4.Precise surgery of skull base tumor based on 3D printing technology: a case report and analysis
China Medical Equipment 2017;14(3):86-89
Objective:To investigate the significance of 3D printing technology in the treatment of skull base tumor. Methods: A 45-year-old male patient who felt headache and discomfort had progressive loss of vision to blindness in the left eye. Using MR plain scan found that there was a skull base tumor, so the patient was examined by brain CTA and 3.0T MR to obtain medical digital imaging of CT and MR and DICOM data which were input into computer for establishing three-dimensional model, and then printed it.Results: 3D reconstruction model can clearly display the anatomical structure of skull base tumor, three-dimensional space and peripheral blood around skull base tumor. Under the guidance of this new technology, the tumor was completely removed and the surrounding normal brain tissue was preserved as much as possible. The whole operation time was greatly reduced at the same time. Conclusion: The treatment of 3D printing technology is applied in skull base tumors can clearly display the anatomical structure, distinguish adjacent vessels around tumor; when it avoids missing tumor, also can more effectively assist preoperative planning, enhance the security for complex skull base surgery, accelerate the operation speed, improve operation accuracy; it has great application prospect in the precise treatment of neurosurgery.
5.Clinical Study on Acupuncture plus Auricular Point Sticking for Insomnia
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2010;08(3):181-183
Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus ear-points pressure for insomnia. Method: All 156 cases were randomized into the observation, acupuncture and Chinese herbal formula groups. Combined acupuncture and ear-points pressure, acupuncture alone and Chinese herbal formula were applied in each group respectively. Result: The total effective rates of the observation, acupuncture and herbal group were 94.2%, 75.0% and 78.8% respectively. This has indicated that combined acupuncture and Auricular Point Sticking could obtain significantly better effect than the acupuncture group (P<0.01) and the herbal group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Combined acupuncture and ear-point pressure can obtain a better effect for treatment of insomnia.
6.Dynamic Determination of Active Ingredients in Introduced Echinacea purpurea
World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(8):1858-1861
This study was aimed to analyze the dynamic accumulation of active ingredients of Echinacea purpurea. Contents of cichoric acid and total polyphenols in different parts through the whole growth process were determined by HPLC and colorimetry. The results showed that the content of total polyphenol changed little in annual plant. There were differences in content of cichoric acid of different parts in different periods. And the content reached the maximum at flowering stage. It was concluded that the harvest stage depended on the content of cichoric acid. The results provided theoretical basis for induced plant in Shandong province.
7.Galectin-9 and inflammation
International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(6):575-578
Galectin-9 is a novel eosinophil chemoattractant, which belong to Galectin family.Galectin-9exhibits a variety of biological functions, such as cell differentiation, maturation, adhesion and aggregation, cell chemotaxis, activity, and cell death.Galectin-9 may play important roles in the development of acute inflammation as well as chronic inflammation associated with allergies, autoimmune diseases, infectious processes. This review summarizes the advances in Galectin-9 study.
8.Contrast of efficacy between floxuridine and 5-fluorouracil for gestational trophoblastic tumor
Cancer Research and Clinic 2013;25(8):550-551,554
Objective To compare the efficacy and adverse reactions between floxuridine (FUDR) and 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu) treatment of gestational trophoblastic tumor. Methods 111 trophoblastic tumor patients of Ⅱ-Ⅲ stage including 62 cases of in vasive mole and 49 cases of choriocarcinoma were analyzed retrospectinely. The patients were divided into FUDR+KSM group (55 cases) and 5-Fu+KSM group (56 cases).FUDR was according to 23 mg/kg·d phleb instillation, keeping 8 hours,KSM was according to 6 μg/kg·d phleb instillation, keeping 4 hours.5-Fu was according to 26 mg/kg·d phleb instillation, keeping 8 hours.KSM was according to 6 μg/kg·d phleb instillation, keeping 4 hours. Both the two programs were 8 days. Results The cure rate was 98 % (54/55) in FUDR+DSM group, and that was 96 % (54/56) in 5-Fu+KSM group. The incidence rates of phlebophlogosis, dental ulcer and alopecie in the FUDR+KSM group were obviously lower than those in 5-Fu+KSM group [29.1% (16/55) vs 85.7 % (48/56),54.5 % (30/55) vs 98.2 %(55/56),21.8 % (12/55) vs 89.3 % (50/56),all P < 0.05].Both the FUDR+KSM group and the 5-Fu+KSM group bad significant differences at phlebophlogosis dental ulcer and alopecie in Ⅲ stages. Conclusion The curative effect of the FUDR is aimilar with the 5-Fu,but the drug consumption of the FUDR is less. The incidence rates of dental ulcer, alopecie, and phlebophlogosis are less, but myelosuppression and alvi profluvium are rcscmble between the two sets.
9.Effect of the Modified Baoyuan Tang on Macrophage Phagocytosid in Restrained Stress Mice
Chinese Mental Health Journal 1988;0(06):-
Objective: To investigate the effect of the modified Baoyuan Tang (BYT) with different doses on macrophage phagocytosis in restrained stress mice Method: 80 mice were randomly divided into 4 groups receiving different dose of BYT (stress only, 5g/kg, 10g/kg, 15g/kg) Using the intracellular phagocytosis in vivo to assess the phagocytosis ratio (Ph R) and phagocytosis index (Ph I) Result: The Ph R was highest in 10g/kg group The average of Ph I was also highest in 10g/kg group, but the difference between 10g/kg group and 5g/kg group had no statistic significance Conclusion:BTY 10g/kg has the best protective effect for decreased phagocytosis caused by restrained stress in mice
10.Negative Regulation of Toll-like Receptors Signaling Pathways
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(12):-
Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are key mediators of both innate and adaptive immunity by recognizing and eliciting responses to invading pathogens. The activation of TLRs must be stringently controlled in order to avoid exaggerated expression of signaling components as well as pro-inflammatory cytokines that can devastate the host, resulting in chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders and aid in the pathogenesis of TLR-associated diseases. Therefore,it is essential that negative regulators act at multiple levels within TLR signaling cascades in order to synchronize the activation and negative regulation of signal transduction to limit potentially harmful immunological consequences. A summary of the various mechanisms employed by negative regulators of TLRs signaling to ensure the appropriate modulation of both immune and inflammatory responses was provided.
