Objective To analyze the relationship between knowledge on cardiovascular disease prevention and ideal cardiovascular health behaviors and factors in community elderly. Methods From December, 2015 to May, 2016, totally 400 elderly in communities with-out overt cardiovascular disease were conveniently sampled. The level of knowledge on cardiovascular disease prevention was measured by self-designed cardiovascular disease prevention questionnaire. And each of the ideal cardiovascular health components was collected. Re-sults A total of 390 responses were valid. 13.85%community elderly were with high level of the knowledge. There were significant differ-ences in the distribution of cardiovascular health indexes among various leves of the knowledge groups (χ2>9.974, P<0.05), except choles-terol (P>0.05). The level of the knowledge was positively correlated with the scores of cardiovascular health behaviors and health factors (r>0.354, P<0.01). The cardiovascular health score, health behaviors score, health factors score and number of ideal cardiovascular health in-dexes were significantly different among various levels of the knowledge groups (F>8.961, P<0.001). Conclusion The level of knowledge on cardiovascular disease prevention was positively correlated with cardiovascular health behavior and health factors. The scores of cardio-vascular health score, health behaviors score and health factors increased with the improvement of knowledge on cardiovascular disease pre-vention.

Sarcopenia is common in chronic heart failure. The pathogenesis of chronic heart failure-related sarcopenia is complex and diverse. Resistance training, as the main intervention for chronic heart failure-related sarcopenia, is widely applicated as effective and safe therapy.

Objective To explore the efficacy of Compound Qianliean Granule in the treatment of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis study in rats. Methods The rats were randomly divided into three groups, experimental group ( treated with 3.0 g? kg -1 Compound Qianliean Granule ) and control group ( treated with 2.4 g? kg-1 Qianlieshule granule ) and normal group ( treated with distilled water ) , 1 times daily. The difference of white blood cell count, lecithin corpuscle density were observed after 7 days administration by microscope.The difference of left and right ear weight was calculated on the degree of swelling. The differences of quantity in abdominal cavity dye of relatively deep was compared.Results The white blood cell count in experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group and the normal group.The lecithin corpuscle density as compared with the control group and the normal group, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).The difference of swelling degree and the absorbance compared between experimental group, control group and normal group were significant ( P<0.05).Conclusion Compound Qianliean Granule has good inhibitory effect on chronic abacterial prostatitis.

Ventricular fibroblasts were cultured using conditioned growth medium for ventricular fibroblasts (FCGM). The rate of the total collagen synthesis of ventricular fibroblasts was measured by assaying the incorporation rate of ［3H］-proline, whereas the proliferation of ventricular fibroblasts was assessed by determining the incorporation rate of ［3H］-TdR and the expression of c-fos genes. FCGM significantly increased the ［3H］-proline incorporation rate and ［3H］-TdR incorporation rate of fibroblasts in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, FCGM promoted the c-fos gene expression of fibroblasts, which attained its maximum in 1 h. BQ123, an ETA receptor antagonist, partially blocked the above effects of FCGM, but AT1 receptor antagonist CV11974 and α-adrenergic receptor antagoist regitin did not. It is suggested that the ventricular fibroblast has an autorine function in promotion of collagen synthesis and proliferation of fibroblasts by secreting endothelin and other bioactive substances.

Using cell culture, radioimmunoassay for endothelin and RT-PCR, the effect of aldosterone on the endothelin secretion of ventricular fibroblasts was studied. The results showed that aldosterone (1×10－7 mol/L) promoted the expression of ppET-1 mRNA, which began to increase in 2 hours and attained the highest level in 4 hours, thereafter decreased; aldosterone increased the endothelin level in ventricular fibroblasts and fibroblast conditioned growth medium (FCGM) as well, which was blocked by spironolactone (1×10－6 mol/L), an aldosterone receptor antagonist. The results suggest that aldosterone can increase endothelin secretion by ventricular fibroblasts, which can be inhibited by its receptor antagonist spironolactone.

