OBJECTIVE:To discuss the role and responsibility of clinical pharmacists in drug counseling for outpatients of our hospital.METHODS:The outpatient drug counseling records in our hospital from 2006 to 2007 were collected and analyzed by citing typical cases as example.RESULTS:The questions presented by patients were related to different aspects of pharmacy and most of which had been solved efficiently.CONCLUSION:In guiding patients' rational drug use,pharmacists should have extensive pharmaceutical knowledge meanwhile bear great responsibility.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for simultaneous determination of 4 effective components in the couple of Coptidis Rhizoma and Evodiae Fmctus,and to investigate rational proportion of the couple.METHODS:HPLC method was adopted.The determination was performed on Welch XB C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-1.5 mmol/L sodium dodecyl sulfate solution (pH adjusted to 5.0 with phosphoric acid) (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The detection wavelength was set at 265 nm,and the column temperature was 30 ℃.The sample size was 10 μL.RESULTS:The linear ranges of berberine hydrochloride,martin hydrochloride,evodiamine and rutacarpine were 2.24-44.80 μg/mL(r=0.999 9),1.26-31.50 μg/mL(r=0.999 8),2.70-81.00 μg/mL(r=0.999 8),1.65-49.50 μg mL(r=0.999 9),respectively.RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were all lower than 3.0％.The recoveries were 98.11％-100.73％ (RSD=1.04％,n=6),96.54％-103.47％(RSD=1.86％,n=6),95.49％-102.36％ (RSD=2.05％,n=6),97.19％-103.24％ (RSD=2.19％,n=6),respectively.When the proportion of Coptidis Rhizoma-Evodiae Fructus(m/m) was 2∶ 1,the comprehensive content of each component was the highest.CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple,accurate,stable and reproducible,and can be used for simultaneous determination of 4 effective components in different compatibility proportions of the couple of Coptidis Rhizoma and Evodiae Fructus.The rational proportion of the couple of Coptidis Rhizoma and Evodiae Fructus is 2 ∶ 1.

In regional anatomy the appliance of the methods of problem based learning can cultivate students' practical ability,slimulate their motivity and raise their passion for study.It is also effective to improve their capabilities of self-study,cooperation,as well as analizing and solving problems.

The LVdP/dtmax, LVSP, AP and Vmax of the rat hearts in vivo were increased by Sophoridine ( 2 mg/kg, given to rats iv ) by 19.5, 13.1, 14.8 and 28.2% respectively. Such a positive inotropic effect lasted for more than 5 min and was statistically significant. Adrenaline (0.16 ?g/kg, iv ) could also increase the LVdP/dtmax and Vmax of the heart obviously and this action was not stronger than Sri after uses of drugs except at 0.5 min and vanished more quickly. There was an increment of MVO2I because of the increased arterial pressure within 3 min after use of Sri, which was much less than adrenaline. The present results show Sri strengthened the cardial force for longer time and affected the arterial pressure and MVO2I less than adrenaline in the rat hearts in vivo.

Hepatic fibrosis in rat induced by intraperitoneal injection of dimethylnitroamine (DMN) was traeted by RNA (4 mg ? kg-1) and CoQ10(2. 5 mg ? kg-1) ,seperately. Normal and pathological groups were compared. In 30, 60 and 90 days treatment, rats were killed for ul-trastructural examination and measurement of serum enzymology, serum amino acids and the quantity of collagenous fibers. The results indicated that, in RNA-treated and CoQ10 treated groups, Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and Y-glutamyl-transpeptidase(?-GT) were normal, the ratio of albunm to globulin (A/G) had significantly difference compared with controlgroup. In RNA-treated group,L-Alanine:2-Ox-oglutarate Aminotransferase(ALT), monoamine oxidase (MAO) and N-acetyl-?-glucosaminidase (NAG) decreased evidently, serum amino acids increased slightly. Ultrastructural and microscopical examination showed the degree of hepa-tocytic necrosis degeneration and the quantity of collagenous fibers in RNA-treated group were rather mild. It appeared that there were protection effects of RNA on liver enzymology and hepaticfibrosis.

