Behavioral symptoms are frequent and problematic components of dementia. The aim of this study was to detect behavioral problem of the 25 item of dementia problem behaviour(DPB)assesment scale for demented older adults. Seventy-three patients with dementia staying in the day care center, group home, dementia hospital, nursing home were recruited data on problematic behavior obtained through interviews with their caregiver during 2 months from March to May 2004. Results shows that problematic behaviors common occurring in 95% of subjects. The most frequently exhibited problematic behaviors were repetitive movement(1.05), repetitive questions(1.03), restlessness(1.0). indifference(0.97). shouting/screaming(0.92). Problematic Behaviors of the demented older adults were closely associated to the distress for caregiver. Most distressful ones for caregivers were repetitive questions(1.46), repetitive movement(1.42), shouting/ screaming (1.42), indifference(1.41). restlessness(1.41). Problematic Behaviors of the demented older adults were divided into six subdivisions, among those restless behavior was positively correlated with aggressive behavior, nervous symptom and psychotic symptom. and then nervous symptom was interrelated to psychotic symptom(p<0.01). This study has limitation that field study data were derived from various primary caregivers.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1981;16(1):47-51
Diagnosis of the disorders following menlscectomy is occasionally difficult, as ther has frequently been involved many causes other than the torn menisci. The retained fragments of the menisci have been blamed to be responsible for postoperative knee disorders. Arthroscopic examination was carried out in 40 knees after meniscectomy and the frequency of retained posterior horn in relation to the postoperative trouble was observed. 1. In 11 out of total 40 knees, the retained posterior horn could be diagnosed, consisting of 27.5% of all. 2. Only flve of these 11 knees showed some kinds of postoperative disorders, while the reat had no trouble. 3. Those knees in which the excision of the posterior horn was incomplete, were often associated with Irregular healing pattern of the local tissue, which might be closely related to the occurrence of the secondary Intraarticular change.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1978;16(6):495-499
Atrophie blanche is a rare vasculitis reported by Milian in 1929, that is characterizel by small erythematous, telangiectatic purpura which developes central hemorragic curst or painful ulceration and heals with atrophic white scar several months later. It is seen more commonly in middle-aged women and become worse in summer. It manifests primarly on the lower legs, ankles and dorsa of the feet, rarely on the elbows and dorse of the hands, where are the areas of the poor blood circulation. This case was 45 year-old woman who had suffered from periodic painful ulceration on the legs, ankles, dorsa of feet k hands and. elbows for about 18 years. Histopathologic findings showed fibrinoid degeneration R partial occlusion in the capillaries and mild perivascular chronic inflammatory cells infiltration in the upper corium. The lesion was not so improved by systemic k local corticosteroid therapy for about 3 months,

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1998;36(5):844-849
BACKGROUND: After the development of the Q-switched lasers, it was possible to remove tattoos without causing scarring. Currently, Q-switched ruby lasers, Q-switched Nd: YAG lasers and Q-switched alexandrite lasers are used selectively to treat tattoos. The objective of this study was to determine the difference of effectiveness aceording to color, site and duration in removing tattoo pigments by the alexandrite laser. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 30 tattoos were treated with a Q-switched alexandrite laser(model IL-l, Candela Laser Corporation. Wayland. U.S.A.). Pretreatment evaluation included a clinical desrviption of the site, color, duration and photographs were taken. The effects were examined by fether photo graphs and telephone follow-up. The response was expressed as the percentage area cleared of the tattoo. The clearance was graded as follows: clear, >95%; excellent, 76-95%; good, 51-75%; fair, 26-50%; poor < 25%. The occurence of adverse events were also examined. RESULTS: 1""he results are summarized as follows: 1. Treatment with fluences that ranged from 6.0-8.0J/cm2 was given on average 1.7 times and better results were achived than expected in 80% of all patients with tattoo. 2. The effectiveness of laser therapy correlated with the number of treatments. 3. After 1 laser session, tattoos of black and darkblue showed better results than light blue in terms of color. 4. After 1 laser session, the sites of tattoos on upper extremitise showed better results than those of the eyebmw, eyeline and face. 5. Differences in duration after 1 laser session were not seen. 6. Hyperpigmentation in 2 cases and bulla formation in 1 case occurred and all complications had ceased after a few months. CONCLUSION: The alexandrite laser is an effective treatment for cosmetic, general and traumatic tattoos with a low incidence of significant adverse effects and provides excellent cosmetic results.

Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 1999;29(3):700-710
Promoting women's health lifestyles are important due to their connection to family health. The purpose of this study was to analyse women's health lifestyles(HLP) and their effects on women's life-cycle, so in order to develop a program in a women's health care center. The subjects included were 1080 women over 18 years old living in Wonju city, and were selected by stratified and purposive sampling. The data were collected through a questionnaire and interview. The Cronbach alpha, %, mean, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and regression in SPSS PC Win. package was used to analyze the data. The sample was sepernted into three groups premarital group 20.2%(premarital women between 18 and 40 years old), delivery and children rearing group 49.9%(marital women between 18 and 40 years old), over middle agedelderly group 29.9%(women over 41 years old). Significant difference were found in the HPL according to group. Also, relating variables, such as self-efficacy, family functions, health locus of control and gender role perception that were considered relating variables to HPL significantly differed among the tree groups. HLP significantly correlated with self-efficacy, family functions, HLOC and gender role perception in all participants and at all groups. The regression analysis of HPL was interpreted 40.6% with relating variables, self-efficacy, health attention, family functions, and internal locus of control, health perception, power other locus of control and chance locus of control in all participant. Self-efficacy, family functions, health attention were considered important variables in premarital group, self-efficacy, family functions, internal locus of control, health attention, health perception and power of control were important in delivery-rearing group. Self-efficacy, health attention, internal locus of control, family functions and health perception were important in middle aged-elderly group. As a result, we found the differences HPL scores and relating variables according to life-cycle groups. Therefore, we should prepare health promoting education programs for women according to women's life cycles. Also we suggest that women's health care centers based on communities was needed for proper management of women's health.

Korean Circulation Journal 1986;16(1):121-126
30 patients with essential hypertension were treated with diltiazem (Herben(R))significantly decreased both systolic and diastolic blood pressuer and heart rate. Mean decrease in systolic & diastolic blood pressuer were 38.0+/-4,5mmHg and 16.3+/-2.3 mmHg respectively and mean drop in heart rate was 17+/-2 beats/mm. The side effects of diltiazem (Herben(R)) were mild headache, fatigue and pruritus, but those were insignificant. Diliazem may be of benefit to hypertensive patients, and particularly useful when hypertension occurs in association with coronary artery disease.
