Objective To explore the biological characteristics and to compare the different regulation mechanisms of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)derived from both lupus(MRL/Ipr)and normal (C57BL/6)mice on T iymphoeytes in vitro. Methods MSCs from MRL/lpr and C57BL/6 mice bone marrow were isolated and cultured. The surface phenotypes were detected by flow cytometry(FCM). The morphologi- cal changes of MSCs were evaluated in primary and passage cultures. The growth curves were assayed. CD3~+T lymphocytes from spleen of C57BL/6 mice were isolated by nylon wool columns and stimulated by ConA and co-cultured with or without the two strains of MSCs or supernatant for 72 h. Objective To investigate clinical effect of Danhong injection combined with edaravone in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and influence on TNF-αand TGF-β1 in serum.Methods 67 patients were randomly divided into Treatment Group (n=35) and Control Group (n=32) in Xuanwu hospital of Nanjing from March 2011 to December 2014.All the patients were treated by comprehensive conventional treatment, and then control group was treated by edaravone, treatment group were treated by Danhong injection on the basis of control group.The clinical efficiency, PaO2 , carbon monoxide diffusing capacity (Dlco) and the levels of inflammatory factors between two groups were compared.Results After treatment, the clinical total effective rate(97.14%) of treatment group was statistically higher than that of control group (75.00%, Z=-2.035,P=0.042).After treatment, partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2) and Dlco in treatment group were increased significantly(all P<0.05);and it was statistically higher then control group (all P<0.05).TNF-αand TGF-β1 in treatment group were decreased significantly (all P<0.05);and it was also statistically higher then control group (all P<0.05).Conclusion Danhong injection combined with edaravone is effective in treatment of IPF, which can significantly improve the pulmonary function and levels of inflammatory factors.

Objective:To explore risk factors for no‐reflow after emergency coronary intervention in aged patients with a‐cute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) . Methods:According to presence of no -reflow (≤TIMI grade Ⅲwas considered as no-reflow) after operation or not ,a total of 700 aged STEMI patients hospitalized in our hospital during 2010-2013 were divided into no-reflow group (n=190 ,27. 14% ) and reflow group (n=510 ,72. 86% ) . Clinical data , PCI and coronary angiography data were collected ,compared and analyzed between two groups . Results:Compared with reflow group ,there were significant rise in percentages of patients with TIMI grade 0-1 (61.17% vs. 82.11% ) ,coro‐nary collateral blood flow grade 0 (64.12% vs. 74.21% ) ,5 thrombus scores before PCI (58.83% vs. 80.00% );signifi‐cant reduction in systolic blood pressure (SBP) at hospitalization [ (111.2 ± 24.6) mmHg vs. (101.7 ± 25.9) mmHg] in no-reflow group , P<0. 01 all. Multi-factor Logistic regression analysis indicated that SBP<101 mmHg at hospitaliza‐tion ,collateral blood flow grade 0 before PCI and 5 thrombus scores before PCI were risk factors for no‐reflow after emer‐gency PCI (OR=1.006~4.398 , P<0.05 or <0.01) .Conclusion:In aged acute STEMI patients ,those with risk factors for no-reflow after emergency PCI should take corresponding preventive and therapeutic measures in order to improve their prognosis .

Objective To purify and identif y Platanus acerifoli wild pollen. Methods We carried out intracutaneous test with Platanus pollen extract in 30 patients with allergic as thma who visited our hospital from March to May 2003. Seven subjects who had bee n diagnosed as having Platanus pollen-induced asthma were enrolled. Platanus po llen proteins were separated by gel filtration with Sephadex-G-100. To charact erize allergenic components, Platanus pollen extract was analyzed by means of so dium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis followed by immunoblotti ng. Results To purity the pollen we separated Platanus poll en extract in a first purification step by using gel filtration with Sephadex G -100. Two elution peaks were observed. Twelve percent SDS-PAGE analysis showed more than 10 protein bands whose molecular mass (Mr) ranged from 16 ku to 71 ku. Six bands abundant with protein at 71, 50, 35, 39, 22 and 16 ku were observed. On SDS-PAGE, the proteins of the first peak whose Mr we re 71, 50, 35, 39, and 22 ku and that of the second peak was 16 ku. SDS-PAGE and IgG-immunoblotting analysis with seven sera showed 4 IgG-binding component s whose Mr was 50, 39, 22 and 16 ku. The protein bands whose Mr was 50 ku and 22 ku had the highest binding capacity. Conclusion The strongest activity exists in the first peak which can be the major sensiti zing components and there is mild allergic activity in the second peak which is the minor sensitizing components.

