Castleman's disease(Giant lymph node hyperplasia) is a pathologic entity of unknown etilogy, as attested to bythe number of names it has received, lymphoid hamartoma, angiomatous hamartoma, and giant lymph node, etc.Although the mediastinum is its most common location, it also occures in other areas of the body, usually wherelymph nodes are normally found. Authors have been experienced 2 cases of histologically porven Castleman's diseaseduring recent 3 years in Kyung Hee University Hospital, and present its radiological and pathological findings asmediastinal mass.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1980;9(1):287-292
Authors report a rare case of arteriovenous malformation associated with porencephaly in left frontal lobe of a 35 years old man. Local brain atrophy is generally ascribed to local pressure effect by the vascular malformation or to localized circulatory disturbances, so as in this case.

Malignant Mixed Mullerian tumors(MMMTs) are unusual neoplasms occumng mostly in the uterus and, ralely, they arise in the ovary. The clinical features of malignant mixed mullerian tumor of the ovary are similiar to other ovarian malignancies. The clinical course is rapidly progressive and fatal. The optimal treatment modalities has remained elusive. The most reliable prognostic criterion is the initial tumor stage and the overall survival was poor. We experienced two cases of malignant mixed miillerian tumor of the ovary, so we report these cases with a brief review of the concerned literatures.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1978;7(2):447-452
Osteosarcoma is the most frequently encountered primary malignant tumor of the bone. But sarcoma of the skull are rare tumor to be observed even in an extensive neuropathological practice. We presents a case of skull neoplasm identified as osteosarcoma. A twelve year old male patient was admitted to our department because of the large palpable mass on the posterior parietal and occipital region with headache, nausea and vomiting. On admission moderate papilledema was noted in the both eyes. Other neurologic finding were within normal limits. Chest film and long bone series showed no evidence of abnormality. Skull films revealed a large round destructive area on the posterior parietal and occipital region and the right carotid angiogram revealed patch densities in the mass lesion which was supplied by the right occipital artery and possibly the right middle meningeal artery. Serum Alkaline Phosphatase was 14 BL Units. The findings on the pathology side was compatible with osteosarcoma.

Tumor of the trachea are uncommon. Trachea tumor are usually diagnosed late in their natural history, because the tracheal lumen may be extensively involved before symptoms occur, and because symptoms may be confused with those of asthma. Some 19% to 29% of the trachea tumor have laryngeal or lung malignancy. Squamous carcinoma is by far the most frequent among tracheal tumor, although adenocarcinoma and oat cell carcinoma have been described so. Oat cell carcinoma in the trachea are aggressive tumors as. they are in the lung and elsewhere. Oat cell carcinoma as well as squamous cell carcinoma are related with tobacco exposure. We presented a case of small cell carcinoma nearly obstructing the trachea and right main bronchus which was partially removed after bronchoscopic ethanol injection, along with a review of the literature.

This study includes 398 cases of cerebral contusion among 1137 cases of craniocerebral injury diagnosed by neurological finding and CT brain scan, who were admitted from January 1983 to June 1985 in our neurological department. 68 cases showed abnormalities on CT scanning, among these 48 cases were heterogenous hyperdensity with surrounding irregular marginated hypodensity, 26 cases midline shift, 13 cases local increased density, 9 cases recurrence of new lesion. The authors studied comparison and correlation of clinical course and CT finding of cerebral contusion.

Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases 1998;45(4):870-875
Actinomycosis is a bacterial infection that can affect virtually any site in the body. There are three major forms of actinomycosis: cervicofacial, abdominal and thoracic. Aspergillus spp. are ubiquitous in the environment in most countries of the world. Pulmonary aspergillosis is clinically classified by aspergilloma, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis and invasive aspergillosis. Actinomyces and Aspergillus, each of them was often reported in case, but mixed infection of both organisms have not kern reported. We experienced a case of mixed infection of Actinomyces and Aspergillus involving the same area of the lung in a 62 year-old housewife presented with hemoptysis and solitary pulmonary nodule. Percutaneous needle aspiration and later surgical resection revealed sulfur granule mixed with Aspergillus hyphae in the same lesion. We report this case with a review of the literature.
