Objective To explore the application effects of health awareness management in outpatients with hypertension. Methods A total of 200 primary hypertension patients were divided into observation group (100 cases, routine health education for outpatients with hypertension and health awareness management) and control group ( 100 cases, routine health education for outpatients with hypertension ) according to random number table. Before and 3 months after management, we compared patients′ energy consumption, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, waistline, serum total cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol ( HDL-C ) , low density lipoprotein cholesterol ( LDL-C ) . Patients′ life quality was investigated by general quality of life inventory ( GQOLI-74 ) . Results After the implementation of health awareness management, improvements of BMI, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, TC, TG, LDL-C in the observation group were better than those in the control group with significant differences ( t=1. 974, 3. 479, 3.962, 6. 973, 6.025, 8. 249; P < 0. 05). Three months after the implementation of health awareness management, the total exercise volume, effective exercise and quality of life ( physical function, material life condition, psychological function, social function ) were significantly improved in the observation group with significant differences (t=3. 684, 2. 246, 6. 032, 4. 479, 5. 638, 5. 916; P<0. 05). Conclusions Health awareness management can increase the amount of exercise in hypertension patients, reduce the blood pressure, improve the patients′lipid metabolism and quality of life. In conclusion, it is an effective means of prevention and control of hypertension.
