Ocular neovascularization,abnormal formation of new vessels from pre-existing capillaries,is a special pathologic change of many ocular diseases,including diabetic retinopathy and retinopathy of prematurity,etc..Ocular neovascular diseases comprise the common causes of blindness in millions of people.Recent studies showed that kringle domains from many endogenous proteins inhibit the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells in vitro and neovascular formation in vivo.Hence kringle domain with conservative structure has been considered as a potential inhibitor of neovascularization.The update studies on antiangiogenic kringle domains and its inhibition on ocular neovascularization were summarized.

Objective:To observe the tansdifferentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) into cardiomyocyte in a coculture system with cardiomyocytes.Methods:Newly born Wistar Rats' cardiomyocytes were isolated and cultured and the cells were labeled with DAPI.Prepared MSCs were planted into the cardiomyocytes dishes to establish a co-culture system.Supernatant liquid of the cardiomyocytes or fibroblast was added the MSCs(non-labeled) dishes as the control. After one week of coculture,fluorescence microscope observation and immunocytochemical staining with cTnT was performed to evaluate the phenotype changes in non-labeled MSCs.Results:MSCs and cardiomyocytes were connect with each other by net in culture plate after a few days of coculture;some non-labeled cells were positively stained by cTnT antibody while the MSCs cultured with cardiomyocytes or fibroblast supernatant liquid were stained negatively.Conclusion:To obtain cardiomyocyte phenotype in vitro,direct contact of MSCs with cardiomyocytes is essential.The signaling molecules induce MSCs' transformation into cardiomyocytes are likely some membrane proteins on the surface of cardiomyocytes.

This paper argues that the core idea of evidence-based medicine is to “follow the evidence”,whose essence is a model of clinical medical service,and a guiding ideology for the clinical practice.It has become a proper noun nowadays.The wording “evidence-based medicine teaching method”needs discussion, because “evidence-based medicine” and “teaching method” are lack of logical internal relations in concept.The teaching method of scientific sense has its own characteristics and requirements.To name a teaching method,it is necessary to define its peculiar connotation in teaching method,with specific procedures and steps to form a complete set of scientific method of teaching.

The research methods, such as philology of medicine history and comparison between tradition and modern and so on were adopted in this article to study the acupuncture-moxibustion development after western medicine spreading to the East in Japan and its main transition under the impact of western medicine. The results showed that from Meiji to Showa period, under the influence of western medicine, the transition of Japanese acupuncture-moxibustion mainly embodied in following three aspects, incuinng acupuncture works absorbing western medicine knowledge, applying experiment measures to explore acupuncture principle and launching acupuncture teaching in accordance with Europe and America academy educational pattern. The changes on acupuncture works, teaching materials and methods of researching and teaching have triggered the transition and transformation of Japanese acupuncture-moxibustion from tradition to modern.

In the several years,clinical practice,Professor LU Zhi-zheng has accumulated abundant experiences in the treatment of splenic-gastric diseases,and developed a unique treatment system of splenic-gastric diseases. Through the analysis of the recent cases dealt with by Professor LU Zhi-zheng,fi ve features of treatment are preliminarily summarized,i.e. combination of dryness and moisture,independence of increase and decrease upon each other,co-utilization of coldness and warmth,simultaneous application of reducing and nourishing therapies and co-treatment of splenic and gastric diseases,which fully embody the dialectical treating philosophy of Yuan-ji-huo-fa of Professor LU Zhi-zheng,and such treating method is of considerable guiding signifi cance for us to cure the splenic-gastric diseases and other diffi cult and complicated diseases by treating the splenic-gastric diseases.

As the burden of anesthesiology teaching is heavy in undergraduate course, teachers can communicate with the students by nonverbal behaviors, such as eye contact, silent language, facial expression, paralanguage, which can make class atmosphere active, develop harmonious teacher-student relationship, and improve the quality of class teaching. Teachers of anesthesiology should take some measures, such as rehearsing lessons, summing up the experience of the lessons in time, accu-mulating the experience of nonverbal behaviors, and doing some exercise for the nonverbal behavior as much as possible, so as to set up an excellent atmosphere for teaching ,and meanwhile improve the quality of anesthesiology teaching.

Objective To explore the clinical and pathological characteristics of singularity uterine leiomyoma.Methods The cause of disease and the clinical features in 15 patients with singularity uterine leiomyoma were analyzed.The patients were examined by pathology and immunohistochemistry.Results The main clinical manifestations were irregular vaginal bleeding,pelvic tumor and anemia.3 patients combined with pregnancy,4 patients had the treatment history of exogenous progesterone.The tumor appeared grayish red,and with complete envelope by macroscopic examination;The multi-and mono-nucleated giant cells were seen under surgical microscopy,the mitosis count was 0～3/10HPF.The tumors showed weak positive staining for Ki-67 and p53,negative staining for ER in 8 cases and positive staining for PR in all cases.Conclusions Singularity uterine leiomyoma belongs to benign tumor,its clinical features and treatments are similar to common leiomyoma;It has certain relation with exogenous and endogenous progesterone.The differentiation of leiomyoma with leiomyosarcoma is basically depended on HE staining observation;The immunohistochemistry of leiomyoma has certain feature.

Objective To review the characteristics of human defensin 5 (HD 5), including molecular structure, antibacterial activity and gene expression, and to show its development prospect as a new drug in the treatment of enterogenic infection. Methods The published papers about HD 5 were reviewed to summarize its research progress. Results Being a 3-5 KDa cationic peptide rich in cysteine and arginine, especially without glycosylated side chain, HD 5 plays its antibacterial role against positive and negative Gram's bacterium, fungi, spirochete, protozoan and enveloped virus with the special active center composed of three disulfide bonds. HD 5 encoding gene alpha defensin 5 (DEFA 5) localizes at the 8th chromosome P21 pter with 449 bp, which includes five pieces of sequence: 5′ untranslated region (1-40),signal peptide (41-97), propiece (98-226), mature peptide (227-322),and Poly A (433-438).Conclusion As a broad spectrum and effective endogenous antimicrobial peptide, HD 5 would be a promising alternative peptide against enterogenic infection if the accessibility to its mass production is settled.

Objective To compare the perioperative application of fast track surgery(FTS)andtraditional surgery for fractured fibs.Methods Eighty four perioperative patients with fractured fibs wereenrolled,including 42 cases treated by FTS philosophy(FTS Group)and 42 cases treated by traditional surgery(Tradition Group).The results of postoperative VAS score,serum albumin,recovery time of gurglingsound,exhaust time of intestinal tract,postoperative complications,hospital stay,total hospital cost and patient satisfaction were investigated and compared between the two groups.Results Patients in FTS grouphad lower VAS scores,higher level serum albumin,earlier time of gurgling sound recovery and intestinalexhaust,lower rates of postoperative complication,shorter time of hospital stay,lower hospital costs andhigher levels of satisfaction(P <0.05).Conclusion For perioperative patients with fractured fibs,FTShas advantages in low VAS score,good nutrition condition,short intestinal tract convalescence,low postoperative complication rate,short hospital stay,low host costs and high level of satisfaction,which is worthy ofbeing spread.
