OBJECTIVE:To bring the spillover effects of multinational pharmaceutical enterprises'Research&Develop-ment institutions intofull play in China.METHODS:The routes for the exertion of spillover effects and the main restrictive factors of multinational pharmaceutical enterprises were analyzed and some strategies to enhance the spillover effects were put forward.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:The absorbing ability of the domestic pharmaceutical enterprises should be enhanced in China;the flow of the personnel between the multinational enterprises and the domestic pharmaceutical enterprises should be accelerated.We should participate actively in the Research&Development system of multinational pharmaceutical enterprises,reinforce the protection of intellectual property and promote the Research&Development investment of multinational phar-maceutical enterprises in China.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the outsourcing strategy of pharmaceutical enterprises.METHODS:The feasibility and the necessity of carrying out outsourcing strategy in pharmaceutical enterprises were analyzed based on value chain theory;and the current outsourcing strategies carried out in China pharmaceutical enterprises were evaluated.RESULTS&CON?CLUSION:Outsourcing is a feasible choice for our pharmaceutical enterprises,by which their competitive edge can be im?proved effectively.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of re-treatment for cervical lymph node recurrence in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients after radiotherapy and to explore the prognostic factors.Methods:Eighty-two patients who received therapy due to cervical lymph node recurrence after deftnitive radiotherapy were reviewed.The relevant factors including sex.the interval between radiotherapy and recurrence,rN stage,recurrence site,treatment modalities,and treatment efficacy were analyzed.Subgroup analysis was performed to review the relevant factors including the involvement in the adjacent tissues,the number of positive nodes and surgical range.Kaplan-Meier method,Log-rank test and Cox method were used for statistical analysis.Results:The 1-,3-and 5-year local control rates were 58%,39.0%,and 39.0%,respectively.The 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival rates were 82.9%,47.6%.and 25.0%,respectively.The 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival rates in the radiotherapy-based treatment group were 80.8%,37.1%and 19.1%,respectively.The 1-,3-and 5-year overall survival rates in the surgery-based treatment group were 86.7%,66% and 34.2%,respectively.The efficacy of surgery-based treatment was superior to that of radiotherapy-based treatment.In the multivariate analysis,tumor recurrence site was an independent prognostic factor.Conclusion:Radical neck dissection-based treatment can achieve satisfactory efficacy for cervical lymph node recurrence after radiotherapy in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients.

Objective To evaluate the use of ultrasonography befor and after inguinal hernioplasty.Methods In 30 patients, 32 inguinal hernias were submitted to tension-free inguinal hernioplasty,ultrasonography was applied before the surgery and after one mother. Ultrasonography revealed the character of the hernia before the surgery and observed the situation of the mesh after the surgery.Results Diagnostic ultrasound detected 20 inguinal hernias,4 direct hernias, and 3 femoral hernias which were consistent with intraoperative findings. We identified 2 seromas, 1 recurrence of hernia and 1 folding mesh after hernia repair. Conclusion Ultrasonography is a useful examination in preoperative assessing inguinal hernia and demonstrating postoperative complications associated with mesh.

Objective To investigate the intervention effects of NLP workshop on resilience of children from divorced family.Methods A pre/post test and subsequent follow-up design between experimental group and control group were performed.Thirty-one children from divorced family with low resilience were intervened by NLP workshop,while the other thirty-one children with low resilience were chosen as the control group.Results There was no significant difference between experimental group and control group before the intervention on resilience.But after the intervention,the two groups achieved statistical significant difference on resilience(experimental group (3:68±0.37),control group(2.99±0.18),t=9.60,P=0.00).Furthermore,the results of follow-up showed that the effect of NLP workshop still existed after six months (total average score of resilience before intervention (2.96±0.17),subsequent follow-ups (3.69±0.35),t=10.40,P=0.00).Conclusion NLP workshop can enhance the level of resilience of children from divorced family.Effect of NLP workshop not only has short-term effect,but also has some long-term effect.

Circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) is a class of non-coding small RNA molecules.As tumor biomarkers, circulating miRNAs deregulation is associated with the initiation and progression of human cancer.Studies indicate that circulating miRNAs have great potential in the early diagnosis and prognosis of primary or metastatic tumors (colorectal, breast, prostate, hepatocellular and ovarian cancer and other epithelial cancer).