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of L-arginine, a nitric oxide (NO) precursor, on protein expression of endothelial nitric oxide (eNOS), nitrite/nitrate content, protein expression of mitogen-activated protein kinase phosphatase-1 (MKP-1) and the activity of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) in cardiac tissues in renovascular hypertensive rats (RHR). The Goldblatt renovascular hypertensive model was established by two-kidney one clip method. The rats were divided into four groups, respectively treated with 50, 150 and 450 mg/kg L-arginine and 150 mg/kg L-arginine plus 10 mg/kg L-NAME (an eNOS inhibitor) (ip). Another group did not receive specific treatment from the 5th week after renal artery constriction. Control group was sham-operated. Mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) and the ratio of left ventricular weight to body weight (LVW/BW) were measured 8 weeks after treatment. eNOS protein expression, nitrite/nitrate content, MKP-1 protein expression and MAPK activity in cardiac tissues were detected using Western blot analysis, enzyme-reduction method and substrate in-gel kinase assay, respectively. It was found that L-arginine significantly inhibited the increase of MABP and LVW/BW, attenuated the activity of MAPK, increased protein expression of eNOS and MKP-1 and potentiated production of NO in cardiac tissue with the most effective dosage of 150 mg/kg, and these effects of L-arginine could be inhibited by L-NAME. These results suggest that MKP-1 may play an important role in the NO-induced inhibition of myocardial hypertrophy. The anti-hypertrophic effects of L-arginine may involve increase of eNOS protein expression and NO production, poten- tiation of MKP-1 protein expression, and inhibition of MAPK activity in the cardiac tissue of RHR.

Objective:To compare the effects and characteristic difference of negative pressure materials of polyvinyl alcohol and polyurethane in the treatment of full-thickness burn wounds after escharotomy.Methods:From January 2018 to December 2019, 60 patients with full-thickness burns who met the inclusion criteria and hospitalized in Xuzhou Renci Hospital were recruited in this prospective randomized controlled trial. According to the random number table, 60 cases were divided into polyvinyl alcohol group ( n =30, 13 males and 17 females) and polyurethane group ( n =30, 14 males and 16 females), aged (34±7) and (35±6) years respectively, with burn area of 4.20% (2.23%, 4.90%) total body surface area (TBSA) and 3.89% (2.18%, 4.76%)TBSA and escharectomy area of 2.70% (1.97%, 3.42%) TBSA and 2.87% (2.12%, 3.34%)TBSA, respectively. After patient′s admission, debridement was immediately performed on the full-thickness burn wound, and the dressing was changed with iodophor once a day. Escharectomy was performed on post injury day 3. After thorough hemostasis and washing the wounds with normal saline, patients of the two groups chose corresponding foam materials and supporting facilities for continuous negative-pressure treatment for 1 week, with the negative pressure value setting at -19.9 kPa. Installation time of negative-pressure material was recorded. After a week of negative-pressure treatment, the maximum pulling force of removing foam material was recorded to evaluate the adhesional degree between foam materials and wounds. The amount of bleeding in the process of removing foam materials was recorded, hyperplasiaof granulation tissue was observed with hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining, and the expression of CD31 was detected by immunohistochemical staining and Western blotting to denote vascularization. The ratio of R1 to R0 of coefficient of restitution of foam material before and one week after negative-pressure treatment and drainage volume of wound exudate within a week of negative-pressure treatment were recorded to denote the drainage ability of foam material to wound exudate. One week after negative-pressure treatment, the bacterial colonization, residual foreign body, and eczema rate of skin edge were recorded. Data were statistically analyzed with chi-square test, independent-sample t test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Results:(1) Installation time of negative-pressure material of patients in polyurethane group was (14±3) min, which was significantly shorter than (18±3) min in polyvinyl alcohol group ( t=2.788, P<0.01). (2) One week after negative-pressure treatment, the maximum pulling force of removing foam material of patients in polyvinyl alcohol group was (6.4±0.4) N, which was significantly lower than (16.7±0.8) N in polyurethane group ( t=12.010, P<0.01). (3) One week after negative-pressure treatment, the volume of wound bleeding of patients in polyvinyl alcohol group was (20±3) mL in the process of removing foam material, which was significantly less than (59±3) mL in polyurethane group ( t=50.200, P<0.01). (4) One week after negative-pressure treatment, HE staining showed that hyperplastic thickness of wound granulation tissue of patients in polyurethane group was (2.3±0.6) mm which was significantly higher than (1.6±0.4) mm in polyvinyl alcohol group ( t=6.667, P<0.01); immunohistochemical staining showed that the number of microvascular lumen in wound granulation tissue of patients in polyurethane group was significantly more than that in polyvinyl alcohol group; Western blotting showed that protein expression of CD31 in wound granulation tissue of patients in polyurethane group (1.00±0.05) was significantly higher than 0.42±0.03 of polyvinyl alcohol group ( t=10.490, P<0.01). (5)The ratio of R1 to R0 of coefficient of restitution of foam material of patients in polyvinyl alcohol group was 0.39±0.19, which was significantly lower than 0.52±0.16 in polyurethane group ( t=2.975, P<0.01). In patients of polyvinyl alcohol group, the drainage volume of wound exudate of foam material during one week after negative-pressure treatment was (1 258±444) mL, significantly less than (1 658±580) mL of polyurethane group ( t=3.003, P<0.01). (6) One week after negative-pressure treatment, the number of residual foreign body in wounds of patients of polyurethane group was (14.14±0.37) particles, which was significantly more than (3.36±0.15) particles in polyvinyl alcohol group ( t=26.200, P<0.01). The level of bacterial colonization of wounds and eczema rate of skin edge of patients between the two groups were close. Conclusions:Polyurethane foam material is easy to install and operate, relatively difficult to dry and shrink, and has strong ability to discharge wound exudation. Polyurethane foam material is better than polyvinyl alcohol foam material in promoting wound angiogenesis and tissue proliferation. Polyurethane foam material can be chosen firstly for the wounds with need of protecting deep tissues and important organs, as well as the wounds with obvious inflammatory edema and serious contamination. Polyvinyl alcohol foam material is less adherent to wounds, which is better than polyurethane foam material in the aspects of reducing wound bleeding and residual foreign body. Polyvinyl alcohol foam material can be firstly selected to fix and promote skin graft survival after skin grafting, wound bed preparation before skin grafting of burn with large area and deep wound cavity or sinus, etc. Both types of foam materials need to be improved in the aspects of bacterial colonization and prevention and treatment of skin eczema.

