Korean Journal of Dermatology 1983;21(4):483-487
Eccrine spiradenoma is clinically characterized by a solitary, movable, tender noduie occurring most frequently on the ventral surfase of the upper body. A striking symptom is paroxysmal pain. Histopathologically, the encapsulated lobules of the tumor are composed of masses of basophilic cells, usually arranged in whorls, cords, and pseudogland.s. Within the whorls and pseudoglands, two types of celIs are notedperipheral intensely staining cells and central pale-staining cells. We describe herein a patient with an indolent eccrine spiradenoma, which had been diagnosed histopathologically.

3.Differences in Awareness and Ethical Attitudes about Do-Not- Resuscitate among Emergency Departments' Team.
Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamental Nursing 2011;18(3):411-420
PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to exam differences in awareness and ethical attitudes associated with Do-Not- Resuscitate (DNR) among emergency department's team. METHOD: The participants in this study were 402 emergency department's team working in the 41 hospitals. The data was collected by using "awareness measuring tool" by Kang (2003) and "ethical attitudes measuring tool" by Ko (2004) from May 1 to September 15, 2009. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 14.0 program. RESULTS: 74.4% of subjects was responded that they had never been educated about DNR, but 73.9% of subjects was responded that they had experienced DNR in the emergency room. The majority of subjects responded that the patients and their families should make a decision about the DNR. There was a difference in an appropriate time for explanation of DNR among emergency department's team. There was a difference in ethical attitudes associated with Do-Not- Resuscitate among emergency department's team. CONCLUSION: For a professional and systematic approach to the problem, DNR guideline sufficient to elicit a social consensus is needed.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1984;19(3):603-606
Rhabdomyosarcoma which was first described by Weber has generally been considered an uncommon tumor of striated muscle. Recently it was classified as four types as embryonal, alveolar, pleomorphic, and botryoid type by Horn and Enterline. A fourth type, sarcoma botryoides was generally recognized as a variant of the embryonal type. Al1 of these tumors tend to have a short clinical course, but the survival time seems to be slightly improved by sugical excision followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Authors report one case of rhabdomyosarcoma, which was seen in the right lower leg and showed a rapid growing nature to die, which experienced in Busan National University Hospital, February, 1983.

Korean Journal of Anesthesiology 1993;26(3):506-511
The purpose of this study is to compare the quality of intraoperative salvaged blood with that of Citrate Phosphate Dextrose(CPD) stored blood in 32 patients having cardiac surgery involving cardiopulmonary bypass. 20 patients in the control group received one week cild CPD stored blood and 12 patients received autologous intraoperative salvaged blood which prepared and processed with the Hemonetics Cell Saver Plus autotransfusion device. 1) Salvaged blood had a higher hemoglobin concentration(l7.6 vs 13.1 g/dl, P<0.005), a higher 2.3-diphosphoglycerate concentration(3.1 vs 0.6 mmol/L, P<0.005), higher pH(7.6 vs 6.8, P<0.005) than CPD stored blood group. Salvaged blood had a lower ATP concentration was(47.7 vs 67.7 pmol/dl, P<0.005) than stored blood group. 2) Platelet count was l3.4 X 10(9)/L and WBC count was 5.09 X 10(9)/L in salvaged blood. 3) Salvaged blood volume was 1411+/-487.9 ml(range 580 to 2325 ml). Intraoperative salvaged blood had a superior oxygen carrying and delivery capacity, but modification of washing is required to lessen the platelet and white blood cell count in the salvaged blood.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1984;20(4):789-794
Ultrasound studies of sixty five patients with thyroid mass histologically proven at KyungPook NationalUniversity Hospital from June 1983 to May were retrospectively analized. No specific sonographic characteristicsof thyroid mass lesions was found on the basis of histological diagnosis. Authors consider that ultrasound studymight be mere useful for detection and localization of a lesion, and guide to needle aspiration, monitoring thesize of a mass following therapy as well.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1985;23(2):133-137
Sixty-five volunteers whose skin had never been tanned intentionally participated in this experiment. The skin colors of extensor and flexor of forearm, fore-head, and cheek were measured with Color and Color Difference Meter(Nippon Denshoku Kogyo Co. CP6R 1001-DP) which represents .kin color as 'L, a, and b in values. The L, a', and b values mean the degree of ligntness, redness, and yellowness respectively. Measurement has been performed seven times repeatedly in a year at regular intervals. From the study, the following results were obtained. ]'lexor skin of forearm showed the highest lightness in a year compared to the other regions. All of the regions examined showed the highest lightness in spring compared to the other seasons. 3. Cheek skin showed the highest redness among the four checked regions in a year. 4, All of the checked regions showed the higher redness in summer than in spring. and autumn. 5 All of the checked regions showed the lowest yellowness in May.
