OBJECTIVETo investigate the stimulation of Cinnamaldehyde to the pulp tissue and the periapical tissue of rats' teeth, to provide evidence for developing Cinnamaldehyde as a pulp-cap of pulpotomy in primary teeth.
METHODSUsing Cinnamaldehyde as pulp-cap in pulpotomy of rats' teeth, set up Cinnamaldehyde group, formaldehyde cresol formocresol group and blank group. After different treatment according to the empirical procedure, rats were killed in the 4th week and on the 12th week. Then the experiment teeth and the periodontal tissue were made into HE slides and observed using light microscope.
RESULTSThe 4" week, internal absorption, external absorption, and calcification were of no significance among all the groups. Inflammation in blank group was far more severe than that in other two groups (P<0.05), while the latter two were of no significance. The 12th week, internal absorption, external absorption, and inflammation between the former two groups were of no differences, but the indexes were significantly different from them of the blank group (P<0.005). Calcify was not obvious in all the slides.
CONCLUSIONAs a pulp-cap, Cinnamaldehyde stimulates the pulp tissue and the periapical tissue at a very low level. The research provides histopathology rationale for Cinnamaldehyde as pulp-cap of pulpotomy in primary teeth.

To investigate the influence of Anxin granules combined with tirofiban on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) Patients after elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). One hundred and twenty AMI patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The patients in the two groups were all given Tirofiban 30mins before PCI . The treatment group was added Anxin granules 30 mins before and after PCI. Tissue factor (TF) and von willebrand factor (vWF) were tested at 6 hours after operation. Syndromatology alteration of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and bleeding complications were observed at 4 weeks after operation. Both TF and vWF at 6 hours after operation of the treatment group was lower than the control group significantly (P < 0.01), while the condition of myocardial ischemia at 90 mins after operation of the treatment group was better than control group with significance. The syndromatology alteration of TCM especially spontaneous perspiration and hypodynamia of the treatment group were improved significantly compared to control group 4 weeks after operation. All patients in both groups had no bleeding complications and thrombopenia. The study suggests that Anxin granules combined with tirofiba can improve the clinical efficacy and the endothelial function of AMI patients after PCI with no increase in bleeding events.

OBJECTIVETo understand the distribution of marriage status among men who have sex with men (MSM) in the city of Changzhou, and to explore the impact of marriage on AIDS related high risk behaviors and HIV infection in this population.
METHODSTarget sampling (snowball sampling) was adopted to carry out a cross-sectional study, and structured questionnaire-based interviews were conducted to collect information on social demography, HIV related high risk behaviors. Blood and urine samples were collected to detect HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and Chlamydia trachomatis infections.
RESULTSOf the 655 participants, 37.4% were married. Married MSM mostly sought their sexual partners at the public bathing house (61.6%), while unmarried MSM were mainly through bars (33.6%) or internet (31.1%). The proportion of having anal sex with men during the last 6 months was lower in the married group (50.8%) than in the unmarried group (73.3%), (P < 0.001) The percentage of having sex with women in the last 6 months was significantly higher in the married group (68.9%) than that in the unmarried group (33.2%) (P < 0.001), (OR = 4.454, 95%CI: 3.168 - 6.261). The rates of condom use in the last anal sex with men in married and unmarried groups were 71.0% and 77.6%, respectively (P = 0.152). The rate of condom use in the last intercourse with women was significantly lower in the married group (44.0%) than that in the unmarried group (70.4%) (P < 0.001), (OR = 0.331, 95%CI: 0.205 - 0.535). In the sex trade, most of the married MSM would "buy" sex (66.7%), while unmarried MSM would "sell" sex (63.2%) (P < 0.05), (OR = 3.429, 95%CI: 1.255 - 9.366). The percentage of having drugs in the previous year was higher in married group (3.3%) than that in the unmarried group (0.8%) (P < 0.05). In married and unmarried groups, the infection rates of HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea and Chlamydia trachomatis appeared to be (8.6%, 8.6%), (17.1%, 12.3%), (1.6%, 2.4%), and (3.3%, 9.0%), respectively (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONMarriage seemed to have had limited effects on reducing the high risk behaviors of MSM. Different and multiform interventions should be developed according to the different characteristics of married or unmarried MSM population.

