Tumor 2013;33(9):786-794
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of chemotherapy alone or combined with multitargeted antiangiogenic TKI (tyrosine kinase inhibitor) for patients with advanced NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer). Methods: A computer-based online search was performed by using EMBASE, Cochrane Library, PubMed, CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), Wanfang and VIP databases and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database. Studies of RCT (randomized controlled trial) in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included. Quality of the studies was assessed using Jadad score. Data were extracted from the studies by 2 independent reviewers. The Meta-analysis was performed by Stata 12.0 software. Results: Nine RCTs (totally 5 286 patients) were eligible. Meta-analysis showed that there was significant improvement in ORR (objective response rate) [OR (odds ratio): 1.51, 95% CI (confidence interval): 1.21-1.87, P = 0.000] and PFS (progression-free survival) [HR (hazard ratio): 0.83, 95% CI: 0.77-0.88, P = 0.000) in multitargeted antiangiogenic TKI plus chemotherapy group, as compared with chemotherapy along group. Though the pooled HR (HR = 0.94, 95% CI: 0.87-1.01, P = 0.081) for OS (overall survival) showed no significant difference between the two groups. However, there were higher rates of diarrhea (OR: 2.09, 95% CI: 1.48-2.96, P = 0.000), rash (OR: 2.30, 95% CI: 1.59-3.29, P = 0.000), hypertension (OR: 3.30, 95% CI: 2.69-4.06, P = 0.000), hemorrhage (OR: 1.49, 95% CI: 1.07-2.06, P = 0.018), anorexia (OR: 1.45, P = 1.01-2.07, P = 0.042), stomatitis (OR: 2.13, 95% CI: 1.29-3.52, P = 0.003) and hand-foot skin reaction (OR: 4.55, 95% CI: 1.77-11.71, P = 0.002). Conclusion: In comparison with chemotherapy alone, multitargeted antiangiogenic TKI plus chemotherapy had better therapeutic effects on NSCLC. Meanwhile, it also increases the rates of adverse effects such as diarrhea, rash, hypertension, hemorrhage, anorexia, stomatitis and hand-foot skin reaction, which should be prevented and symptomatically treated. Objective To understand the trend and epidemiologic characteristics of malaria prevalence so as to provide the evidence for further control of the disease in Liaoning Province. Methods The data of registered cases of malaria in Liaoning Province from 2008 to 2013 were collected and analyzed with the descriptive epidemiological methods. Results A total of 202 ma-laria cases were reported from 2008 to 2013. There was no epidemic outbreak ,and the average annual incidence was 0.08/100 000. Totally 17 P. v. cases of local infection were reported, and 185 imported malaria cases were reported(P.v. 33 cases,P.f. 113 cases,P.v.&P.f. 13 cases,P.o. 3 cases, and unspecified 23 cases). The ratio of male to female was 5.91:1,the populations aged 31-45 years were the most(47.52%),and the main occupation was exported labors(46.04%). The 179 imported cases were infected in Africa and Southeast Asia,6 imported cases were infected in Anhui Province,Yunnan Province and Hongkong, and 16 local cases were infected in the border area of Dandong City. Conclusions Although the annual incidence of malaria in Liaon-ing Province is lower than 1/10 000,the incidence shows an increasing trend because the exported labors are increased. There-fore,the epidemic monitoring and health education should be strengthened, especially for the exported labors who have returned.

A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for the selective solid phase extraction of imidacloprid, imidaclothiz, thiacloprid was synthesized by polymerization for 24 h using thiacloprid as template. Dynamic adsorption and selective adsorption test showed that the MIP could quickly adsorb the imidacloprid, imidaclothiz, thiacloprid, with good selectivity for targets. The maximum static adsorption capacity of MIP was 31. 7, 36. 7 and 45. 3 mg / g, respectively. A molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction (MIP-SPE) was developed to separate, clean up and enrich the thiacloprid, imidacloprid and imidaclothiz residue in paddy water, soil, rice, tomato, cucumber. The average recoveries were 80. 2% -98. 8% , with relative standard deviation of 1. 4% -4. 5% . The MIP-SPE was used to analyses the real samples, the result was satisfied.

Objective To demonstrate the effect of tumor necrosis factor-α induced protein 8 like-2 (TIPE2) expression in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its mechanism. Methods A prospective observation was conducted. Thirty-nine patients with ARDS admitted to department of emergency of PLA General Hospital from July 2013 to July 2015 were enrolled, and 35 healthy persons served as control group. The acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) score within 24 hours after admission, blood gas analysis, procalcitonin (PCT), and C-reactive protein (CRP) were recorded. The mRNA expressions of TIPE2 in peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) and myxoma resistance protein 1 (MX1) in plasma were determined by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The correlations were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation analysis. Results The mean of APACHE Ⅱ score in 39 patients with ARDS was 25±3, the mean of PCT was (1.85±0.41) μg/L, and the mean of CRP was (18.0±3.0) mg/L. The TIPE2 mRNA expression in PBMC of ARDS patients was significantly down-regulated as compared with that of healthy control group (2-ΔΔCt: 3.28±0.15 vs. 8.87±0.20, P < 0.001), and the MX-1 mRNA expression in plasma was significantly higher than that of healthy control group (2-ΔΔCt: 39.44±0.46 vs. 20.10±0.32, P < 0.001). It was shown by correlation analysis results that the TIPE2 mRNA expression was negatively correlated with MX1 mRNA expression (r = -0.630, P < 0.001), so as APACHE Ⅱ score (r = -0.781, P < 0.001), but no correlation was found between TIPE2 mRNA and PCT as well as CRP (r value was 0.143 and 0.330, respectively, both P > 0.05). The MX1 mRNA expression was positively correlated with APACHE Ⅱ score (r = 0.893, P < 0.001), but no correlation was found between MX1 mRNA and PCT as well as CRP (r value was 0.230 and 0.210, respectively, both P > 0.05). Conclusion TIPE2 expression was decreased in ARDS patients, which negatively correlate with disease severity, and indicate TIPE2 might be involved in the pathogenic process of ARDS.
