Mullerian adenosarcoma is a tumor composed of a mixture of glandular and stromal elements in which the glandular component appear to be neoplastic but, histologically, benign with the stromal component showing varying degrees of malingancy. We report a case of ovarian m llerian adenosarcoma with sex cord stroma differentiation in the stromal components. A 57 year-old female who presented with palpable mass in the right lower abdomen had undergone through salingo-oophorectomy. Grossly, the ovary was multicystic, and partly showed a solid appearance with multiple polypoid projections into the dilated cystic spaces. On microscopic examination, the tumor consisted of benign to borderline epithelial glands that were lined by variety of mullerian epithelia and sarcomatous component with sex cord-stromal elements, which include sertoliform tubules, Leydig cell like clusters, and granulosa cells.

Journal of the Korean Dietetic Association 2004;10(2):129-142
The food exchanges are frequently used to nutrition education and counseling for diabetes, weight control, hyperlipidema and etc. But it is difficult to find out food exchange lists with food exchange groups in the food composition table. This study was conducted to select e-food exchange of commonly used foods(456 foods) and improve search system based on internet. Also, the e-food exchange database was developed as having the proximate composition, mineral and vitamin content such as energy, moisture, protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash, calcium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, retinol equivalent, retinol, a-carotene, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, ascorbic acid, refuse per 100g of each food. The e-food exchange database developed is basically based on the 6th food composition table(2001) of the National Rural Living Science Institution in Rural Development Administration, Korea. The 456 commonly used foods or 2,262, all foods can be searched easily in a new system. A specific food of e-food exchange can be searched by a given set of food groups or food name and can give information about food one exchange lists, weight and nutrient value per 100g of each food user-friendly on internet. It can be used to make a nutritionally balanced meal plan, nutrition education and counseling.

Journal of the Korean Academy of Family Medicine 1997;18(7):714-721
BACKGROUND: Adolescent girls are interested in weight reduction, but effective and adequate education for weight reduction is not done in Korea. And so much information is accepted via mass media. We investigated body image perception, weight control activities and their side effects among adolescent girls. METHODS: We used questionnaire about body image and weight control activities of middle and high school girls in Seoul in Sep. 1995. RESULTS: 88.6% of girls were not satisfied with their own height and 85.1% of girls with their own weight. 66.3% underweight students(BMI<20kg/m2) thought they were too fat and 98% acceptable weight students(20kg/m2<_KBMI<25kg/m2) thought they were too fat. So most girls had body image disturbance. 42.4% of girls were trying to lose weight and 85.1% were trying to lose weight reason for attractiveness and 16.6% were trying to lose for health. Self reported weight reduction methods were exercise(31.6%), fasting(21.9%), diet(21.5%), monodiet(10.8 %), laxatives(2.3%), very low calorie diet(1.8%) etc. Students who tr ied to lose weight for attractiveness selected more undesirable methods than who tried to lose weight for health(P<0.01). Most common route is via magazine, TV and newspaper. 43.4% of girls who tried to lose weight experienced side effects after weight reduction, those were dizziness(71.3%), general weakness(51%), apathy(26.S%) etc. CONCLUSIONS: Most girls had body image distortions. Useless weight reduction activities were done or planned and most of information was accepted via mass media. It is important to educate the girls to get adequate body image and effective weight reduction program is needed for health in adolescent girls.

Journal of the Korean Dietetic Association 2003;9(2):159-171
The food composition tables are frequently used to health and nutrition practices. But it is difficult to find out food exchange lists with food exchange groups in the food composition table. Over 2500 items and many kinds of nutrients are in the food composition table. But now food exchange lists are used a few foods. The internet demands the users needs for obtaining more food exchange lists and nutrient information from food composition. This basic study is to solve the users need and the supply more efficient and effective manipulation system for e-food exchange database construction and search system:ENECC/e-food exchnage(E-Nutrition Education and Couseling Center/e-food exchange). This paper introduces the food exchange database construction and search system(ENECC/e-food exchange) using the formula which calculates the food exchange quantity of 6 food exchange groups and added one extra groups(alcohol) based on the internet. The ENECC/e-food exchange database is basically based on the 6th food composition table(2001) of the National Rural Living Science Institution in Rural Development Administration, Korea. The e-food exchange database are consisted of 2,261 foods in 6 basic food groups and one extra groups by using ENECC calculating formula. Also, the e-food exchange database has the proximate composition, mineral and vitamin content such as energy, moisture, protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash, calcium, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, retinol equivalent, retinol, a-carotene, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, ascorbic acid, refuse per 100g of each food. To calculate e-food exchange, ENECC/e-food exchange calculating formula was developed. The one food exchange weight and ENECC/e-food exchange weight were significantly correlated. It shows that the use of this formula is valuable and easily usable. A specific food of e-food exchange can be searched by a given set of food groups or food name and can get information about food one exchange lists, weight and nutrient value per 100g of each food user-friendly on internet. Journal of the Korean Surgical Society 2011;81(Suppl 1):S78-S81
Acute mobile thrombus of the abdominal aorta after chemotherapy is a very unusual finding, which can be a potential source of arterial embolism. We report here on a case of an acute mobile aortic thrombus with renal infarction. We successfully treated the patient with hybrid operation-open surgical and endovascular approach. Our case shows that hybrid treatment using wire-directed balloon catheter thrombectomy is a feasible, minimally-invasive treatment for a mobile aortic thrombus.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1979;14(1):21-25
It is well known that double contrast arthrography of the knee is a safe and technically simple procedure permitting accurate diagnosis of lesion of meniscus, especially tears. It has been utilized infrequently until recent years in our country. During the period of Oct. 1977 through Nov. 1978, double contrast arthrography of the knee had been performed in total of 52 cases with soft tissue injury of the knee and a total of 32 cases among them underwent the operation at the Armed Forces Taegu General Hospital. The arthrographic findings of the meniscus injury were presented and analyzed. The results were as follows: 1. Arthrography of the knee is a valuable diagnostic aid for meniscus injury. The diagnostic accuracy was 87.5 per cent for 32 cases. 2. In one case, tear of both menisci unsuspected on the basis of clinical examination were demonstrated one the arthrogram. 3. Arthrography revealed residual portion of the meniscus left after previous menisectomy in one patient. Reoperation resulted in cure. 4. Unnecessary surgery was reduced. 5. There were no complications of arthrography in thts series.

Journal of Korean Society of Endocrinology 1998;13(2):258-263
Aplastic anemia is characterized by a failure of blood cell production resulting in varying degrees of pancytopenia with a markedly hypocellular bone marrow. Most cases of aplastic anemia are acquired, but the disease may also occur as the result of inherited abnormalities. In 50-65% of cases, however, the etiology is unknown. For acquired forms of aplastic anemia, a variety of causative factors, including radiation, viruses, chemicals and drugs, have been implicated. Antithyroid drugs(Carbimazole, Methimazole, Propylthiouracil) are usually listed among agents associated with the development of agranulocytosis, but aplastic anemia rarely follows their use. The first case of aplastic anemia followmg propylthiouracil was reported by Marte~lo et al. in 1967 and the second case was by Aksoy and Erdem in 1968. Recently, we experienced two cases of aplastic anemia following propylthiouracil therapy due to Graves disease, so we report here these cases with literature review.
