Objective To investigate the clinical significance of hemoperfusion(HP) in treating severe tetramine intoxication.Methods Fourty-eight children with severe tetramine intoxication from January 1999 to December 2002 were enrolled into two groups:HP treatment group and routine treatment group. Routine treatment group was treated with general therapy,such as gastrdavage,catharsis and so on. While hemoperfusion was added to HP treatment group besides general therapy.Results The number of cure in HP treatment group was higher than that in routine treatment group(? 2=8.17 P

Objective To prevent the occurrence of violence in the emergency department,to reduce the damage to medical personnel,and to maintain the normal medical order in emergency department.Methods A retrospective analysis of medical incidents of violence in the emergency department has been made.A root cause analysis (RCA) group has been established to explore the root cause of the incident and to make the violence emergency preplan of emergency department.Results Medical personnel have been trained according to the plan.It has improved the awareness of health care workers.The incidence of violent injury incidents decreased.Conclusions The establishment and training of emergency preplan can improve the awareness and prevention ability of emergency medical staff to violence injury.The safety of medical staff in emergency department can be guaranteed.

Objective Oridonin is a poorly water soluble drug with low bioavailability.The study aimed to prepared improve the dissolution rate of oridonin by preparation of oridonin solid dispersion with poloxamer. Methods The oridonin solid dispersion was prepared by dissolvent method with poloxamer188 as the carrier and determined by DSC and powder X-ray diffraction.The dissolu-tion rates in different pH dissolution mediums of pure drug, physical mixture and solid dispersion were determined by HPLC method. Results Oridonin exists as an amorphous state in the solid dispersion.Compared with the pure drug and physical mixture, the orido-nin solid dispersion was improved greatly without the pH influence on the drug release.The dissolution rate of oridonin solid dispersion in water, pH 6.8 PBS and pH 1.2 HCl were (92.6 ±4.2)%, (93.1 ±3.5)%and (94.4 ±2.9)% respectively. Conclusion Taking inpoloxamer188 as the carrier, the oridonin solid dispersion has successfully developed its dissolution rate.

Delightful achievements have been obtained in forestry genetic breeding since the application of transgenic technology in this field during the past 20 years. Field trials of some genetic modified (GM) trees have been carried out, and some GM trees have been commercialized. Meanwhile, the risks of ecological safety caused by GM trees have raised attention in the public gradually. These issues mainly include the horizontal transfer and vertical flow of foreign genes, and the potential effects on insects, soil ecosystems and virus. The current status of field trials, commercial applications and the potential ecological risks of GM trees were summarized. Then the prospects of GM trees were also presented.

Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics of ST elevation and non-ST elevation acute myocardial infarction (AMI) related with left circumflex artery (LCX) occlusion. Methods: Clinical data of 86 consecutively enrolled patients with LCX occlusion -related AMI undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) were retrospectively analyzed. According to manifestations of electrocardiography, the patients were divided into ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) group (n=32) and non STEMI (NSTEMI) group (n=54). Clinical features and prognosis were compared between two groups. Results: Compared with NSTEMI group, there were significant increase in serum level of creatinine [(80±23) μmmol/L vs. (100±30) μmmol/L], in rates of intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation （IABP）support (3.7% vs. 18.8%), usage of invasive respiratory machine (1.9% vs. 15.6%), ischemic mitral reflux (13.0% vs. 40.6%), complete atrioventricular block (0 vs. 9.4%), proportion of left coronary artery dominant type (7.4% vs. 28.1%) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter [LVEDd,（46±4）mm vs.（48±5）mm?]; And significant decrease in percentage of triple-vessel coronary disease (72.2% vs. 46.9%) in STEMI group, P<0.05 or <0.01. There was no significant difference in mortality rate during admission (3.1% vs. 0, P>0.05) between STEMI group and NSTEMI group. Conclusions: Compared with patients with NSTEMI, patients with STEMI have poorer heart function in patients with left circumflex artery occlusion, which may be related to more left coronary dominance.

