We describe a case of cement leakage from the pedicle of vertebrae to the subcutaneous tissue after kyphoplasty.We attempted to remove all cement leakage, but residual cement remained in the paraspinal tissue without any neurological complications.This case illustrates the importance of the right timing of cement injection and when to detach the bone-filler device from the cement.

3.The Role of Fat Tissues in the Diagnosis of Musculoskeletal Imaging.

Fat tissue is a unique component of the soft tissue, and this fat tissue lies primarily in the spaces beneath the normal subcutaneous tissue, and within or around the organs. An entire lesion, or just a part of it, can be composed of these fat tissues. Therefore, it plays an important role in the diagnostic workup of suspected musculoskeletal diseases as well as in the differentiation between them. Fat tissue is shown as low density on plain radiographs, decreased attenuation on CT images, high signal intensity on T1-weighted images and it is hypoechoic on sonography. Because of its distinctive features, fat tissue is easy to verify on various modalities.?In addition, recent image studies like fat-suppressed imaging and STIR imaging provide more precise information of the lesion that involve fat tissue. In this article, we have reviewed the differentiation of musculoskeletal diseases, including the various tumorous lesion and tumor-like lesions involving the fat tissue.

4.A Case of Targetoid Hemosideric Hemangioma.

Targetoid hemosideric hemangioma represents a distinctive, benign, vascular tumor. Histologically, it is a noncircumscribed vascular proliferation that may extend into the subcutaneous tissue. The superficial component is composed of ectactic dermal vascular lumina with intradermal papillary projections. The deeper component is composed of angular lumina dissecting collagen bundles. We present a case of targetoid hemosideric hemangioma which was presented as solitary nodule on left thigh.

the ineidence of abdominal subcutaneous endometriosis is quite rare we have experienced one case of subcutaneous endometriosis. The typical clinical bistory and local findings of endometriasis enabk us to make the conect diagnosis. the treatment of choice is complete surgical excision of endometrial tissue and post operative medical therapy. This case was reported with a brief review of the comcemed literatures.

Subcutaneous emphysema is one of the rare complication of tracheal intubation and it's mechanism has been known as airleakage to subcutaneous tissue from the perforated site of larynx, trachea and esophagus by the trauma of laryngoscopic blade, stylet and endotracheal tube. We experienced a case of subcutaneous emphysema during unexpected difficult endotracheal intubation. At the initial laparoscopic examination, the patient's laryngeal view was grade IV of Cormack and Lehane's calssification. After several trial of the intubation, cervical subcutaneous emphysema developed by the trauma of laryngoscopic blade, stylet and endotracheal tube, even though failed to confirm the perforated site at postanesthesia one day.

8.A Case of Chromoblastomycosis Showing a Good Response to Itraconazole.

Chromoblastomycosis, a chronic fungal infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, is known to be difficult to treat. Recently itraconazole has proved effective for treatment of this infection, but requires a prolonged treatment course. We experienced a case of chromoblastomycosis caused by Fonsecaea pedrosoi in a 68-year-old Korean man showing a complete resolution with a short course of oral itraconazole, 200 mg daily, for six weeks.

10.A Case of Fibrous Hamartoma of Infancy in the Prepubic Area.

Fibrous hamartoma of infancy in the genital region is a rare benign fibroproliferative disease typically arising from subcutaneous tissue, particulary in males during the first two years of life. It has a typical histopathologic findings which consists of mature fat cell, immature mesenchymal cell and fibrocollagenous band. It is benign in nature which mostly is cured by local excision and rarely recur. We report a case of fibrous hamartoma of infancy in the prepubic area with its sonographic finding and review of the literature.
