Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow 2017;20(2):100-104
Enchondromas generally occur in the hand and uncommonly in the long bones. Because enchondromas are usually asymptomatic, most are discovered during diagnostic radiology for another disease. Here, we describe a case of enchondroma in the right humerus in a 79-year-old female patient with concomitant rotator cuff tear arthropathy. The patient was initially hospitalized for prolonged pain and pseudoparalysis of the right shoulder. The condition, which was histologically confirmed as an enchondroma in the proximal humerus, was treated with curettage and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. In this case report, we present a rare case of an enchondroma with combined rotator cuff tear arthropathy.

The wrist joint is exposed to trauma easily which is a small portion of human body. Because there are many structures(tendons, vessels and nerves) in the wrist, it is necessary to examine carefully and treat properly when it is damaged. We have treated 230 cases of soft tissue injuries around the wrist and the result can be summarized as follows; 1. Among the 230 cases, the male ratio was 85% and the highest incidence was in the third decade. 2. Right side injuries were more than left and flexor surface injuries were more than extensor surface. 3, The main cause of injury was glass, 149 cases(64.8%) and the next on was knife, 37 cases(16%). 4. Injuries in the night were more than daytime. 5. Injuries in the summer were more than winter.

Journal of the Korean Pediatric Society 1994;37(10):1469-1473
Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is inherited disorder of adrenal steroidogenesis. 21-hydroxylase deficiency is the most commone enzymatic defect and is divided into classic and late-onset or nonclassic forms. Both classic non-classic 21-hydrozylase deficiencies are inherited in a recessive manner as allelic variants. But it is rare that happened in twin infants. Chief complaints of affected twins in our case were ambiguous genitalia, hyperpigmentation and dehydrations. They were revealed into hyponatremia, hyperkalemia and increased amount of serum progesterone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone and urinary 17-ketosteroid excretion and were administered with DOCA, 9alpha-fluorohydrocortisone, hydrocortisone to control the electrolyte imbalance. And now, both of them are going to normal ratio of weight gain and body growth.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1998;39(8):1855-1863
We have reported general principles of low vision aid prescription. But, we have not reported near vision aid prescription only. So, we analyse prescriptions of near low vision aid(diagnosis, type, magnification, etc) and present new near low vision aids that patients feels comfortable. We reviewed the clinical records of 100 patients who visited our low vision clinic more than twice and was prescribed near low vision aid for low vision. According to the data analysed, optic nerve atrophy was the most common etiology for low vision. Illuminated hand held magnifier(31.3%), telemicroscope with plus cap(27.7%), aspheric doublet sens(Clear Image II)(24.1%) were low vision aids most commonly used for near vision, but we knew new trend that newly prescribed aids(telemicroscope with plus cap, aspheric doublet lens) were prescribed more than illuminated hand held magnifier. After prescription of the low vision aid, visual acuity improved significantly (p<0.05). We examined contrast sensitivity test to measure the functional acuity and predict the visual prognosis after prescription of low visio aid.In addition,we studied the relationship between reading speed and the degree of contrast sensitivity and we knew that the relationship between degree of contrast sensitivity and reading speed was associated(p<0.05). Majority of patients(89%) were benefited from prescribed low vision aids.

Korean Journal of Gynecologic Oncology and Colposcopy 1993;4(4):65-72
Fourty three patients known to hnve cervical intraepithelial neoplasia were assigned to Papanicolaou smear in five different ways, i, e, A) cotion tipped wood applieator at the pasterior vaginal fronix and the ectocervix, B) cotton tipped wood applicator at the ectocervix and the endocervical canal, C) Cytohrush at the endocervical canal, D) Cervexbrusk and E) Cyto-spatula. At the completion of cytologic study, all the subjects were done colposcopically directed biopsy and/or ECC. To evaluate the false negative rates of the cytologic test, cervical cone biopsy or hysteectorny was performed on all the patient. The false negat, ive rates were 53.5% in A) 39.5% in B), 14,0% in C), l8.6% in D), 25.6% in E) and statistical differences occurect between each group, It was also found that bleedings were most frequently endountered in E) and the encocervical cells were most frequently appeared in C). With these results, it can he stated that the rate of negative encocervical cells in the srnear were correlated with the false negative rates of cervical cytology.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1989;27(6):738-740
We report a case of trichorrhexis nodosa in a 27-year-old male. Scanning electron microscopic findings reveals those of typical trichorrhexis nodosa nodal swelling of affected hair showed longitudinal fissures and fractures in the cortex. A paintbrush effect was noted at the site of fracture. Simple avoidance of trauma gave some regrowth of hairs.
