Objective To investigate the characteristics of liver tissue pathology and immunohistochemistry in HBeAg negative hepatitis B virus infection and provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment. Methods Liv-er biopsy was carried out on the 63 HBeAg negative HBV infections, then liver tissue inflammation, fibrosis and immu-nohistochemistry were detected. Results In HBeAg negative and HBV DNA negative patients, both the male and female,ALT normal and mildly abnormal group had no significant difference in liver inflammation and fibrosis(all P >0.05).Among the patients with fibrosis stage ≥S2,the ratio(30 /41,73.2%)of patients above 30 years old was higher than that below 30 years old (6 /14,46.2%)(P =0.041).There were no differences in liver tissue inflamma-tion(5 /34,14.7% vs.9 /29,31.0%)and fibrosis (8 /34,23.5% vs.8 /29,27.6%)between HBV DNA negative group and HBV DNA positive patients(all P >0.05).Only 2 cases of HBcAg positive in those 63 cases of liver tissue immunohistochemistry. Conclusion The liver tissues of HBeAg negative HBV DNA negative or positive patients have obvious liver inflammation and fibrosis, and the necessary treatment measures should be taken.HBcAg positive is extremely low in those liver tissue immunohistochemistry, which lead to the pathogenesis of liver inflammation needs further research.

Objective To investigate the relationship between insulin resistance and erythrocyte in- sulin receptors in patients with gout associated with macroalbruminuria(MAU).Methods FBG,PBG,FINS, P2hINS,CH,TG,HDL,LDL-c,UA and erythrocyte insulin receptors were determined in 44 patients with MAU,62 patients with normal MAU(NMAU).Results In MAU,the levels of FINS,TG,LDL-c and HOMA-IR were(16?4)mU/L,(2.5?0.6)retool/L,(3.2?0.5)mmol/L and 3.6~1.2 respectively. While they were(13?3) mU/L,(2.3?0.8)mmol/L,(3.0?0.5)mmol/L and 3.0~0.4 in NMAU group. The levels of FINS,TG,LDL-c and HOMA-IR were significantly higher in the MAU patients than those in NMAU patients(P

Objective To investigate the clinical features, effective treatment, survival and prognostic factors of second primary tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SPTSCC) after nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) radiotherapy. Methods The clinical data of 35 cases with SPTSCC after NPC radiotherapy were analyzed retrospectively. Kaplan-Meier method, Log-Rank test and COX proportional hazard mode was performed for statistical analysis. Results 3-year and 5-year overall survival rates were 55 % and 47 %, respectively, lymph node metastasis rate was 5.71 %. Univariate analysis indicated that gender (χ2 = 8.89, P = 0.00), T classification (χ2= 5.58, P= 0.02), clinical stage (χ2 = 8.51, P= 0.04) and treatment methods (χ2 = 29.37, P = 0.00) were important factors of prognosis. Multivariate analysis showed that treatment methods (P = 0.00) and T classification (P = 0.03) were independent prognostic factors. Operative treatment group had better prognosis than the non-operative treatment group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05), male patients in the risk of SPTSCC was higher than the female patients, and the incidence of SPTSCC was increased along with extension of the time after NPC radiotherapy. Conclusion The rate of the lymph node metastasis is lower for SPTSCC after NPC radiotherapy and treatment patterns and T stage are independent prognostic factors. Long-term follow-up after NPC radiotherapy is necessary to the early diagnosis of SPTSCC, so that to give surgery or combined therapy with surgery in order to achieve a good effect.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(11):-
Targeting induced local lesions in genomes (TILLING) is a reverse genetics method for functional genomics research. It is possible to screen for point mutations in the populations of EMS mutagenesis with highthroughput and lowcost. EcoTILLING a method based on TILLING ,was developed for detecting multiple types of polymorphisms in germplasm collections, such as single nucleotide polymorphism, small deletion and insertion etc.Rice is a very important food crop and a model plant for genome research also. There are complete genome sequence and a lot of other bioinformatics resources about it.So the markerassisted breeding is becoming more and more important in rice breeding. Some issues based on TILLING about identifying germplasm based on gene sequence,EMS mutagenesis breeding, developing functional marker in rice breeding in future were discussed.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical efficacy of the arthroscopic Mender II stapler for the treatment of patients with meniscus anterior horn injury needing meniscal suture repair.
METHODSAmong 47 patients with meniscus anterior horn injury, 29 patients were male and 18 patients were female, ranging in age from 12 to 31 years old, with a mean age of (20.53± 4.12) years old. The duration of disease ranged from 3 to 35 days, and the average duration was (12.43±5.74) days. The Mender II stapler was used to carry out arthroscopic suture from outside to inside. The Lysholm knee scoring system was used to evaluate and analyze preoperative and postoperative symptoms, such as pain, limping embolism and so on.
RESULTSForty-six patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 12 to 48 months, with a mean of (20.53±4.12) years. The incision healed at the first stage without important vessels and nerves injuries. The symptoms of the locked knee joint disappeared, and symptoms such as pain, limp, swelling and limitation of activity improved. The Lysholm score increased from preoperative 52.33±7.31 to postoperative 86.74±6.92.
CONCLUSIONUsing Mender II stapler to treat patients with meniscus anterior horn injury who were treated with arthroscopic suture from outside to inside is effective to improve symptoms, and to obtain good short-term results.

Optimization of sensor array is a significant topic in the application of electronic nose (EN). Stepwise discriminant analysis and cluster analysis combining with screening of typical index were employed to optimize the original array in the classification of 100 samples from 10 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine based on alpha-FOX3000 EN. And the identification ability was evaluated by three algorithm including principle component analysis, Fisher discriminant analysis and random forest. The results showed that the identification ability of EN was improved since not only the effective information was maintained but also the redundant one was eliminated by the optimized array. The optimized method was eventually established, it was accurate and efficient. And the optimized array was built up, that is, S1, S2, S5, S6, S8, S12.

OBJECTIVETo study the process of eliminating tannin with polyamide-adsorption for preparing Xinshao lyophilyzation.
METHODThe transfer rate of paeoniflorin, tannin examination, the test of the local stimulus and abnormal toxicity on mice were adopted as indexes to optimize the process of tannin adsorption and resolution of polyamide-adsorption, and the effect of eliminating tannin of polyamide-adsorption was compared with traditional methods.
RESULTThe effect of eliminating tannin with polyamide-adsorption was good, and the transfer rate of paeoniflorin with polyamide-adsorption was superior to the other methods. Furthermore, the abnormal toxicity decreased evidently and the security of the preparation was ensured.
CONCLUSIONThe method of polyamide-adsorption provides a useful reference to the technique of eliminating tannin in the traditional Chinese medicine injections.
