[Objective] To study the clinical curative effect in treating 48 cases who suffered diabetes merging cerebral infarction with combined traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.[Method]89 cases of enrolled patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine group(48 cases group) and western medicine group(41 cases group).The 48 cases group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine,while the 41 cases group was only treated with western medicine.The total curative rate was observed in both groups.[Result]The total curative rates were 89.58% and 68.29% in traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine group and western medicine group respectively.The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine group was superior to that of western medicine group (P

ObjectiveTo explore the effects of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt)/nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) signal pathway on the process of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) facilitating cell proliferation and invasion in human epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods Ovarian cancer cell lines SKOV3 and 3AO were cultured to exponential phase,then assigned to control group,FSH group,LY294002 group and FSH + LY294002 group,respectively.Cells were treated with different concentration of FSH and LY294002,respectively.The effects of FSH on cell proliferation were observed by methylthiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT).Morphological changes were observed by phase contrast microscope.The ability of cell invasion was investigated by transwell invasion assay.The expression of FSH receptor (FSHR),Akt1/2,phosphorylated-Akt (p-Akt) and NF-κB p65 protein were detected by western blot.Results( 1 ) FSH could promote the proliferation of SKOV3 and 3AO cells.When the cells were treated with 40 U/L FSH for 48 hours (SKOV3) and 24 hours (3AO),compared with those in control groups,they reached the highest proliferation rate (P ＜ 0.05 ),respectively.(2) The morphology of SKOV3 and 3AO cells in four groups:in control group,SKOV3 cells were short spindle and 3AO cells were long spindle,the nuclei of them were both roundness or oval,the cytoplasm were bright.In FSH group,the cells changed to slightly longer or polygonal,they were full in shape,meanwhile,the cell intensity were higher than control group.In LY294002 group,some cells changed from spindle to round,and began to shrink.The cell intensity diminished.The morphology of FSH + LY294002 group was similar with control group,but the cell intensity was lower than that in FSH group.(3)The number of SKOV3 cell that passed through the membrane in control group,FSH group,LY294002 group and FSH + LY294002 group was (26 ± 6),( 118 ± 19),( 18 ± 5) and ( 38 ± 7 ),respectively.The number of 3AO cell was ( 19 ± 4 ),( 134 ± 20),(12 ±3) and (58 ± 11 ),respectively.The results showed that the number of cells in FSH group was significantly higher than that in control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ),while the number of cell in FSH + LY294002 group was significantly fewer than that in FSH group (P ＜ 0.05 ).(4) There was no significant difference in the expression of FSHR and Akt1/2 between FSH group and control group (P ＞ 0.05 ),but FSH increased the expression of p-Akt and the ratio of NF-κB p65 in the nucleus versus cytoplasm in SKOV3 and 3AO cells,there were significant differences compared with control group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).LY294002 reversed the effects of FSH on increasing the expression of p-Akt and the ratio of NF-κB p65 in the nucleus versus cytoplasm,there were significant differences among LY294002 group,FSH + LY294002 group and FSH group (P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionThe effects of FSH on proliferation and invasion of ovarian cancer cell lines SKOV3 and 3AO may be realized by regulating the activity of NF-κB in PI3K/Akt signal pathway.

Objective To develop a new method of immune isolation for transplanting pig islets to rat to observe the effects on diabetic rats.Method Diabetes of rat was induced by streptozotocin.Pancreas of pig was digested with type V collagenase.The pig islets were purified by density gradient centrifugation.Insulin stimulation index of the purified pig islets was evaluated.Liver of the 18 diabetic rats and 6 normal rats was exposed by operation.Capsule at one edge of the liver lobe was cut apart and separated from liver parenchyma on both sides of the lobe.An artificial cyst was constructed by a cellulose ester (CE) dialysis bag with a ball of hollow fibers in the bag,and each end of the bag was closed by a thread.Each end of the bag was stuffed into the subcapsule of each side of the liver lobe.The thread at each end of the bag was passed through a hole of the capsule at other edge of the lobe and linked to each other around the lobe to hold the artificial cyst on the liver parenchyma.Middle part of the cyst (with the ball of hollow fibers in) was put between the cuts of capsule and under the skin.The collagen solution (pH 7.4) with pig islets (4000 IEQ) was injected into the subcapsule artificial cyst of 12 diabetic rats as experiment group.The collagen solution without pig islets was injected into the subcapsule artificial cyst of 6 diabetic rats and 6 normal rats as diabetes control group and normal control group respectively.The cut was sutured.The collagen solution became a collagen gel in the artificial cysts.At 8th week of the initial transplantation,the solution with pig islets (2000 IEQ) was injected percutaneously again into the subcapsule artificial cyst of each rat of the experiment group.Rats of the three groups were raised as usual,and the levels of fasting blood glucose were measured regularly.Result The insulin stimulation index of the purified pig islets was 2.2 ± 0.2.At 1st to 8th week of the initial transplantation,the levels of fasting blood glucose in the experiment group at every time point were lower significantly than those in the diabetes control group (P＜0.01).At 13th week of the initial transplantation,there was no significant fibroplasia around the subcasule artificial cysts in the rats by visual observation.Conclusion CE dialysis bag in the liver capsule at 13th week did not show significant stimulation to the surrounding tissues.Pig islets isolated in the subcapsule artificial cyst of rats might live normally and perform hypoglycemic action.Pig islets could be percutaneously injected into the subcapsule artificial cyst.