Aim: To report 3 cases of relapsing polychondritis admitted within a month, and to explore the therapeutic programme. Methods: Based on therapeutic effect of traditional immuno suppressant and their side effects, the programme was designed as follows: During acute episode, 60～90mg of tripterygium glucosides and 30～60mg of prednisone were medicated orally every day and 1ml(5mg) of diprospan was injected into the painful cortilaginous areas. After the symptoms subsided, the daily dosages of oral drug were gradually decreased to 30～60mg of tripterygium glucosides and 10～20mg of prednisone for four months' course. Results: All the 3 cases′ symptoms were obviously subsided within a half month. All of them were followed up for 22 months. hyperemia, swelling or pain were not fou and in all suffering areas. One case remained a mild cauliflower ear and another case a mild saddle nose. Conclusions: Otorhinolaryngologists need to improve the capabillity of detecting the relapsing polychondritis, in order to make the diagnosis and treatment as early and correctly as possible. Tripterygium wiifordii and steroid have a good therapeutic effect for relapsing polychondritis.

Objective: To study the thermal expansion compatibili ty of a newly developed low temperature compensatory die stone (CDS) with Al 2O 3 base coping and to determine its setting time and setting expansion rate. Methods: Using HDS (Hieraus Die Stone ) as control. The ther mal expansion compatibility of CDS with Al 2O 3 was determined with TMA method on Du point 2100 thermometer;the setting time and setting expansion rate of CDS were measured with routine technique. Results: CDS showed much smaller thermal expansion with Al 2O 3 base coping than HDS.When the wa ter/powder ratio increased from 0.20 to 0.30,the setting time (h) of CDS increas ed from 12.75?0.7546 to 19.85?0.7472,that of HDS from 12.25?0.7169 to 24.00? 0.8165. The setting expansion of CDS was similar to that of HDS at various water /powder ratio. Conclusion: CDS has suitable thermal expans ion compatibility with Al 2O 3, it also has proper setting time and setting ex pansion rate to meet the clinical needs.

The expression of c-erbB-1 and c-erbB-2 oncoproteins were investigated by immunohistochemical technique using monoclonal antibodies to c-erbB-1 and c-erbB-2 oncoproteins in 43 cases of hasal cell carcinoma (BCC) and 26 cases of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The results showed that: ① The expression of c-erbB-1 oncoprotein in BCC increased; the expression of c-erbB-2 oncoprotein in BCC reduced significantly, and lost in 16 cases (16/43). ② The intensities of c-erbB-1 and c-erbB-2 oncoprorein expression had negative and positive correlations to the degrees of SCC differentiation respectively. It is suggested that the abnormal expression of c-erbB-1 and c-erbB-2 oncoprotein in BCC and SCC may play a role in the development of skin tumors.

Objective To determine whether the cross-sectional area (CSA)of the calf measured with MRI could stage lower ex-tremity lymphedema (LEL)secondary to gynecological cancer treatments.Methods 148 patients were enrolled in this research.116 females with unilateral LEL and 32 without LEL after gynecological cancer treatments underwent calf MRI and water displacement. Total soft tissue CSA (T),muscle CSA (M)and subcutaneous tissue CSA (S)of affected calf,and difference of T (DT),M (DM) and S (DS)between calves were obtained on MRI at mid-calf level.Volume of affected calf and difference of volume (DV)between calves were obtained by water displacement.Statistical analysis was performed to determine feasibility of MRI measurements for ac-cessing LEL.Results There were close correlations between volume and T or S of affected calf,and between DV and DT or DS of calves.The correlations of stages of LEL with T and S of affected calf as well as DT and DS were stronger than the volume of affect-ed calf and DV (P< 0.01).Multivariate analysis showed more significant differences in T and S than in volume of affected calf,and in DS than in DV between LEL stages (P< 0.05).No difference was found in volume of affected calf and in DV between stage 0 andⅠ. For staging LEL,DS showed the most profound discrimination ability among all measurable parameters.Conclusion DS of calves could be the most reliable parameter recommended for staging and early diagnosis of LEL.

Objective: To validate thyroid perichondrium with muscular pedicle in laryngopharyngeal repair.Methods: The thyroid perichondrium with muscular pedicle was used. in 2 cases undergoing resection of laryngopharyngeal cancer during different patterns of repair operation. Results: A 1 5 year follow up study showed that both cases achieved the goal of reparative healing. Conclusion: The advantages of this technique are easy to draw materials, good enough in blood supply, mobile for use, and benefitial to epithelializing and filling up the tissue defect. The disadvantages are the limited area and sometimes mild contraction or fibrosis. [
