Objective To observe the effect of total flavonoids of ampelopsis grossedentata on blood lipid and hemorheology in atherosclerosis rats .Methods The atherosclerosis model in rats was made by freeing high grease food and intraperitoneal injection of vitamin D3 ,total flavonoids of ampelopsis grossedentata was gave by gavage ,and the level of serum lipid and blood rheology were tested 24 weeks later .Results Total flavonoids of ampelopsis grossedentata could obviously decreased the level of TG ,TC ,LDL , and increased HDL(P<0 .05) .It could significantly decrease whole blood viscosity ,plasma viscosity and hematocrit (P<0 .05) . Conclusion Total flavonoids of ampelopsis grossedentata can adjust fatty substance metabolism ,improve hemorheology of athero-sclerosis rats ,and has therapeutic effect for atherosclerosis .

Objective To explore the changing levels of serumIL-17 and Dectin-1 and their implication in non-neutropenic pa-tients with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA).Methods The clinical data were reviewed for 23 non-neutropenic patients with clinical diagnosis of IPA (IPA group),31 patients with clinical diagnosis of pneumonia (pneumonia group)and 51 healthy subjects(control group).The peripheral serum was collected to analyze IL-17 level by ELISA.Serum Dectin-1 level was also determined at the same time.Serum G test,GM test,WBC and CRP level were also assayed for the patients in IPA group.Pa-tient outcome was followed up and analyzed in terms of serum IL-17.Results The serum IL-17 level of the patients in IPA group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05).The serum IL-17 level in the pneumonia group was not significantly different from that in the control group (P >0.05).The serum Dectin-1 level in IPA group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05).For the patients in IPA group,serum IL-17 level was positively correlated to serum Dectin-1 level (r=0.81 ,P <0.05),while serum IL-17 and Dectin-1 levels were not correlated to the results of G test, GM test, WBC,CRP or patient outcome (P > 0.05 ). Conclusions Dectin-1 may be produced and Th17 cell immunity activated in response to Aspergillus fumigatus in-fection in non-neutropenic patients.And,serum Dectin-1 level is correlated with Th17 response.

Objective: Cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) increases ventricular transmural dispersion of repolarization (TDR). Our work evaluated the relationship between QTc interval of TDR indicators, TpTe, TpTe/QTc ratio and rapid ventricular arrhythmia in patients with CRT-D. Methods: A total of 160 consecutive patients who received CRT-D implantation in our hospital from 2011-01 to 2013-03 were studied. The immediate post operative ECG was collected to analyze lead V5 QTc interval, TpTe and TpTe/QTc ratio for assessing its TDR. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Treatment group, the patients with ventricular tachycardia or ventricular ifbrillation received CRT-D,n=30 (18.7%) and Non-treatments group,n=130 (81.3%). All patients were followed-up for (20 ± 10) months and the rapid ventricular arrhythmia was recorded by CRT-D devices. Results: The patients in Treatment group had increased TpTe/QTc (0.24 ± 0.05) vs (0.20 ± 0.04, and TpTe (119 ± 30) ms vs (95 ± 20) ms, bothP<0.001. The QTc interval was similar between 2 groups (480 ± 60) ms vs (470 ± 70) ms,P=0.6 and QTc interval was not related to the risk of CRT-D requirement. The sensitivity and speciifcity for TpTe/QTc ≥ 0.25 predicting the risk of ventricular arrhythmia in CRT-D patients were at 47% and 91%, while TpTe ≥ 120 ms were at 40% and 95%respectively. The post CRT-D surviving curve analysis indicated that TpTe/QTc ratio and TpTe could predict the prognosis in relevant patients,P<0.001. Conclusion: The elevated TpTe and TpTe/QT ratio may increase the incidence of CRT-D requirement in patients with ventricular arrhythmia after resynchronization.

