Marjolin is ulcer may be defined briefly as a cancer arising in a bum scar. A 41-year-old female had a Marjolin is ulcer(12x10x3cm) on her right lower leg. This ulcerated tumor has been present for two and half months and the induction period sinnc her bum was 29 years. The pathologic diagn.osis was squamous cell carcinoma, grade 2. Roentgenograms of her right lower leg revealed several soft tissue masses densities which, in part, horizontally connected with the periosteum of the tibia. So she was treated by above-knee amputation with dissection of several, unenlarged inguinal nodes which showed no evidence of metastases. She developed large, single, fixed metastatic node in right inguinal area one month after amputation and dissection was done.

Stereotactic radiosurgery, including gamma knife radiosurgery (GKS), can in rare cases result in
de novo cavernous malformations (CMs). Here, we present a case of de novo CM induced by GKS
following treatment of a cerebellar arteriovenous malformation (AVM). A 48-year-old woman was
diagnosed with left unilateral Moyamoya disease. Conventional cerebral angiography also revealed an
AVM in the left cerebellum. The patient underwent GKS using a 50% isodose of 15 Gy at the margin
of the left cerebellar AVM. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) taken 3 years after GKS revealed
small chronic hemorrhages with perilesional edema in the left cerebellum. Five years later, the lesions
became aggravated, but were asymptomatic. Eight years following GKS, the patient was admitted
complaining of headache and dizziness. Brain MRI revealed a 1.3cm hemosiderin deposit with an
inner hyperintense nodular portion that was enhanced in the left cerebellum. An open craniotomy was
performed and the mass was removed, from which pathological findings were compatible with those
for CM. The patient recovered to the prehemorrhagic state. This case shows that De novo CMs can
rarely develop after radiosurgery. Most CMs have been reported to develop following radiosurgery
for brain tumors. As shown in this patient, CMs can also develop after radiosurgery for cerebellar
AVM in adults.

This study was performed to investigate clinical and histopathologic features of steroid acne, which was induced by systemic administration and topical application of corticosteroids. Thirty five cases of steroid acne visited to Department of Dermatology, Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital from September, 1g79 to June, 1984 were analyzed, and the results obtained can be summarized as follows: 1. The peak age of the subjects was third decade(42.9%) with an average age of 30. 1 years, and male to female ratio was l.9: 1,2. The skin lesions had unique clinical features that showed many, uniform sized, erythematous papules and pust;ules. 3 The predilection sites of steroid acne induced by systemic steroid therapy were anterior chest(93.1%), back(44,8%), neck(31.0%), shoulder(31.0%) and face (20.7%) 4 Among thirty five cases of steroid acne, twenty cases were induced by parenteral adrninistration of dexamethasone disodium phosphate(group A), nine cases by oral administration of prednisolone(group B), and six cases by topical application of three kinds of steroid creams(group C). 5. The mean induction time after starting steroid in group A(ll. 3 days) was shorter than those in group B and C(18.9 days and l4.8 days respective)y). The mean total dosage of used steroid in group A was 191. 3mg of dexamethasone disodium phosphate and that in group B was 515. 7mg of prednisolone. On histopathologic findings of twenty two skin biopsy specimens of the three groups, perivascular inflammatory reaction was the most common finding followed by intra-and peri-follicular inflammatory reaction, dermal vascular dilatation, necrosis of follicular epithelium, comedo, intraand periollicular abscess and rupture of follicle.

8.Frey' s Syndrome in a Child without Definite Causes.

Freys syndrome is characterized by attacks of facial erythema and gustatory sweating occurring in the cutaneous distribution of the auriculotemporal nerve. After sugery, trauma, abscess, or other diseases of the parotid gland, the postganglionic sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve fibers are disrupted. Some misdirected auriculotemporal nerve fibrils join with the distal sympathetic nerves innervating the sweat glands and subcutaneous vessels. We report a case of Freys sindrome in a 6-year old boy without any definite injury to the parotid gland. After considering our case and review of literature of Freys syndrome in children, we conclude that there may be a congenital defect in the auriculotemporal nerve innervation responsible for cases occuring in children.

9.A Study of a Molecular Variant of Angiotensinogen Associated with Korean Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension.

Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 1997;40(1):66-70
Pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH) is one of the major causes of maternal, fetal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Although many causes are encountered, etiology of PIH is still unknown. A molecular variant of angiotensinogen, M235T, reported to be linked with essential hypertension and PIH. This study was to evaluate the molecular variation of angiotensinogen in Korean pregnancy-induced hypertension. Our results did not provide any definite relation with the molecular variant of angiotensinase, M235T, and Korean PIH.
