1.Role of heat shock protein in regulation of JNK and apoptosis
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2001;17(5):477-180
Cell protection from stresses by heat shock protein (HSP) was previously attributed to its ability to prevent aggregation and to accelerate refolding of damaged proteins. It plays an important role in cell survival after extremely harsh protein damaging treatment leading to necrotic cell death. On the other hand, protein repair function of HSP cannot explain how it protects cell from stresses which do not cause direct protein damage. These stresses kill cell through activation of apoptotic program. Recently it has been found that HSP can meditate suppression of a stress-activated protein kinase, JNK, an early component of stress-induced apoptotic signaling pathway. These observations can provide a basis for HSP's function of anti-apoptosis.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(05):-
For the past few years, lumbar sagittal curvature is increasingly recognized as a critical parameter in spine surgery. It has become evident that good clinical outcome in the spine surgery requires proper lumbar sagittal curvature. With the development of recognization of lumbar sagittal curvature, many new ways and views have been found in measure and recovery sagittal alignments. The purpose of this manuscript is to provide a review of the past year's published literature involving lumbar sagittal curvature.
3.Effect of whole body vibration on low extremity functions and chronic diseases in the elderly
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2017;21(8):1288-1293
BACKGROUND: Whole body vibration (WBV) training has gained increased attention at the beginning of 21st century as a sort of exercise. WBV instruments are popularized gradually; in the meanwhile, WBV training has showed its values especially for people who are too feeble to attend conventional exercises, among whom, the elderly accounts a lot.OBJECTIVE: To summarize the effects of WBV training on low extremity functions and chronic diseases in older individuals, and to explore the underlying mechanism, thus providing reference for the study on WBV training.METHODS: Web of Science, PubMed and CNKI databases were searched for the literatures addressing WBV training published between 1998 and 2015 with the subject word of whole body vibration and the keywords of older adult, elderly, seniors, aging in English and Chinese, respectively. The articles related to the lung diseases were excluded. The subjects were more than 60 years old, the low extremity functions included neuromuscular function, balance and walking abilities, and the chronic diseases included stroke, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension and Parkinson disease.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: WBV training is likely to increase muscle strength, body balance and functional mobility. In terms of chronic diseases, WBV training contributes to muscle strength, relieving muscle stiffness, amyostasia, enancing improving some indexes of chronic diseases. WBV training is a safe and feasible exercising way for elderly people scheduled for improving the muscle strength, balance and walking abilities. Considering the existed evidences,WBV cannot replace the conventional therapy to treat chronic diseases in the elderly. Furthermore, a large number of high quality trials should be conducted in the future to clarify its effectiveness and application values.
4.Leptin receptor and its relations with obesity
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(12):-
Leptin receptor plays an important role in the modulation of energy metabolism and lipid equilibrium after binding with Leptin. Leptin receptor locates widely in the human tissues and is closely linked with obesity. This manuscript reviews the structure of leptin receptor gene and its relationship with obesity, and discusses the role of leptin receptor in obesity development and therapy.
5.Establishment of a scoring system for diagnosing diabetic patients with smear-negative pulmonary ;tuberculosis
The Journal of Practical Medicine 2015;(6):922-924
Objective To establish a diagnostic scoring system for diabetic patients with smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis , and then to improve the rapidity and accuracy of clinical diagnosis and save medical expenses. Methods A case-control study was applied. 150 diabetic patients with smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis who on initial treatment were assigned to a study group; 150 patients with lung infection were recruited as a study group. The data on general status, symptoms, chest X-ray manifestation, and laboratory examinations was collected. Univariate logistic regression analysis was used to gain significant indexes for multiple logistic regression analysis. β-coefficients derived from the independent predictors in our logistic regression model was applied to develop a scoring system. Results Toxic symptoms of tuberculosis, cough, upper lung, cavity, multiple lung field , and PPD positive entered into the final multipie logistic regression model , and the scoring system was accordingly established. The patient with a score of more than 11 had higher probability of TB , while those with a score of smaller than 11 were not likely to have TB. Conclusion The scoring system can be used as a predictive tool in diagnosis of diabetes mellitus complicated by smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis , helping diagnose active tuberculosis rapidly.
6.Treatment of Symptomatic Ureteral Calculi during Pregnancy
Journal of China Medical University 2017;46(5):453-456
Objective To present our experience with the management of symptomatic ureteral calculi during pregnancy and to compare the effi?cacy of two treatments:double?J stent insertion and ureteroscopy. Methods In a retrospective study between January 2007 and January 2015,38 pregnant women were treated for symptomatic ureteral calculi in our hospital. The patients were divided into two groups based on whether they re?ceived double?J stent insertion(n=21)or ureteroscopic lithotripsy(n=17). We collected and compared the patients 'characteristics and treat?ment outcomes, such as success ratio, rate of complications, surgical time, medical costs, and hospitalization time. Results In the double?J group, the insertion of a double?J stent was possible for 17 of 21 patients(success rate,81.0%). In the ureteroscopy group,15 of 17 patients had complete calculi fragmentation(success rate,88.2%). Complications in the double?J stent retention group were slightly higher than in the ureteroscopic litho?tripsy group. The medical costs and hospitalization time required to perform ureteroscopic lithotripsy were significantly higher compared to double?J stent insertion. Patients in the double?J group contended with stones after delivery. Conclusion Both of double?J stent insertion and ureteroscopic lithotripsy are effective for the treatment of symptomatic ureteral calculi during pregnancy. The success rate of ureteroscopy ,which can directly dis?rupt stones, was higher. However, double?J stent insertion costs less and is simple and convenient. The technique that is chosen to be performed de?pends on the patient's practical situation and personal preference.

8.The analysis of benzodiazepines and its main metabolites by thin-layer chromatography
Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 1986;0(01):-
Objective A method for the analysis of eleven benzodiazepine in beverages, blood and urine and seven main metabolites of benzodiazepine in urine by solid phase extraction and high performance thin layer chromatography is described in this paper.Method The analytic materials in specimens were extracted by using GDX 101 porous resin as absorbent and diethyl ether as eluant. The extracts were spread out on plates using benzene∶acetone(10∶6) as eluant and were visualized by modified Dragendorffs reagent. Results The absolute sensitivity of the analysis is 0 4 ?g to 0 6 ?g .The limit of detection of benzodiazepines in urine, blood and beverages are 0 4 ?g/ml to 1 0 ?g/ml ,0 6 ?g/ml to 1 0 ?g/ml and 0 4?g/ml to 0 8 ?g/ml respectively. The limits of detection of metabolites of benzodiazepines in urine are 0 4 ?g/ml to 1 0 ?g/ml .Conclusion These results suggested that this method is useful for the detection of benzodiazepines in toxication case.
