1.The effect of saponin isolated from stems and leaves of ginseng (SLG) on immunologic function in mice
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
The effects of SLG on the immune function of normal and immune-suppressed mice were investigated. The results showed that SLG (50mg/kg, im) could correct the suppressive effect of cyclophosphamide, dexamethasone or prednisolone on spleen and. thymus weight, serum specific antibody level and lymphocyte transformation. SLG could also improve the phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages and enhance peripheral blood ANAE+-lymphocyte ratio of mice. No obvious effect of SLG on the normal mice were observed except that it could increase the antibody level of normal mice. The results implicate that SLG may have some immunomodulatory effect.

5.The characteristics and treatment of rare embryonal tumors of central nervous system in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2021;36(3):168-171
Embryonal tumors of central nervous system (CNS) are highly invasive malignant tumors that mainly affect infants.Even if the current active treatment strategies are given, the prognosis is still very poor. The 2016 World Health Organization(WHO) classification integrates the genetic information of diseases with histopathology, so as to make the classification and diagnosis of these tumors more accurate. In the new classification, embryonal tumors of CNS include the most common medulloblastoma, and the rare embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, C19MC-altered, embryonal tumor with multilayered rosettes, not otherwise specified (NOS), medulloepithelioma, CNS neuroblastoma, CNS ganglioneuroblastoma, CNS embryonal tumor, NOS, atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, and CNS embryonal tumor with rhabdoid features.Further study and exploration on the biological nature of these rare brain tumors will provide scientific basis for new treatment methods.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(7):441-443
Hematopoietic chimerism is a measure of the number of donor and recipient cells in the host following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), and it has a good correlation with GVHD and relapse. Chimerism detection after nonmyeloablative allo-HSCT is a simple essential and effective method to predict the outcome of the disease, and can significantly improve the success rate of transplants, reduce the recurrence and then improve the quanlity of life of patients.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 1999;0(07):-
Objective TO study the cellullar immunity function and the role of interleukin-6(IL - 6) during trauma and its recovery stage. Methods 14 cases of serious and 28 mild traumatic fractureswere selected to observe the change of T cell proliferation reaction and IL - 6 presentation of concentration inthe liqUid of T cell culture in vitro. Results 57.14% of serious cases presented the depression of cellproliferation, and IL - 6 concentration reduced to 82. 36 pg/ml, which was lower than that in mild traumagroup (183. 07 pg/ml) and control group(472. 90 pg/ml) respectively. There is statistical significance between the two groups. The rate of CD 8 + T cell was increased relatively in the serious group (33. 43% ), andthe ratio of CD 4 + /CD 8 + (1.58 ) was lower than the group of mild trauma (1. 73 ) and control group (1. 76).There is negative relationship between the concentration of IL - 6 in cell proliferation liquid and CD 8 + T cellratio (r = - 0. 438) in those cases. ConcluSion in serious cases, the T cell proliferation was depressed, while the number of CD 8+ cell increased relatively, and IL - 6 expression was decreased.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2009;32(15):12-14
Objective To discuss the effect of blood glucose monitoring during pregnancy and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods One hundred and fifty-three GDM patients from July 2007 to July 2008 were analysed. The cases were divided into satisfactory group (74 cases)and unsatisfactory group (79 cases) based on the level of bleod glucose and compared the pregnancy outcome between the two groups. Results The incidences of pre-eclampsia, polyhydramnios, macrosomia, neonatal hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia of satisfactory group were lower than those of unsatisfactory group(5.41% vs 17.72%,4.05% vs 20.25%, 12.16% vs 31.65% , 5.41% vs 20.25%,8.11% vs 30.38%). The difference is statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of premature rupture of membranes, premature birth, postpartum hemorrhage, fetal distress of satisfactory group were lower than those of unsatisfactory group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion GDM can cause great harm to maternal and child health, and satisfactory blood glucose control during pregnancy may reduce maternal and child complications.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2010;30(3):365-368
Objective To evaluate the effect of propofol on lung cell apoptosis induced by acute pulmonary thromboembolism (APTE) .Methods Forty male SD rats weighing 280-300 g were randomly divided into 5 groups ( n = 8 each) : group Ⅰ sham operation ( group S) ; group ⅡAPTE and 3 propofol groups ( group P1-3). APTE was produced by iv injection of auto-blood clots. Venous blood 0.2 ml was obtained from rat tail vein and placed in a sterile test tube which was kept in water bath at 37 ℃ overnight. The blood clot was cut into thrombi ( diameter 1 mm, length 5 mm) the next day. Fifteen thrombi in 2 ml of normal saline were injected into immediately after iv injection of auto-bloed clots. The animals were killed at the end of 4 h propofol infusion and lung specimens were obtained for determination of lung cell apoptosis rate by flow eytometry and expression of caspase-3, Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, FasL mRNA and protein by RT-PCR and Western blot. The expression of Bcl-2/Bax mRNA and protein was calculated. Results Compared with group S,APTE significantly increased the lung cell apoptosis rate, and expression of caspase-3, Bax, Fas, FasL and decreased the expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-2/Bax. Propofol infusion significantly attenuated these APTE-induced changes. Conclusion Propofol can inhibit APTE-induced lung cell apoptosis by down-regulating the caspase-3, Fas and FasL expression and regulating the balance between Bcl-2 and Bax expression.
