1.Pyelocaliceal Diverticulum.
Korean Journal of Urology 1978;19(5):441-450
Pyelocaliceal diverticulum is a well recognized uncommon entity, usually noted incidentally on excretory urography by lack of clinical symptoms, About 500 cases had been reported with similar entity till 1975. We report 6 cases of stone-containing pyelocaliceal diverticula and additional one case and the literature has been reviewed briefly.

2.Acute Corrosive Esophago-Gastritis: A Case of Drain-cleansing Liquid-induced Transmural Inflammation.

Korean Journal of Pathology 1990;24(3):294-298
The pathologic features of acute corrosive esophago-gastritis by ingestion of "Trapunc", a common commercial drain cleansing liquid, is presented. A 37-year-old woman ingested abut 30 ml of Trapunc (3 gm NaOH/100 ml) to commit suicide and received piecemeal esophagectomy and total gastrectomy 9 days after the episode. The esophagus and stomach were extremely friable and necrotic. The most part of the stomach showed acute toxic necrotizing gastritis which was manifested by extensive greenish brown discoloration due to liquefaction necrosis of the mucosa except for a few rugae along the greater curvature. The antrum and distal body revealed severe mucosal detachment and even transmural necrosis. The tissue reaction was basically the same as those of NaOH-induced corrosive esophago-gastritis of acute stage, although it appeared to be severer probably due to sodium hypochlorite, and additive constituent of the ingested cleanser. A unique distribution pattenr of mucosal involvement is discussed.

Korean Journal of Urology 1976;17(2):141-144
Pararenal pseudocyst is a collection of fluid within the renal fascia outside the renal capsule and a relatively rare clinical entity which commonly occur as a result of trauma. either accidental or operative. Histologically, the wall is composed mostly of dense collagenous fibrous connective tissue. with no cellular elements capable of cyst formation. A case of pararenal pseudocyst associated with renal hypertension developed in 6 year-old boy after blunt abdominal trauma was reported.

Korean Journal of Urology 1976;17(2):133-135
Cavernous hemangioma of the bladder is the rarest of all bladder tumors. Less than 75 cases were reported in the literatures since Broca reported the first case in 1869. We report a case of cavernous hemangioma of the bladder in a 7-year-old girl and literatures were reviewed.

7.Clinical Evaluation of the Transurethral Electrofulguration on Female Urethritis.
Korean Journal of Urology 1977;18(3):259-267
During the period from October 1, 1973 to September 31, 1976, 227 cases of female urethritis, confirmed by endoscopy, classified four groups by endoscopic findings and studied clinically according to groups respectively. And also the effects of the transurethral electrofulguration on the female urethritis (Groups III and IV) were evaluated. The following results were obtained. 1) The endoscopic classifications were as follows. Group I: Almost normal urethra and bladder neck or with very mild mucosal changes, 13 cases. Group II: Mild granular hyperemia of the urethral mucosa with almost normal bladder neck, 55 cases. Group III: Marked bullous and granular hyperemia of the urethral mucosa and mild bullous bladder neck with a few pseudopolyps, 86 cases. Group IV: Marked bullous and granular hyperemia of the urethra and marked bullous bladder neck with many pseudopolyps, 73 cases. 2) Of 227 cases, 79 (34.8%) were observed most frequently in the groups of 31~40 years of age. 3) Common urinary symptoms were frequency 69.2%, tenesmus 61.7%, urgency 26%, dysuria 14.5%, painful urination 14.5%, small urinary stream 11.0%, hesitancy 10.5%, terminal hematuria 9.7%. Terminal hematuria was more commonly observed in Groups III and IV rather than Groups I and II. Non-urinary symptoms were suprapubic discomfort 33.5%, lumbago 20.3%, headache 9.3%, general weakness 7.5%. 4) Of 227 cases, 147 (64.8%) were normal urinalysis (Albumin (-), Sugar (-), below 5 WBC/HPF AND 3 RBC/HPF) and 187 (82.4%) were bacteriologically negative on Gram's stain. 5) On cystoscopy, the most frequently observable bladder change was trabeculation (More than 60% in all Gruops) In almost all cases of the bladder trabeculation, there were always mederate or remarkable changes in the urethral and in the bladder neck. 6) 23 out of 159 cases in Group III and IV, were treated with transurethral electrofulgulation, urethral instillation, urethral dilation, if necessary. Of 23 cases, 22 (more than 95%) were completely cured or improved. But in Groups III and IV cases, treated with only conservative method, failure rates of the treatment were 25.7%, 22.2% respectively.

Korean Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 1999;42(10):2362-2367
An isolated granulocytic sarcoma (chloroma) of the left ovary occured in the absence of leukemia in a 12-year-old woman. This lesion is defined as a localized tumor mass composed of immature cells of the granulocytic series. Granulocytic sarcomas can occur at extramedullary sites including ovary but, isolated myelosarcoma in the absence of usual manifestations of AML may be rare and has some difficulties in diagnosis. Contrary to findings in other series, granulocytic sarcoma arising in this nonleukemic patient did not progress to acute leukemia during two years she has been followed.

Journal of the Korean Society of Medical Ultrasound 2011;30(1):19-21
Proliferating trichilemmal tumor is a rare benign tumor of skin appendage. It is usually solitary, more common in women after the fourth decade of life, and almost exclusively confined to the scalp and back of the neck. We report herein an unusual case of proliferating trchilemmal tumor which occurred on the knee.