Objective To observe the effect of dihydromyricetin of ampelopsis grossedentata on lipid metabolism and antioxidation in atherosclerosis (AS) rats. Methods Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups (n = 12 each):normal control group, model control group, positive control group, high dose dihydromyricetin group (40 mg·kg-1 ) and low dose dihydromyricetin group (10 mg·kg-1 ). Except normal control group, rats in the other groups were injected with a single dose of vitamin D3(600 000 U·kg-1 ) and loaded with high fat diet to establish AS model. Simvastatin (5 mg·kg-1 ) was intragastrically administered to positive control group. High and low dose dihydromyricetin groups received intragastric administration of 40 and 10 mg·kg-1 dihydromyricetin, respectively. Equal volume of purified water was given to normal and model group. After 24 weeks of administration, serum levels of lipids, activities of superoxide-dismutase (SOD) and malonicdialdehyde (MAD) were determined. Results As compared with model control group, triglycerides (TG) of high and low dose dihydromyricetin groups was decreased [(191. 65±101. 10) vs. (111. 10±29. 29) and (120. 55±38. 12) mg·L-1 , respectively], total cholesterol (TC) was decreased [(151. 64±33. 62) vs. (148. 49±30. 14) and (118. 90±27. 38) mg·L-1 ], and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was increased [(1. 29±0. 68) vs. (2. 10±0. 70) and (1. 62±0. 61) mmol·L-1 ], low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) was decreased [(5. 01±1. 33) vs. (3. 97±0. 78) and (4. 28±0. 79) mmol·L-1 ], activity of SOD was increased [(141. 03±42. 52) vs. (187. 97±42. 08) and (150. 99±46. 17) U·mL-1 ], and MDA was decreased [(20. 51±3. 81) vs. (17. 64±1. 54) and (18. 52± 3. 42) nmol·mL-1 ], with significant differences (P<0. 05, P<0. 01). Conclusion Dihydromyricetin can reduce the level of serum lipid, improve antioxidation activity, and has therapeutic effect for atherosclerosis.

Objective To study the effects of Androsace umbellata extract on bone wound healing in rats.Methods A total of 32 rats were selected,and the rat femur bone trauma model was established.The Androsace umbellata was administrated to rats in treatment groups (including high-dose Androsace umbellata group and low-dose Androsace umbellata group,8 rats in each group)continuously for 10 days,while rats in the fake operation control group (8 rats)and bone trauma model group (8 rats) were treated with corresponding volume of solvent by body weight.The growth of body weight and wound healing of rats were recorded.The serum levels of calcium and phosphorus,activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP),bone density and bone biomechanics were examined.The X-ray photograph was carried out to observe the effects of Androsace umbellata on bone wound healing,Results Compared with the bone trauma model group,serum levels of calcium and phosphorus,calcium-phosphorus product and activity of ALP were significantly increased in treatment groups,there were statistically significant differences (P＜0.05).Compared with the bone trauma model group,bone density of trauma place in the high-dose Androsace umbellata group was significantly decreased (P＜0.05),bending energy in the low-dose Androsace umbellata group was increased (P＜0.05),while no statistically significant difference was found in the other skeletal biomechanical properties (P＞0.05).The results of X-ray films indicated that the treatment groups shown better effects on bone wound healing compared with the bone trauma model group.Conclusion Androsace umbellata extract could effectively promote bone wound healing in rats.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the antiproliferative and anti-metastasis effect of Xihuang Pill (, XP) on human colorectal cancer cell and to explore the molecular mechanism by which it produces the effects.

METHODSHighly metastatic human colorectal cancer cell line LoVo was treated with low-, medium-, and highdose XP-containing serum (XP-L, XP-M, XP-H) groups for 48 h, cells intervened with no drug rat serum and PD98059 [extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) inhibitor] as negative and positive controls (NC and PC) groups. Cell proliferation assay was made using cell counting kit-8 (CCK8). The 8 μm pore-size transwell chamber and 4', 6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) staining were applied to examine the ability of invasion and migration of the cells. The protein expression of ERK1/2, zinc fifi nger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1), Scrib and lethal giant larvae homolog 2 (Lgl2) was detected by Western blotting while the relative mRNA quantity of E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Occludin and junctional adhesion molecule-1 (JAM1) was measured by realtime fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).

RESULTSXP induced a dose-dependent suppression on the proliferation of LoVo cells (P <0.05 or P<0.01), with the inhibition rates varied from 27.30% to 31.08%. Transwell assay showed that when preprocessed with PD98059 and XP-containing serum, the number of cells that passed the filter decreased significantly compared with that of NC group (P <0.05 or P<0.01). Moreover, XP inhibited the protein expression of ERK1/2 and ZEB1 (P <0.05); and up-regulated the protein expression of Scrib and Lgl2 (P <0.05). The mRNA levels of E-cadherin, Occludin and JAM1 of the XP intervened groups and PC group markedly ascended (P <0.05) while that of N-cadherin showed a descending tendency (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONXP intervention suppressed the ability of proliferation, invasion and migration of the LoVo cells. Regulating ZEB1-SCRIB Loop so as to recover epithelial phenotype and apical junctional complex might be one of the mechanisms by which XP produces the anti-metastasis effect.