Objective To access the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM) and its associated risk factors among adults with obesity in Zhejiang province. Methods The enrolled subjects were selected among local residents aged≥18 years with body mass index≥28 kg/m2 from 15 counties by multi stage stratified cluster random sampling from July to November, 2010. Each participant was required to attend complete questionnaire, physical examination, and testing overnight fasting blood specimen. Results A total of 1 351 residents were enrolled, including 613 males and 738 females. The prevalence of T2DM in adult population with obesity was 15. 03%, being 14. 03% in male, and 15. 85% in female;and that in urban area was 16. 64%, and in rural area was 13. 93%. Data from multivariable logistic regression showed that factors such as ageing (OR=1. 473, 95% CI 1. 243-1. 747), a family history of T2DM(OR=8. 945, 95% CI 5. 481-14. 598), staple food intake (OR=1. 185, 95% CI 1. 017-1. 380), triglyceride(≥1. 7 mmol/L, OR=1. 542, 95%CI 1. 066-2. 232) were risk factors of T2DM;while annual income(OR=0. 695, 95%CI 0. 544-0. 888), and milk intake(OR=0. 750, 95%CI 0. 567-0. 993) were shown as protective factors. Conclusion The prevalence of T2DM in adults with obesity was raised, ageing, a family history of T2DM, staple food intake, and dyslipidemia appeared to be major risk factors for T2DM.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of high power microwave (HPM) radiation on the expression of beta(1)-adrenergic receptor (beta(1)-AR) and M(2)-muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M(2)-AchR) in cardiomyocytes.

METHODSS-band HPM device of mean power density 2 approximately 90 mW/cm(2) was used to irradiate 150 healthy Wistar male rats. Immunohistochemistry and image analysis were used to study the pathological characteristics of heart tissue and the expression of beta(1)-AR and M(2)-AchR.

RESULTSRadiation of over 10 mW/cm(2) made myocardial fibers disordered in arrangement, degeneration even sarcoplasm condensation, Pace cells necrosis, and Purkinje cells lysis in a dose-dependent manner (r = 0.968, P < 0.05). beta(1)-AR expression in endocardium, membrane and cytoplasm of myocardium of left ventricle was increased on d1 after radiation, peaked on d3 (P < 0.05) and recovered on d14. M(2)-AchR expression was peaked on d1 (P < 0.01) and recovered on d14.

CONCLUSIONCertain degree intensity of HPM radiation may cause heart injury, and increased expressions of beta(1)-AR and M(2)-AchR, which may play an important role in the pathophysiology of heart injury induced by HPM.