Chinese Journal of Health Management 2023;17(11):816-820
Objective:To analyze the accuracy of a single-lead electrocardiogram (iECG) algorithm based on intelligent wristwatch in identifying sinus tachycardia and atrial fibrillation (AF) with rapid ventricular rate. Methods:In this non-randomized control trial, 642 patients aged ≥18 years were enrolled in the General Hospital of Chinese PLA between December 15, 2020 and May 30, 2022, with sinus tachycardia or rapid ventricular rate of AF (ranging from 111 to 145 beats/min for sinus tachycardia, from 110 to 150 beats/min for rapid ventricular rate of AF, respectively). The patients wore Huawei Watch GT2 Pro smartwatches on their left wrists, and the physiological signals detected by the smartwatches in a relaxed state were used as the measured data. The iECG algorithm developed by Huawei was used for identification. Simultaneously, 12-lead electrocardiograms (12L-ECG) were performed, and two cardiologists served as the gold standard for interpretation. Three participants who did not meet the inclusion criteria were excluded based on the detection results, and a total of 639 participants were included in the study. The accuracy of the algorithm in identifying sinus tachycardia and rapid ventricular rate AF was evaluated using metrics such as recall rate, precision rate, macro F1 score for multi-class classification. Results:Among 639 subjects, there were 469 males and 170 females. There were 389 cases of sinus tachycardia and 250 cases of rapid ventricular rate AF, with a mean age of (46.53±13.32) years. The recall rate, precision rate, and F1 value of iECG algorithm in identifying sinus tachycardia was 98.7%, 99.2% and 99.0%, respectively, while it was 98.8%, 98.0% and 98.4%, respectively for AF with rapid ventricular rate. The macro F1 of AF with rapid ventricular rate and sinus tachycardia was 98.7%. The iECG based on the intelligent wristwatch showed good consistency with the corresponding 12L-ECG waveforms. Conclusion:The intelligent wristwatch-based iECG algorithm can effectively identify sinus tachycardia and rapid ventricular rate AF, demonstrating good accuracy.

OBJECTIVETo construct a MYH9 gene knockout model in MGC803 cell line using transcription activator-like effector nuclease (TALEN) and observe its effect on cell cycle and apoptosis.
METHODSAccording to FastTALE(TM) TALEN Kit, we designed TALEN pairs and constructed the plasmids targeting to MYH9 gene. After detecting their activity in MGC803 cells by plasmid transfection, DNA sequencing, RT-PCR and western blot, we selected the monoclonal cells and studied the changes in the cell cycle and apoptosis.
RESULTSMYH9 gene could not be knocked out but knocked down in selected MGC803 monoclonal cells, which caused cell cycle arrested at G2/M phase (P<0.05) and a significant increase in the cell number with early apoptosis (P<0.01).
CONCLUSIONWe successfully generated a MYH9 knockdown model in MGC803 cell lines by TALEN, which could be in favor of MYH9 function study in gastric cancer.

Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2021;53(5):877-882
OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the relationship between postoperative knee function and the sagittal position of tibial component in unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA).
METHODS:
We retrospectively enrolled the patients who underwent UKA from January 2016 to May 2020. They were assigned into 2 groups according to postoperative posterior tibial slope (PTS): the normal PTS group (PTS≥3° and PTS < 8°) and the abnormal PTS group (PTS < 3° or ≥8°). The patients were followed up for at least 12 months. The postoperative Knee Society Clinical Score (KSS-C), Knee Society Functional Score (KSS-F) and knee range of motion (ROM) were compared between the two groups.
RESULTS:
A total of 72 patients (82 knees) were included with 51 patients (58 knees) in PTS normal group and 21 patients (24 knees) in PTS abnormal group. All the patients were followed up with median of 23.6 months. There was no significant difference in the general data [gender, age, body mass index (BMI)], pre-operative knee range of motion, preoperative KSS-C score and KSS-F score (P > 0.01). The KSS-C score, KSS-F score, and knee range of motion significantly improved after surgery (P < 0.01) for all the patients. The postoperative KSS-C score in normal PTS group (88.76±2.79) was significantly higher than the KSS-C score in abnormal PTS group (84.42±3.35, P < 0.01), but no significant difference between the 2 groups was observed in postoperative KSS-F score and knee range of motion (P > 0.01). In addition, there was no correlation between the change of PTS and postoperative KSS-C score (r=-0.034, 95%CI: -0.247 to 0.186, P = 0.759), KSS-F score (r = -0.014, 95%CI: -0.238 to 0.198, P = 0.901) and knee range of motion (r= 0.045, 95%CI: -0.214 to 0.302, P = 0.686).
CONCLUSION
The posterior tibial slope between 3° and < 8° can be recommended to improve knee joint function in mobile UKA, and excessive or insufficient PTS should be avoided.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2023;40(6):1102-1107
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia. Early diagnosis and effective management are important to reduce atrial fibrillation-related adverse events. Photoplethysmography (PPG) is often used to assist wearables for continuous electrocardiograph monitoring, which shows its unique value. The development of PPG has provided an innovative solution to AF management. Serial studies of mobile health technology for improving screening and optimized integrated care in atrial fibrillation have explored the application of PPG in screening, diagnosing, early warning, and integrated management in patients with AF. This review summarizes the latest progress of PPG analysis based on artificial intelligence technology and mobile health in AF field in recent years, as well as the limitations of current research and the focus of future research.