Objective To analyze the double contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (DCUS) features of periamupullary carcinoma for enhancing the ultrasound diagnostic value of the disease.Methods The DCUS and clinical data of 40 patients with periampullary carcinoma confirmed by histopathology were reviewed.Results (1) The displaying rate of the lesions and the judgment of lesion location was statistically higher on DCUS than that of ordinary ultrasound (P ＜ 0.05).(2) DCUS features of periampullary carcinoma:the size of most lesions was less than 30 mm except for 1 case in which no lesion was found; In 100％ (39/39) of the lesions,the morphology did not change with duodenum movement ; In 64.1％ (25/39) of lesions hyperenhancement or isoenhancement was displayed in the arterial phase,with low enhancement in the venous phase; In 87.2％ (34/39) of lesions homogeneous enhancement was displayed; In 95％ (38/40) the bile ducts were moderately or severely dilated.The lesion locations and whether the lesions projected into the duodenal cavity or not were statistically different between the three different types of periampullary carcinoma (P ＜ 0.05).The lesions projected into the duodenal cavity of duodenum were more commonly seen in papillary carcinoma and ampullary carcinoma than distal common bile duct carcinoma.The lesion size,whether the lesion morphology changed or not with duodenum movement,enhancement level,enhancement homogeneity,the degree of bile duct dilatation,whether there was pancreatic duct dilatation or not were not statistically different between the three different types of periampullay carcinoma (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions DCUS is an effective way to show periampullay carcinoma,and is helpful to diagnose periampullary carcinoma and distinguish the three different types of periampullary carcinoma.

Objective To study the association of body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) with dyslipidemia and the risk of dyslipidemia at different BMI and WC level among adults in Suzhou Industrial Park District. Methods A total of 6219 participants were chosen by stratified random cluster sampling method. Four streets were selected form the district first, then one community as a cluster was selected randomly from each street. Questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory tests were done by all subjects. Results The prevalence of dyslipidemia was 35.9％;the rates of overweight, obesity and central obesity were 36.6％, 9.6％ and 49.5％ respectively. The prevalence of dyslipidemia in underweight group, normal weight group, overweight group and obesity group were 13.6％, 30.2％, 47.7％and 59.0％ for male, and 17.2％, 27.3％, 38.6％和 48.8％ for female respectively. The prevalence of dyslipidemia for male and female both rose with BMI (χ2=139.848, P<0.001; χ2=92.387, P<0.001). The prevalence of dyslipidemia in the high waist circumference group and normal group were 50.2％and 30.9％for male, and 40.8％and 23.8％for female respectively. Prevalence of groups with high waist circumference for male and female were significantly higher than normal groups (χ2=108.669, P<0.001; χ2=110.642, P<0.001). Pearson correlation analysis showed that total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride(TG), and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were positively correlated with BMI ( r=0.153, P<0.001;r=0.227, P<0.001;r=0.192, P<0.001), and were also positively correlated with WC(r=0.138, P<0.001; r=0.234, P<0.001; r=0.159, P<0.001). High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) was negatively correlated with BMI (r=-0.189, P<0.001) and WC (r=-0.185, P<0.001). Logistic regression analysis after age adjustment showed that, compared to the group with BMI<24 kg/m2 and WC<85 cm(male)/WC<85 cm (female), odds ratios (OR) for male in group with BMI<24 kg/m2 and WC≥85 cm, group with BMI≥24 kg/m2 and WC<85 cm and group with BMI≥24.0 kg/m2and WC≥85 cm were 1.602, 1.834 and 3.064 respectively, and ORs for female in group with BMI<24.0 kg/m2 and WC≥80 cm and group with BMI≥24.0 kg/m2 and WC≥80 cm were 1.703 and 2.381 respectively, however, the OR for female in group with BMI≥24.0 kg/m2 and WC<85 cm was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusions BMI, waist circumference and dyslipidemia were closely correlated. Waist circumference is more important than BMI for female.