AIM: To investigate the effect of ecdysterone (EDS) on H9c2 cardiomyocytes after oxidative stress.METHODS:H9c2 cells were cultured in vitro and divided into control group, high dose (2 μmol/L) of EDS group, middle dose (1.5 μmol/L) of EDS group, low dose (1 μmol/L) of EDS group, and H2O2 group.H9c2 cardio-myocytes in H 2 O2 group and high , middle and low doses of EDS groups were exposed to H 2 O2 for 6 h to establish the model of oxidative stress.The viability of the H9c2 cells was detected by CCK-8 assay.The apoptosis of H9c2 cells was analyzed by flow cytometry.The levels of lactate dehydogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) in the culture medium, and the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the H9c2 cells were measured by colorime-try.The generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the mitochondrial membrane potential were evaluated by flow cy-tometry and confocal laser scanning microscopy .The protein levels of Bax , Bcl-2 and cleaved caspase-3 in the H9c2 cells were determined by Western blot .RESULTS:Ecdysterone at the selected concentrations had no effect on the viability of H9c2 cells.Compared with control group, the levels of LDH, CK-MB, ROS and MDA, and the apoptotic rates of the H9c2 cells were significantly increased after treated with H 2 O2 , but were decreased by EDS treatment in a dose-dependent man-ner.The levels of SOD and mitochondrial membrane potential of the H 9c2 cells in H2 O2 group were reduced significantly compared with control group , but high, middle and low doses of EDS treatments up-regulated the levels of SOD and mito-chondrial membrane potential in H 2 O2-treated H9c2 cells.The protein levels of Bax and cleaved caspase-3 in the H9c2 cells in H2 O2 group showed significant elevation in comparison with control group , and the protein expression of Bcl-2 de-clined in H2 O2 group compared with control group , but high, middle and low doses of ecdysterone treatments down-regula-ted the protein levels of Bax , cleaved caspase-3 and up-regulated the expression of Bcl-2 in H2 O2-treated H9c2 cells. CONCLUSION:Ecdysterone attenuates the effect of H 2O2-induced oxidative stress on H9c2 cardiomyocytes.The mecha-nism may be involved in scavenging oxidative stress products , increasing antioxidant enzyme activity and improving mito-chondrial function .

Objective To investigate the different distribution of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and CD8+T cells in the local immune microenvironment of mucosal malignant melanoma and cutaneous malignant melanoma, and analyze the relationship between the two indicators and the prognosis of patients. Methods Immunohistochemistry staining was used to assess the ex?pression of Foxp3+Tregs and CD8+T cells in tumor microenvironment of 58 patients with malignant melanoma. The correlation between two factors, clinicopathological characteristics, and prognosis were analyzed. Results There is no correlation be?tween the expression of Foxp3 and CD8. The number of Foxp3+Tregs was significantly higher in mucosa malignant melanoma than that in cutaneous malignant melanoma (t=2.648, P=0.011). The proportion of Foxp3highTregs was significantly higher in pa?tients with tumor diameter≥3 cm, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis than that in patients with tumor diameter<3 cm, no lymph node metastasis and no distant metastasis (P<0.05). In addition, in patients with ulceration that proportion was significantly higher in CD8high group than that in patients without ulceration (33.3%vs 5.9%, P<0.05). The median progres?sion-free surial (PFS) was 12 months in Foxp3high group, which was significantly longer than that of Foxp3low group (31 months, P<0.05). The median PFS was significantly higher in CD8high group (25 months) than that of CD8low group (12 months, P<0.05). Subgroup analysis showed that the median PFS was 7 months in Foxp3high CD8low group, which was significantly lower than that of Foxp3highCD8high group (25 months) and Foxp3lowCD8low group (18 months, P=0.003). Univariate analysis showed that median PFS was different in patients with different tumor location, different number of Foxp3+Treg, different number of CD8+T cells, and distant metastases. Conclusion The number of Tregs is closely associated with metastasis in patients with malig?nant melanoma. Compared with cutaneous malignant melanoma, our results indicate that the poor prognosis of mucosal malig?nant melanoma may be associated with the infiltration of more Tregs.