Objective To investigate the correlation between ABCD2 scores and vertebrobasilar artery stenosis in patients with posterior circulation transient ischemic attack (TIA).Methods The patients with posterior circulation TIA who performed cerebral angiography were enrolled in the study,and their ABCD2 scores and imaging data were analyzed.Results A total of 108 patients with posterior circulation TIA were enrolled.There were significant differences in the main trunk stenosis degree of vertebrobasilar artery with different ABCD2 scores in patients with posterior circulation TIA (P =0.005).The overall degree of stenosis increased with the increase of ABCD2 score (P =0.000).After adjustment for other vascular risk factors,ABCD2 score had significant predictive ability for whether had posterior circulation stenosis (odds ratio [OR]1.771,95％ confidence interval [CI] 1.234-2.542; P =0.002) and moderate to severe stenosis (OR 2.083,95％ CI 1.336-3.176; P =0.001).Its receiver operating characteristic area under the curve was 0.693(95％ CI 0.586-0.800) and 0.755 (95％ CI 0.661-0.849) respectively.When the ABCD2 score was ≥3,the sensitivity and specificity of predicting posterior circulation stenosis were 62.6％ (95％ CI 53.4％-71.7％) and 70.6％ (95％ CI62.0％-79.1％) respectively,and the sensitivity and specificity of predicting posterior circulation stenosis ＞ 50％ were 78.7％ (95％ CI 70.9％-86.4％) and 67.5％ (95％ CI58.7％-76.3％) respectively.Conclusions In patients with posterior circulation TIA,the stenosis degree of vertebrobasilar arterial trunk increases with the increase of ABCD2 score.In a certain extent,ABCD2 score may predict whether the main trunk of the posterior circulation has stenosis and whether has moderate to severe stenosis.

Objective To observe the sub-chronic effects of low doses of arsenic poisoning in rabbits exposed to different periods on some of the serum enzymes and biochemical indicators, and to provide the basis for screening of meaningful hematologic indicators for early diagnosis of arsenic poisoning. Methods Twelve adult rabbits,weighing 2.0 - 3.5 kg, were randomly divided into four groups, 3 in each group, and they were fed with drinking water containing sodium arsenite 0(control),0.01,0.05,0.25 mg/L, respectively. Serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate amino transferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ-glutamyl transacylase (y-GT), total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), globulin(GLP), and ALB/GLP of rabbit were measured by SYSMEX-180 automated biochemistry analyzer after 8 weeks and 12 weeks exposure. Results The results showed that ALT in 0.05 mg/Lgroup of 12 week[(60.00 ± 4.14)U/L]increased significantly compared with the control[(41.50 ± 2.12)U/L, P ＜0.05];AST in 0.25 mg/L group of 8 week and 12 week[(46.50 ± 3.21 ), (52.33 ± 3.81 )U/L]increased significantly compared with the control[(21.33 ± 3.53), (29.50 ± 3.23 )U/L, all P ＜ 0.05];ALP in 0.05 mg/L and 0.25 mg/L group of 12 week [(78.68 ± 4.85 ), ( 103.00 ± 7.83 ) U / L]increased significantly compared with the control [(45.50 ± 5.50)U/L, all P ＜ 0.05];γ-GT in 0.05 mg/L group of 12 week[(19.33 ± 7.50)U/L]increased significantly compared with the contro1[(8.50 ± 3.53)U/L, P＜ 0.05]. TP, ALB, GLP, ALB/GLP of different groups of 8 week and 12 week were not significantly different statistically(F= 0.77,0.02,0.16,3.14 and 0.51,0.29,0.41,0.52, all P ＞ 0.05). Conclusions Zero point zero five mg/L and higher doses of sub-chronic arsenic exposure has some major damage to the liver. Compared with other serum enzymes and the biochemical indexes, serum AST is a early sensitive indicator of liver injury of the arsenic poisoning.
