Isolated situs in versus of the stomach with otherwise normal position of the thoracic and abdominal vescera isan extremely rare anomaly occurring in two distinct forms. Majority of cases are associated with eventration of the diaphragm and are reported as being confused with spontaneous pneumothorax of pyopneumothorax at base of the right lung. The right sided stomach may produce interesting and confusing changes in liver scan. We have experienced 2 cases of the isolated dextrogastria.

Korean Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine 1989;1(2):197-205
In order In interpret the relationship among many variables, urinary mercury and at the same time mercury concentration in air were measured for 254 workers of a fluorescent lamp manufacturing factory. And monthly mercury consumption amounts, numbers of monthly producing fluorescent lamps, numbers of inferior lamps and numbers of breakage lamps, numbers of vacuum exhaustion pumps and frequencies of mercury infusion were also investigated from January 1988 to March in 1989. The results were as follows; 1. On the mercury concentration in air by producing line and by working site, all of them were exceed the threshold limit value (0.05mg/m(2)). 2. The highest mercury concentration in air by sampling point was found at the floor of workplace (0.334mg/m(2)) and next were at vacuum exhaustion pimp (0.183mg/m(2)), and breathing zone of workers (0.103mg/m(2)) in order. 3. The highest mean of the mercury concentration in urine by producing line was the automatic exhausting line (80.8microgram/1) and next were high speed exhausting line (72.4microgram/1), and Manual exhausting line (35.8microgram/1) in order. Distribution of workers of the mercury concentration in urine more than 200microgram/1 by working site was the highest (10%) in the vacuum exhaustion pump part and next were sealing part (6.6%), packing part (4.6%), and stem part (4.1%) in order. 4. The correlation coefficient between mercury concentration in urine and in air was the highest (0.302) and next were numbers of breakage lamps (0.223), frequencies of mercury infusion (0.223), numbers of inferior lamps (0.205) in order.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare high-resolution CT(HRCT) findings of asthmatic and control subjects, and to evaluate the relationship between HRCT findings and clinical features in asthmatic subjects. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Using HRCT, we studied 16 asthmatic and 16 control subjects. We analyzed the ratio of bronchial wall thickeness, the frequency of bronchial dilatation, the presence of emphysema, centrilobular nodule, and pulmonary infiltration in two groups. In addition, we assessed HRCT findings of asthmatic patients for correlation with clinical findings and the pulmonary function test. RESULTS: The ratio of bronchial wall thickness of 16 asthmatic subjects (0.48 +/-0.08) and 16 control subjects(0.40 +/-0.08) was significantly different in statistical analysis (P<0.001). Bronchial dilatation was seen in 53(32%) of 165 bronchi in the asthmatic group and in 16(13%) of 119 bronchi in the control group, which was statistically significant (p<0.01). Among 16 asthmatic patients, there were eight cases of emphysema, two of centrilobular nodule, and four of pulmonary infiltration. The ratio of bronchial wall thickeness of eight asthmatic subjects with emphysema(0.47 +/-.08) and eight such subjects without emphysema(0.49 +/-0.09) was not significantly different when statistically analysed. In asthmatic patients, HRCT findings did not correlate with clinical findings and the pulmonary function test. CONCLUSION: On high-resolution CT, the ratio of bronchial wall thickness and the frequency of bronchial dilatation between asthmatic and control subjects are significantly different.

Albendazole binds to parasite's tubulin inhibiting its glucose absorption. Its common adverse effects are nausea, vomiting, constipation, thirst, dizziness, headache, hair loss and pruritus. Although mainly metabolized in the liver, abnormal liver function tests were a rare adverse effect during clinical trials and we found no literature about albendazole-induced hepatitis requiring admission. This patient had a previous history of albendazole ingestion in 2002 resulting in increase of liver function tests. And in 2005, the episode repeated. We evaluated the patient for viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, and autoimmune hepatitis, but no other cause of hepatic injury could be found. Liver biopsy showed periportal steatosis and periportal necrosis. The initial abnormal liver function test improved only with supportive care. These findings and the Roussel Uclaf Causality Assessment Method of the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (RUCAM/CIOMS) score of 9 are compatible with drug-induced hepatitis so we report the case of this patient with a review of the literature.