Objective To improve work efficiency and lower management cost. Methods Based on experiences from the 95th hospital in six years, PACS application benefits were analysed from such seven aspects as digital film management,economic benefit, efficiency and quality of diagnosis, evidence support for solving medical dispute,simplified treatment procedures, social effect, and remote disgnosis. Results Better economic benefits and social effect were obtained. Conclusion It is proved by practice that construction of PACS in small & midium-sized hospitals is necessary and feasible.

OBJECTIVE To realize the situation of nosocomial infection and usage of antibiotic in order to prevent and control nosocomial infection effectively. METHODS According to the request of countrywide nosocomial infection net,using the method of clinic investigation and case history investigation,we have investigated the infection complexion about all patients in 19 May 2006 and 24 May 2007,including the duration,transferring department and dead case.Then to analyze the comparison between two results. RESULTS 3489 cases were investigated,including 186 infection cases.The prevalence rate of nosocomial infection was 5.33%.Five departments had the high prevalence rate of nosocomial infection.They were hematology department,ICU,pediatrics department,neonatal unit and cadre ward.The highest rate was 31.30%.The lowest was 0.The infection site focused on lower respiratory tract.The antibiotic utilizing rate was high. CONCLUSIONS Enhanceing the management of nosocomial infection in key departments,regulating the antibiotic utilizing,to reduce the prevalence rate of nosocomial infection.

OBJECTIVE To explore the characteristic of nosocomial infection and formulate the effective measures of nosocomial infection management. METHODS According to the underlying disease condition and method ICD10,the infection data were to classifed and colleced which including of 160 795 cases during 2003-2006.Then the prospective and retrospective investigation were done for studying the nosocomial infection condition. RESULTS The nosocomial infection rate was 4.69%. The highest infection rate was caused by hematological disease (15.43%). By site of infection the upper respiratory infection rate was 35.34%,the lower respiratory infection rate was 28.22%,the gastrointestinal infection rate was 6.82%,and the intra-abdominal infection was 3.75%. In these infection cases,G-bacteria infection occupied 58.35% (which ranked No.1 in all pathogens),and the fungal infection occupied 17.09%. CONCLUSIONS In order to reduce the infection rate,we must enhance the work of preventing the key diseases,standard the measures of disinfection and isolation,increaseing the quarantine inspection rate and applying antibiotic according to the results of antifugal susceptibility testing.

Objective To evaluate the measurement uncertainty of flavonoids in loquat honey by UV spectrophotometry. Methods Through analyzing the whole process of the total flavonoids in loquat honey by UV spectrophotometry detection,the mathematical model was established,the uncertainty factors were determined,and each uncertainty was evaluated.Then the combined uncertainty was calculated and the expanded uncertainty of the measurement results at the 95％ confidence interval was given. Results The measurement uncertainty of the totle flavonoids content in loquat honey by UV spectrophotometry was (38.497±5. 674) μg?g-1 . Conclusion The uncertainty evaluation method is suitable for determination of the total flavonoids in loquat honey by UV method,and the uncertainty is mainly introduced by preparation of reference stock solution and standard curve fitting.

Objective To analyze the value of cystatin C, β2-microglobulin and microalbuminuria in the diagnosis of early renal damage. Methods Hospital urologist admitted 150 patients with early renal damage as the observation group, selected 150 cases of normal adults in our hospital as the control group, cystatin C, β2-microglobulin and mi-croalbuminuria were measured in the two groups, and the diagnostic value of three markers alone or in combination de-tection were compared. Results The cystatin C, β2-microglobulin and microalbuminuria levels in observation group were significantly higher than control group, sensitive rate of cystatin C, β2-microglobulin and microalbuminuria and joint detection degrees were 91.33%,88.00%, 94.00% and 98.00%; Specificity was 88.00%, 91.33%, 92.00%, 95.33%;Youden indexes were 0.79, 0.79, 0.86, 0.93. Conclusion Cystitis C,β2-microglobulin and microalbuminuria have some diagnostic value in the diagnosis of early renal damage, three markers combined detection can improve diagnostic accu-racy and specificity, worthy of promotion.