OBJECTIVE: To stereospecifically synthesize disaccharide galactopyranosyl(α1 → 2) glucopyranoside with protecting groups which are easily and selectively deprotected. METHODS: With D-glucose as a raw material, a donor methyl 3, 4, 6-tri-O-benzoyl-β-D-glucopyranoside was synthesized through acetylation, bromination, methylation, deacetylation, benzylidenation, selective benzoylation, chloroacetylation, and dechloroacetylation; the glucopyranosyl acceptor and a donor isopropyl 3-O-allyl-2-O-benzoyl-4, 6-O-benzylidene-β-D-1-thiogalactopyranoside were reacted at catalysis to achieve an α-coupled product. RESULTS: At the catalysis of TMSOTf/NIS, galactopyranosyl donor and glucopyranosyl acceptor were coupled to afford stereospecifically a full protected disaccharide galactopyranosyl(α1 → 2) glucopyranoside fragment, methyl 3-O-allyl-2-O-benzoyl-4, 6-O-benzylidene-α-D-galactopyranosyl(1 → 2)-3, 4, 6-tri-O-benzoyl-β-D-glucopyranoside. All products were characterized with NMR and MS etc. CONCLUSION: A full protected 1, 2-cis disaccharide fragment was stereospecifically obtained through coupling reaction due to concerted effect of the special configurations of the galactopyranosyl donor and the glucopyranosyl acceptor. Objective To observe the effect of a specific T-cell induced by lysate-pulsed human dendrtic cells against pancreatic cancer(PC) cells . Methods Dendritic cells were amplified and purified from peripheral blood of PC patient and were pulsed with tumor cells.Then they were co-cultured with autologus T-cell in vitro and divided into lysate-pulsed DCs group, unplused DCs group, lysates group,and control group. The supernatants of every co-culture group were collected and the concentration of IL-12 and IFN-? were measured by ELISA. The capacity of DC induced proliferation of T-cells was tested.The specific cytolytic activity of CTL was assessed in a 4-hr 51 Cr-release assay. Results Difference in the concentration of IL-12 and IFN-? was statistically significant in lysate-pulsed DCs group(1161?239 pg/ml and 1044?312 pg/ml)than these in unplused DCs group and lysates group (P

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus Chinese herbal medicine in treating allergic rhinitis. Methods One hundred and thirty-five patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly allocated to combination, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine groups, 45 cases each. The combination group received treatment with acupuncture plus Chinese herbal medicine; the acupuncture group, treatment with acupuncture alone; the Chinese herbal medicine group, treatment with Chinese herbal medicine alone. IgE, IL-4, IL-5 and TNF-αlevels and clinical symptom and sign total score were observed in the three groups before and after treatment. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the three groups. Results There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in IL-4, IL-5, TNF-αand IgE levels in the three groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in IL-4, IL-5 and IgE levels between the combination group and the Chinese herbal medicine or acupuncture group (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in clinical symptom and sign total score in the three groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant post-treatment difference in clinical symptom and sign total score between the combination group and the Chinese herbal medicine or acupuncture group (P<0.05). The total efficacy rate was 91.1%in the combination group, 71.1%in the Chinese herbal medicine group and 66.7%in the acupuncture group. There was a statistically significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the combination group and the Chinese herbal medicine or acupuncture group (P<0.05). Conclusions Acupuncture plus Chinese herbal medicine has a better therapeutic effect on allergic rhinitis. It can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms and signs and reduce IgE, IL-4 and IL-5 levels in the patients.

Objective　To evalute long-term effect of combined therapy (radical or palliative resection of carcer and intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion (IPHP) chemotherapy) for advenced garstric cancer (GC) from October 1987 to October 1997 in our haspital. The cases were randomly divided into two groups: IPHP group (37 cases) and control group (34 cases). In IPHP group, before suture the abdomine, heated 5-Fu solution in abdominal cavity should be maintained at 42～43℃ for 60 minutes. Results　After IPHP chemotherapy, 12 patients with cancer cells widespreading in abdominal carity, refractable ascites were disappeared. All the patients were dischargd after IPHP. The 5-year survival rate in IPHP group (51.6%) was significanfly highter than that in control group (32.3%) (P<0.05).
