AIM: To observe the effects of sodium restricted or supplemented on atrial natriuretic polypeptide (ANP) and cardiac function of rats with congestive heart failure (CHF).METHODS: CHF rats were divided into three groups with sham operation rats group as control. Radioimmunassay was used to determine the ANP contents of plasma and myocardium, at the same time cardiac function was measured.RESULTS: In sodium restricted group, the plasma sodium and atrial ANP and left ventricular systolic pressure and artery pressure were obviously lower than those in CHF group, while the plasma and ventricular ANP and the right atrial pressure were remarkably higher; In sodium supplemented group, the plasma sodium and arterial pressure had no obvious change compared with the control, the plasma and myocardium ANP and the right atrial pressure had no difference as compared with CHF group, while the left ventricular end diastolic pressure was remarkably lower and the left ventricular systolic pressure were obviously higher. CONCLUSION: Keeping the balance of plasma sodium by an appropriate supplement of sodium intake after CHF might be beneficial to the ANP biological effects and the cardiac function.
3.Stress induced expression of the angiotensinogen gene in rat anterior pituitary

AIM: To investigate the expression of angiotensinogen (ANG)mRNA and the changes of AngⅡ content in rat anterior pituitary during acute stress.METHODS: The expression of ANG mRNA was determined using in situ hybridization technique, and the AngⅡ content were determined by RIA.RESULTS: The ANG mRNA expression and AngⅡ content were significantly increased, and ANG mRNA was increased more significantly than AngⅡ content. CONCLUSION: The local renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in anterior pituitary is obviously activated during stress, which strongly supports the view that local RAS contributes to stress reaction.
4.Effect of the infusion management system on the nursing risk factors in ICU

Objective To explore the application of the infusion management system in ICU and its effect on the major nursing risk factors .Methods One hundred and five patients with top ten diseases in ICU from March 2013 to December 2013 were chosen and were randomly divided into the control group ( n=50 ) and the observation group ( n =55 ) .The control group received the management of liquid therapy through the monomer infusion pump , and the observation group received the management of liquid therapy through B .Braun infusion therapy system .The average time of liquid therapy , the rate of unplanned extubation , the error rate of vasoactive drugs and the nurses ’ satisfaction of two groups were observed .Results The average time of liquid therapy, the rate of unplanned extubation , the error rate of vasoactive drugs and the nurses ’ satisfaction were respectively (65.3 ±21.4)h, 7.3%, 7.3%, 92.7%in the observation group, and were better than (99.4 ± 27.8)h, 16.0%, 14.0%, 56.0% in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (t/χ2 =2.63, 7.25, 5.38, 8.68, respectively;P<0.05).Conclusions Application of B.Braun infusion therapy system in ICU can reduce the workload of nurses , and decrease the rate of unplanned extubation and the error rate of vasoactive drugs in patients , and increase the nurses ’ satisfaction.
5.Study on the expression of ABCA1,PPAR,SREBP,ADPN and LXR α in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To investigate the value of the expression of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1),peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ(PPARγ) and sterol regulato-ry element binding protein (SREBP),adiponectin (ADPN) and liver X recepto α(LXRα) in type 2 diabetic pa-tients.Methods 71 patients with type 2 diabetes received in the hospital from June 2015 to June 2017 were se-lected as the observation group,and 60 healthy persons who underwent the health assessment from June 2015 to June 2017 were selected as the control group.Peripheral venous blood was collected from patients with an empty stomach in the morning,serum was isolated and serum human ADPN content were measured by radio-immunoassay.The levels of serum ABCA1,PPAR γ,SREBP and LXR α were measured by Enzyme linked im-munosorbent assay.Results The serum levels of ABCA1 and ADPN in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,while serum PPARγ SREBP and LXRα levels were higher than those in the control group (P< 0.05);the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of ABCA 1+ PPARγ+ SREBP+ ADPN + LXRα were higher than those of single detection of ABCA1,PPARγ,SREBP,ADPN and LXRα.Conclusion The levels of ABCA1 and ADPN decreased in patients with type 2 diabetes,while the levels of PPAR γ,SREBP and LXR α was increased.The five joint diagnosis of ABCA1+ PPAR γ+SREBP+ADPN+LXR α has high sensitivity and specificity.It was of important clinical value and worth further application.

Objective To monitor the antifungal resistance of clinical isolates of Candida spp.in the East China region.Methods MALDI-TOF MS or molecular methods were used to re-identify the strains collected from January 2018 to December 2022.Antifungal susceptibility testing was performed using the broth microdilution method.The susceptibility test results were interpreted according to the breakpoints of 2022 Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI)documents M27 M44s-Ed3 and M57s-Ed4.Results A total of 3 026 strains of Candida were collected,65.33%of which were isolated from sterile body sites,mainly from blood(38.86%)and pleural effusion/ascites(10.21%).The predominant species of Candida were Candida albicans(44.51%),followed by Candida parapsilosis complex(19.46%),Candida tropicalis(13.98%),Candida glabrata(10.34%),and other Candida species(0.79%).Candida albicans showed overall high susceptibility rates to the 10 antifungal drugs tested(the lowest rate being 93.62%).Only 2.97%of the strains showed dose-dependent susceptibility(SDD)to fluconazole.Candida parapsilosis complex had a SDD rate of 2.61%and a resistance rate of 9.42%to fluconazole,and susceptibility rates above 90%to other drugs.Candida glabrata had a SDD rate of 92.01%and a resistance rate of 7.99%to fluconazole,resistance rates of 32.27%and 48.24%to posaconazole and voriconazole non-wild-type strains(NWT),respectively,and susceptibility rates above 90%to other drugs.Candida tropicalis had resistance rates of 29.55%and 26.24%to fluconazole and voriconazole,respectively,resistance rates of 76.60%and 21.99%to posaconazole and echinocandins non-wild-type strains(NWT),and a resistance rate of 2.36%to echinocandins.Conclusions The prevalence and species distribution of Candida spp.in the East China region are consistent with previous domestic and international reports.Candida glabrata exhibits certain degree of resistance to fluconazole,while Candida tropicalis demonstrates higher resistance to triazole drugs.Additionally,echinocandins resistance has emerged in Candida albicans,Candida glabrata,Candida tropicalis,and Candida parapsilosis.
