CNKI databases by computer and from relevant Chinese medical journals by hand. Trial selection, quality evaluation and information extraction were performed according to including and excluding criteria. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.0 software. RESULTS: The meta-analysis of 13 included RCTs showed that total effective rate, ALT and total bilirubin in trial group were significantly different from control group(P

The correlation between pulmonary endothelin receptors and alveolar-arterial oxygen gradient (A-aDO2) in rats with hepatopulmonary syndrome was investigated. Animals were divided into 2 groups: Sham-operated (Sham) group and common bile duct ligation (CBDL) group. Arterial blood gas was evaluated by a blood gas analyzer. The concentrations of ET-1 in blood and lung tissue sample were evaluated by radioimmunoassay. The distribution and expression of two kinds of subtype receptor of ET-1, ETRA and ETRB were examined by in situ hybridization. The results showed that the level of A-aDO2 was higher in CBDL group than that in Sham group (P < 0.05). The levels of plasma and pulmonary ET-1 in CBDL group were both higher than in Sham group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in average A of ETRA between two groups by imaging analysis (0.21 +/- 0.06 vs 0.22 +/- 0.08, P > 0.05), while that of ETRB was higher in CBDL group than in Sham group (0.58 +/- 0.16 vs 0.28 +/- 0.07, P < 0.05). The expression of ETRB in lung was positively correlated with A-aDO2 (P < 0.05). It was concluded that the widened A-aDO2 may be related with enhancement of the expression of ETRB in lung.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2015;14(9):20-23
Objective To summarize the measures for nursing mechanical ventilated patients who suffered from respiratory failure caused by acute severe organophosphorus pesticide poisoning (ASOPP). Method Retrospectively, the nursing clinical data of 18 mechanically ventilated patients who suffered from ASOPP-induced respiratory failure in ICU from January 2013 to December 2014 were analyzed for summarizing the nursing measures concerning preventive extubation, airway humidification and sputum sucking, prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia and final extubation. Result Sixteen ASOPP patients successfully recovered after hospital discharge and another two died from multiple organ function failure because of excessive pesticides. Conclusions Effective observation and nursing care of airways based on their characteristics in ASOPP patients including prevention of unexpected shedding , appropriate humidity of airways and prevention of infection of ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP). All of these measures can reduce complications and contribute to the early recovery of patients.

Objective To evaluate the outcome of patients using intra-aortic balloon pump IABP undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting and to assess the results. Methods From December 2001 to December 2011,eighty-two consecutive patients, who used IABP undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting were studied. The out-come of early complication, mortality,LVEF were analyzed. Results Fourteen patients died.Forty-three patients, who used IABP,no serious complications (malignant arrhythmia, renal insufficience),preoperative LVEF was (46.0 ± 1.8) %,LVEDD was (66.0 ± 4.1) mm,early postoperative LVEF was (50.0 ± 2.7) %,LVEDD was (53.0 ± 2.8) mm (P < 0.05).Conclusion Use of IABP decreased early mortality, and postopertive respiratory tract infections, renal insufficiency were the main complication.Positive use of IABP postoperatively can decrease early mortality.

Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery 2016;32(4):205-207
Objective To study the early clinical outcome of patients undergone minimally invasive direct coronary bypass(MIDCAB) surgery, and the mid-term patency of left internal mammary artery(LIMA)-left anterior descending(LAD) anastomosis. Methods From Jannuary 2007 to May 2014,47 cases underwent MIDCAB surgery in our department, with 35 males and 12 females, aged 48-76 years, with the average of (62.9 ± 8.1) years old.Types of LAD lesions were as followed:1 case was ostial total obstruction,28 severe stenosis at proximal segment,10 long and severe stenosis,3 calcified lesion with severe stenosis,5 myocardial bridge. All patients had symptomatic angina, typical myocardial ischemia could be detected by electrocardiogram for all patients with myocardial bridge.Comorbidities included:hypertension 38 cases,27 diabetes mellitus,3 COPD and 3 chronic kidney disease. Results All surgery went well without transfer to mid-sternotomy.LIMA harvest time was 38-53 minutes, mean LIMA flow rate was(22 ± 6) ml/min after anastomosis.Surgery duration was 117-143 minutes, blood loss was less than 100 ml for each operation. No blood transfusion was required.Tracheal intubation time was 4-16 hours,ICU stay time was 22-45 hours, hospital stay time was 6-10 days. There was no peri-operative death, either no myocardial infarction or cerebral vessel accident.During follow-up,all LIMA-LAD appeared to be patent by coronary CT angiography. Conclusion High patency rate of LIMA-LAD anastomosis could also be obtained during MIDCAB surgery. It was reserved as a safe and effective surgery for well-selected patients.

AIM: To study the effect of peppermint oil on GSH、ATPase in rat liver-tissues and primary cultured rat hepatocyte. METHODS: The rat liver tissues were obtained to detect content of GSH and level of Na~+-K~+-ATPase、Ca~(2+)-Mg~(2+)-ATPase after being administered peppermint oil orally at 24 % concentration of peppermint oil in 36 and 48 hours.Primary rat hepatocyte was separated and cultured, then peppermint oil and the serum containing that were respectively added level of LDH,ALT,AST in the supernatant fluid was respectively determined after incubating for 12,24 and 48 hours. RESULTS: The content of GSH and level of Na~+-K~+-ATPase and Ca~(2+)-Mg~(2+)ATPase in liver tissues was low remarkably(P
