Some of participants were exposed to dangerous environment such as domestic violence, and they need support system for help in difficult situations. Sometimes they felt happy by satisfying physiological, social, and self-esteem needs. They also showed a positive potential that they were matured more than peers through the experience of overcoming difficulties.

Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research 2018;24(2):137-146
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of nursing organization culture on resilience of new nurses. METHODS: Participants were 1,033 new nurses with careers of less than 12 months and who were from 43 general hospitals located in Seoul, Incheon, other metropolitan cities and provinces in Korea. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. RESULTS: Relation-oriented culture was scored highest for perception of organizational culture by new nurses (3.35), followed by hierarchy-oriented culture (3.19), innovation-oriented culture (3.12), and task-oriented culture (2.73). The score for resilience of the new nurses was 3.49, and the first subcategories were interpersonal relationship ability 3.66, self-positivity 3.45, and self-control ability 3.36. Relation-oriented culture (β=.30, p < .001) was the most significant factor influencing resilience of new nurses, followed by innovation-oriented culture (β=.14, p=.001), hierarchy-oriented culture (β=.12, p < .001), task-oriented culture (β=−.10, p=.003) in that order (R2(adj. R2)=.16, F=47.04, p < .001). CONCLUSION: Findings show that for improved resilience in new nurses it is necessary to develop relation-oriented culture to provide a cooperative work environment( friendly interpersonal relation and dialogue) for new nurses and to encourage involvement of these members in the hospital culture.

Journal of Korean Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing 2021;30(1):53-66
Purpose:
This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effects of gymnastics-based nursing intervention on stress, obesity, and mental health confidence in patients with chronic mental illness.
Methods:
The study utilized the non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design and recruited sixty patients with chronic mental illness who were registered at one of the two mental rehabilitation centers in D metropolitan city. Data were collected from May 2017 to August 2017. The experimental intervention was a gymnastics-based program developed by the main investigator based on Bandura’s self-efficacy theory. The program was administered twice a week for a total of 16 sessions.
Results:
This study showed that subjective stress responses (z=-3.47, p=.001), physiological stress responses (z=-2.90, p=.004), body weight (F=3.55, p=.032), abdominal circumference (t=-2.19, p=.032), and optimism in the mental health confidence domain (t=2.27, p=.027) were significantly different in the experimental group and control group. But, results showed that body fat percentage (F=0.91, p=.406) was not significantly different in the experimental group and control group.
Conclusion
The gymnastics-based nursing intervention was effective in reducing stress, body weight, and abdominal circumference, and improving optimism in the mental health confidence domain in patients with chronic mental illness.

Methods:
: Before program development, essential elements were derived from existing programs through a meeting between graduates and experts who participated in the program. After recruiting students to participate, the program was developed after a pre-meeting with the students about the components of the program. The program was on August 9th -13th , 2021. After the program, satisfaction surveys, in-depth interviews, and participant diaries were analyzed.
Results:
: Satisfaction of the global nursing competency promoting program was an average of 4.10±0.96 for the program application process and 4.36±0.84 for program effectiveness and 4.43±1.07 for the global mind. As a result of qualitative data analysis, 8 subject areas and 26 categories were derived. It was divided into program elements and students’ changes, four in each element. In the students’ changes elements, curiosity and fear before the program, active attitude and open mind through friends’ encouragement, curiosity arising from the same experience and different perspectives, and developing friendship from responsibility were included. In the program elements, the subject areas were pre-requisite element, conversation facilitating element, difficult element, and online program evaluation.
Conclusion
: Online global nursing competency promoting program needs to be change according to the purpose of the students. In addition, it is necessary to deviate from the existing standardized operating method and to identify and participate in the needs of the students in the long term.

Journal of Korean Clinical Nursing Research 2020;26(2):186-197
Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to develop a program for reinforcing the resilience of new nurses and relation-oriented organizational culture.
Methods
An Intervention Research (IR) model was used to develop a program. Literature review, focus group interviews with nurses and need surveys were conducted from August to December 2018. Based on the results of the investigation, the researcher developed the content of a program. The program was revised by nurse managers for the content validation. Results: According to the results of the need surveys, 58.8% of the participants thought relation-oriented culture was the most ideal, and 61.8% of the participants wanted to participate in a program for organizational culture improvement. In the focus group interview, not only new nurses but also wards and nursing organizations should be a target subject of the program. Reinforcement of resilience and relation (3R) program was developed as a one-year course, which includes a ‘mentor-mentee’ program and a ‘thanks’ program. Conclusion: It would contribute to improving the resilience of new nurses and creating a relation-oriented organizational culture by 3R program. The 3R program could play a role as expanded program from an existing pragmatic short-term training program for improving the competencies or communication skills of new nurses.

Journal of Korean Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing 2014;23(4):278-287
PURPOSE: The study was done to examine undergraduate student' suicidal ideation and to identify influences of individual characteristics including psychological resilience and self-control on suicidal ideation. METHODS: Data were collected from 400 students in 11 universities in D city from May 1 to June 30, 2011. Data were analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson' correlation using SPSS 19.0. RESULTS: Of the students, 11.3% reported suicidal ideation levels higher than average. Woman students and those with high career anxiety, perceived poor health condition and bad relationships showed higher points on suicidal ideation. Suicidal ideation was also negatively correlated with psychological resilience and self-control. CONCLUSION: Over 10.0% of students need careful attention on suicidal ideation, especially counselling service related to suicide prevention for students with poor health, high career anxiety, and bad relationships. Various programs should be developed to promote psychological resilience to improve health and relationships, as well as job guidance for students. It is also suggested the students' experiences be examined to determine how they overcame suicidal ideation.
