Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1990;19(1):131-135
Osteochondroma of long bone are common lesions : however spinal involvement may occur in 2.5% to 7% of all, and usually occurs from the neural arch of spinous process. Neurological complications are rare, occurring in less than 1% of patients of them. The authors report a solitary osteochondroma occurring in the lamina of C5, causing spinal cord compression.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1984;13(2):343-347
A case of T8-9 disc herniation presenting with signs of spinal cord compression is reported. The patient was subjectd to a transpedicle approach through a midline incision and was cured completely. The other surgical techniques and the diagnostic value of the spine CT are also discussed.

Spinal cord compression is fatal condition to oncologic patients. Metastatic spinal cord compression from ovarian cancer is rarely reported in the literature. We experienced a case of solitary spinal cord compression with paraplegia in recurrent ovarian cancer patients.

10.Transoral Approach of Atlanto-Axial Pyogenic Abscess.
Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1995;24(4):464-470
A case of atlanto-axial dislocation caused by a pyogenic abscess was presented. A pyogenic abscess in the cervical region is rare and surgical treatment is indicated if the sign of spinal cord compression is present. The lesion was removed by transoral approach and effective decompression was obtained. We reviewed the literatures and discussed the advantage and applications of transoral approach in detail.