Aim To investigate the antidepressive-like effect of ethyl alcohol extract of Polyrhachis vicina Rog-er(EAPR),and its mechanism.Methods EAPR was prepared by ethanol extraction.Its anti-depressive effect was investigated by tail suspension test (TST) and forced swimming test (FST).Furthermore,repeated doses of reserpine was used for preparing the depres-sive rats.Results EAPR has definitely anti-depres-sive effect,as evidenced by the decreased immobility time in FST and TST at the doses of 8 and 4 g·kg -1 (P <0.05).In the repeated reserpine evoked depres-sive rats,EAPR antagonized the symptoms induced by monoamines depletion and attenuated the anhedonia, as manifested by reversed hypothermia,akinesia and sucrose consumption at the doses of 8 and 2 g·kg -1 (P <0.05,P <0.01).Neuro-chemical studies showed that AFPR significantly increased the concentration of monoamines,including 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) and noradrenaline(NA)at the dose of 8 g·kg -1 (P <0.05),and had no effect on normal rats .Furthermore, EAPR increased the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD)in serum,hippocampus and cerebral cortex at the dose of 8 g·kg -1 (P <0.05).Conclusion EA-PR possesses the definite antidep ressive properties, connected with the regulation of neurotransmitter me-tabolism and the nerve cells antioxidant effect.

OBJECTIVEMicrocapsule chemoembolism is a promising treatment of tumors. We describe a deep lingual arterial embolization of tongue carcinoma with microcapsuled carboplatinum.

METHODSLingual artery cast specimens from cadavers were microscopically examined, and 78 patients with tongue cancer were recruited and treated with the deep lingual arterial embolization therapy.

RESULTSMicrocapsule embolism occurred approximately at the fifth or sixth level of the deep lingual artery branches. The five-year survival rate was 88.5% (69 out of 78), and the ten-year survival rate 52.6% (41 out of 78).

CONCLUSIONThe deep lingual arterial embolization of tongue carcinoma with microcapsuled carboplatinum is an effective therapy to treat carcinoma in mid-margin or mid-body of the tongue.

OBJECTIVETo establish a new method of early cut-off skin flap by ligating to stegnosis pedicle and assess its feasibility and clinical application.

METHODSTwenty New Zealand rabbits were used to make skin flaps with the size of 8.0 cm x 4.0 cm on both sides of the back respectively. And one side was experimental group with the pedicles of skin flaps horizontally oversewn by several pairs of silk thread, the other side was control group. Two pairs of silk thread in the two sides of the pedicle of skin flap of experimental group were ligated on the 3rd day. On the 5th day the pedicle was wholly ligated. All pedicles were divided on the 6th day and the survival area of skin flaps were measured after 3 days. The tissue samples from the skin flaps were collected for histology test on the 4th and 6th day respectively. The pedicles of 78 random flaps from 48 patients were cut off after narrowing them by ligating.

RESULTSThe mean flap survival rate of the experimental group was statistically higher than the control group. Histological examination results showed the density and diameter of blood vessel were increased in the skin flaps of the experimental group. The mean time for removal pedicles was shortened to 10 days, and no necrosis was found after resecting.

CONCLUSIONSThis method is secure and convenient and the time of pedicle division can be shortened.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of preoperative CTO lesions by coronary CT angiography (CCTA) and to compare the lesion characteristics and clinical data of patients with subsequent vs failed PCI.Methods A total of 113 patients were randomly selected and 116 vessels were analyzed by CCTA before PCI.The patients were further investigated as PCI success group vs PCI failure group according to their PCI result.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to determine the factors that affected the success of CTO intervention.The ROC curve was used to determine and evaluate the CT-CTO score and J-CTO score for diagnostic efficacy.Results The success rate of PCI was 55.2％.64 lesions were successfully opened,with the success rate of 72.4％.The prevalence of smoking in patients in the PCI failure group was significantly higher than that in PCI success group (65.4％ vs.42.2％,P ＜ 0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in age,gender,history of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,and myocardial infarction(P ＞ 0.05).Statistical differences were observed between the PCI success group and the PCI failure group in the presence of occlusion segment head-end bifurcation,occlusion severe incision,severe calcification (calcification ≥ 180°),occlusion segment length ≥ 20 mm,occlusion of calcification lesions,occlusion segment distal shape of the unambiguous of fiber cap shape of the distal occlusion segment under CCTA(P ＜ 0.05).In the PCI failure group,approximately 17.3％ of the patients had previous attempt to open the CTO lesions,which were higher than the PCI success group (9.4％).However,The difference was not statistically significant (P ＞ 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the unambiguous distal fibrous cap of the occlusion segment and the occlusion of the proximal branch and the occlusion length ≥20 mm were the main factors affecting the failure of CTO intervention.In terms of prediction,the predictive value 30 CT-CTO score yielded a higher area under the ROC curve than that of the J-CTO score (0.8776 vs 0.7387,P ≤ 0.05).Conclusion CT angiography can predict the success rate of intervention for CTO lesions.Compared with J-CTO score,CT-CTO score has a higher predictive value.Unambiguous fiber cap shape,occlusion segment head end bifurcation,occlusion segment length ≥20 mm were the independent risk factors that affecting the success of CTO operation.
