Objective To investigate the clinical value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT)in the diagnosis of focal pulmonary ground-glass opacity nodules(fGGO)of 1 cm or less. Methods The MSCT examination data of 95 patients with subcentimeter fGGO was analyzed and compared with pathology results. The different pathological types of fGGP lesion size, internal solid component size, mixed type ground glass nodules (mGGO)proportion and pleural sag, lesion shape, grave leaves, burr, cavitation and the boundary conditions were compared. According to the relationship of the lesions and the surrounding blood vessels,3 types were classified, and the relationship of fGGO and blood vessel were analyzed. Results The minimal lesion was 0.41 cm of 95 cases and the maximum was 0.99 cm.There was statistically signifi-cant difference in the lesion size, solid component sizes,mGGO and lobulation occupied the percentage of the group before infiltrating and the adenocarcinoma group (P <0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in pleural indentation, lesion shape, burr, vacuoles and boundary conditions (P >0.05).The difference was statistically significant in the leaflet occupied the percentage of the benign group com-pared with the adenocarcinoma group, and the differences of the remaining features were not statistically significant compared with the adeno-carcinoma group(P >0.05).According to the relstionship between fGGO and the vessels, patients in the benign group were type Ⅰ or typeⅡ,type Ⅲ was found in 10 cases of the group before infiltrating (25.6%),and type Ⅲ in 17 cases of the adenocarcinoma group (39.5%), the proportion of type Ⅲ of the group before infiltrating and the adenocarcinoma group was higher than that of the benign group (P <0.05). Conclusion The qualitative diagnosis of pulmonary fGGO is difficult, and the relationship between the morphology of the lesions under the MSCT and the surrounding vessels have some value for the diagnosis of the lesions.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the rescue and treatment of critical children with tracheobronchial foreign body. METHODS From June 2011 to June 2015,there were 2489 children with tracheobronchial foreign bodies treated in Children's Hospital of HeBei Province, among which 11critical children who were rescued as soon as they came to the hospital. The clinical data of the 11critical children were analyzed. RESULTS All the 11 critical cases endured dyspnea of third degree or more severe and presented severe hypoxia, in which 2 children had been performed tracheal intubation before they came to the hospital and 1 child even showed the symptom of respiratory and cardiac arrest. Among these critical cases, the foreign body was removed directly without anesthesia in 1 child. The other 2 children with severe pneumothorax, mediastinal emphysema and subcutaneous emphysema in neck and chest area were treated by excision and drainage of emphysema firstly, and then the foreign bodies were extracted through bronchoscope after general anesthesia. The another 8 children were performed operations of extraction of bronchial foreign body and then the foreign bodies were taken out. All the 11 critical children were rescued successfully and no death cases happened. CONCLUSION Rapid diagnosis and rapid removal of foreign bodies is the key to save the lives of critical children with tracheobronchial foreign bodies.

A reasonable and practicable quality standard was developed for mori liquid extract from different sources by TLC, HPLC and fingerprint technology. In TLC method, the compounds were separated on polyamide film using glacial acetic acid-water (1: 3) as mobile phase at a UV wavelength of 365 nm. All qualified samples had the spots of the same color as the control herb and substance. The RP-HPLC method was used to determine the content of mulberroside A with mobile phase of methanol-water (25: 75) at a wave-length of 326 nm. The mulberroside A was in good linear with a regression equation of Y = 46.965X (r = 0.999 6) in the range of 4.6 - 228 mg x L(-1). In 14 batches of samples, the mulberroside A in 4 batches of them was less than 0.5 g x L(-1), and was more than 2.0 g x L(-1) in the other batches. It was suggested that the content limit of mulberroside A should be no less than 1.5 g x L(-1). The HPLC fingerprints were evaluated by the similarities. It has found that the similarities of different mori liquid extracts were very low and the chemical diversity of mori cortex was the major factor of similarity. Moreover, the process impact was minimal. Thus the fingerprint was not included in this quality standard.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of four traditional Chinese medicines distributed along lung meridian, namely Ephedrae Hebra, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix and Mori Cortex, on TLR2 and NF-κB expressions in mice with lung heat syndrome, in order to study the intervention effect of the four traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) on the lung heat syndrome.
METHODOne hundred KM mice were randomly divided into the normal control group, the model group, the Ephedrae Hebra group, the Zingiberis Rhizoma group, the Scutellariae Radix group and the Mori Cortex group (20, 10 g x kg(-1)), nasally dripped with streptococcus pneumoniae to establish the mouse lung heat syndrome model, and then administered with different TCMs. The expressions of TLR2, NF-κB p65 proteins in lung tissues were analyzed by the immunohistochemical method. The expressions of TLR2, NF-κB p65 mRNA were measured by real time PCR.
RESULTCompared with the normal control group, the expressions of TLR2 and NF-κB p65 proteins in lung tissues in the model group were higher (P < 0.01), and the expressions of TLR2 and NF-κB p65 mRNA in lung tissues were up-regulated (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, Ephedrae Hebra high and low dose groups, the Zingiberis Rhizoma low dose group and the Scutellariae Radix high dose group showed decreased expression of TLR2 protein (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01); Ephedrae Hebra high and low dose groups, the Zingiberis Rhizoma low dose group, Scutellariae Radix high and low dose groups and Mori Cortex high and low dose groups showed reduced expression of NF-κB p65 protein (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Ephedrae Hebra high and low dose groups, Zingiberis Rhizoma high and low dose groups, Scutellariae Radix high dose group and Mori Cortex high dose group showed down-regulated expression of TLR2 mRNA (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONEphedrae Hebra, Zingiberis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix and Mori Cortex can induce the TLR2/NF-κB inflammatory signal pathways by down-regulating the expressions of TLR2 and NF-κB p65 in protein and mRNA, so as to alleviate the lung tissue injury in mice with lung heat syndrome.

Objective To determine the reliability of Chinese- version of Cerebral Palsy Quality of Life Questionnaire for Children (CPQOL) between self-raters. Methods Family members of 21 children with cerebral palsy from rehabilitation centers or hospitals, 2 members of the same one, and 18 teenagers with cerebral palsy from a special school along with one of their parents, answered CPQOL. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) between family members, as well as teenagers and their parents were calculated, and the differences of scores of each dimension between parents and teenagers were compared. Results The reliability between family members was acceptable (ICC=0.49-0.86) in all the dimension of CPQOL, which was good in the function and acquired service dimensions, and was moderate in participation and body health dimensions. The reliability was weaker between parents and teenagers (ICC=0.29-0.73), which was acceptable in the dimensions of function, and participation and body health; and very low in the dimension of welfare and acceptance. The teenagers often rated better than their parents did, especially in the dimension of participation and body health (P<0.05). Conclusion The reliability of CPQOL is acceptable when rated by family members of cerebral palsy children, especially in the dimensions of function and service acquired. It is weaker between parents and children, especially in the dimension of welfare and acceptance.
