A case of vesicorectal fistula, which occurred in 23 year-old male Korean soldier due to external violence was presented and literature was briefly reviewed.

A clinical observation of the bladder and urethral injuries was made in the army hospital from Jan. to Dec 1968. The results were obtained as follow; 1. The bladder and urethral injuries were 2.3% of all patients treated in the hospital in the last year. 2 The bladder and urethral injuries were 23 cases of the automobile accidents, excluding 3 cases of expulsive injuries and 2 cases of falling accidents 3. The bladder and urethral injuries associated with fracture of pelvic bone were 32.1%, especially 80% in the pubic ramus fracture. 4. The incidence of urethral injury was higher than bladder injury. 5. The complications were urethral stricture (80%). impotence and etc.

A 24-year-old Korean soldier was found to have horseshoe kidney with left ureter stone. The diagnosis was made radiographically. Considering the rarity of this disorder, we decided to report this case. According to the literature. horseshoe kidney was described by Berengeri da Carpi for the first time in 1552. After Allen, the ratio of incidence of the horseshoe kidney is approximately 0.25% of the general population. Its etiology, incidence, complication, diagnosis and treatment was discussed. Recent related literatures were reviewed.

Torsades de pointes associated with a prolonged QT interval is a life-threatening arrhythmia, which may be induced by any of the following: drugs, electrolyte imbalances, severe bradycardia and intracranial hemorrhage. Torsades de pointes is characterized by beat-to-beat variations in the QRS complexes in any ECG leads with rates of 200~250 per minute. Fluoroquinolones are widely used and well tolerated antibacterial agents. However, prolongation of the QT interval leads rarely to Torsades de pointes as a significant adverse effect. So, it should be used with caution in high-risk patients for developing Torsades de pointes. We report one case of 67-year old man with contact burns who experienced Torsades de pointes, which probably resulted from the use of levofloxacin, and no further episode occurred after its withdrawal.

T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL) is a rare mature post-thymic T-cell malignancy with infiltration to the blood, bone marrow, lymph node, liver, spleen and skin; this disease has a poor prognosis and an aggressive clinical course. We report here on a case of CD56+ T-PLL that was diagnosed by hematological examination, immunophenotyping and molecular studies including determining the TCL1 expression by using reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and direct sequencing of the RT-PCR product.
