Hemangiopericycic maningioma is clinically and pathologically similar to peripheral Hemangiopericytoma and now tends to be terned as hemangiopericytoma of central nervous system. The authors studied 3 cases of hemangiopericytic meningioma obtained from 3 patients, 1 case of meningotheliomatous meningioma, angioblastic meningioma and transitional meningioma, and 2 cases of peripheral hemangiopericytoma, which had operated from November 1988 to May 1989 at the department of neurosurgery, Pusan Inje University Hospital. The authors analysed and compared the immunohistochemical finding and light microscopic apearance. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1) Classic maningioma (meningotheliomatous meningioma, transitional meningioma and angioblastic meningioma) shows reactivity to both EMA and vimentin. 2) Hemangiopercicytic meningioma and peripheral hemangiopericytoma are reactive only to vimentin, so the two tumors are suggested as same type of tumor. 3) One of 3 cases of hemangiopericytic meningioma shows whorling and interlacing bundles of spindle cells, the peculiar light microscopic features of transitional meningioma, suggesting transitional or mixed form of hemangiopericytic meningioma and transitional meningioma.

This survey was carried out to study the difference of nutrient intake, food behavior and health condition according to food intake diversity in the elderly(age 65 year over and 74 year under) in a local city. A diet survey with one day 24-recall method was used for 216 subjects(65 male & 151 female). Based on a food intake diversity examination, including an evaluation of KDDS(Korean's Dietary Diversity Score ; counts the number of food groups consumed daily from total five food groups(cereal, meat, vegetable, dairy, and oil groups)), Meal Balance(apply the KDDS at breakfast, lunch and dinner), and DVS(Dietary Variety Score ; total number of foods consumed), subjects were clustered according to food intake diversity. Food intake diversity patterns of male and female clusters were classified each into threes(Male-low group(24.6%), middle group(33.8%), and high group(41.5%)/Female low group(41.7%) middle group(37.1%), and high group(21.2%). The averages of KDDS, Meal Balance and DVS were 3.0, 7.5, 14.8 in the male middle group, and 4.5, 10.2, 25.7 in the male high group, 2.7, 6.3, 14.3 in the female low group, 4.0, 8.6, 18.0 in the female middle group, and 4.5, 10.5, 25.7 in the female high group respectively. The average dairy intake of nutrients below the RDA were energy, protein, Ca, Fe, Vitamin A, Vitamin B2 and niacin in the male low group, energy, protein, Ca, Fe, Vitamin A, Vitamin B2 in the male middle group and energy, Ca, Vitamin B2 in the male high group but a little. Also the female low group had intakes of all nutrients except Vitamin C, the middle group had intakes of energy, protein, Ca, Fe, Vitamin A, Vitamin B2, and the female high group had intakes of energy, Ca, Vitamin A below the RDA respectively. Food intake diversity increasing, nutrient intake, food behavior and health condition proved to be good. This study explored the usefulness of cluster analysis in identifying food intake diversity of three groups of the elderly in relation to their nutrient intake, food behavior and health conditions.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1995;36(5):855-867
Acetylcholine is one of the major neurotransmitters in visual system of rats. Cholinergic, serotonergic and gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA) ergic projections are known as modulators of visual processing. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of unilateral orbital enucleation on the amount of acetylcholine and its receptor bindings in dorsolateral geniculate body, superior colliculus and visual cortex of rats, and on motor activites. The amount of acetylcholine was measured by gas chromatography; whereas [3H]quinuclidinyl benzilate(QNB) bindings to muscarinic receptors were examined by autoradiography. Motor activity was measured by activity meter for 24 hours. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The amount of acetylcholine in superior colliculus significantly increased at 1 week after enucleation, but it decreased at 2 and 4 weeks after enucleation. In visual cortex, the amount of acetylcholine did not change at 1 week after enucleation, but it significantly decreased at 2 and 4 weeks after enucleation. 2. After enucleation, [3H]-QNB binding to muscarinic receptors gradually decreased over the 4 weeks in dorsolateral geniculate body, superior colliculus and visual cortex. 3. Locomotor activity of rats did not show any change at 1 week after enucleat ion, but it decreased at 2 and 4 weeks after enucleation. In conclusion, unilateral orbital enucleation resulted in a reduction in the amount of acetylcholine and muscarinic receptors in rat visual system, which was speculated to be a major cause of a decrease in physical activity.

Korean Journal of Community Nutrition 2002;7(2):245-256
This study was carried out to examine Koreans preference in mushrooms, their nutritional knowledge of mushrooms as a source of Vitamin D, and five characteristics of six dishes consisting of common dishes and mushroom dishes. The data were collected from 2,777 subjects in various age ranges by means of a survey questionnaire. Variables, such as age, gender, diet quality and the degree of interest in diet were significant factors considered in relation to preference of mushrooms. Adults ate mushrooms because of their healthfulness, but this attibute was not a factor among adolescent students. The level of nutritional knowledge was relatively low and the ratio of "do not know" responses was higher than the ratio of "yes" or "no" . Generally, housewives, elementary school children and those who were healthy, ate floods because of health consciousness, and those who preferred mushrooms had better dietary habits. The characteristics of mushroom dishes, both as main and side dishes, had much more correlation with the factors considered for the subjects than the common dishes and one dish meals, respectively. Dietary altitudes, such as mushroom preference, frequency of mushroom intake and level of nutritional knowledge, were strongly correlated with the characteristics of the six dishes. It has been shown that mushroom dishes were recognized as nutritional, rather than delicious.

Korean Journal of Clinical Microbiology 2000;3(1):62-68
BACKGROUND: Direct wet mount examination of vaginal secretion, widely applied for the diagnosis of Trichomonas vaginalis infection in woman patients, is rapid and economical. However, the sensitivity of this technique is not so high. In this study enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was employed for the detection of serum anti-T. vaginalis IgG antibodies from vaginal trichomoniasis patients. METHODS: Eighty sera from trichomonoasis patients who visited a Dr. Yoon Kyong's Obstetric & Gynecologic Clinic in Songnam and 30 non-infected healthy men were tested for detection of anti-T. vaginalis IgG antibody. Soluble lysate and excretory-secretory antigen prepared by mixing of six isolates of T. vaginalis, and lysate from one isolate(KT4) were used as antigen for ELISA. RESULTS: The sensitivity of ELISA using lysate of six isolates was 95.0%, and the sensitivity of the lysate from KT4 and mixed excretory-secretory antigen from 6 isolates were 86.4% and 76.3%, respectively. Specificities of ELISA by three 93.3%, 96.3% and 92.0%, respectively. CONCLUSION: It is suggested that ELISA using mixed lysate of T. vaginalis six isolates could be useful tools for the diagnosis of trichomoniasis.

Korean Journal of Pathology 1986;20(1):112-115
Stomach of 34 year old man showed an early stage of the cancer with slight involvement of the superficial part of the inner muscle layer and accompanied with one metastatic lymph node. The cancer is that of medium differentiated adenocarcinoma. There is an heavy infiltration of lymphocytes mixed with histiocytic mononuclear cells and multinucleated giant cells. Some giant cells appear as Langhans' type suggesting phagocytic cells of their origin containing PAS positive materials in the cytoplasma. In other places, they appear as atrophic cancer nests suggesting that these tumor nests were arrested and undergone to regressive cellular process because of the over-whelming immunological pressure by the host.

10.The Mediating Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior between Organizational Justice and Organizational Effectiveness in Nursing Organizations.
Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2009;39(2):229-236
PURPOSE: This study was a secondary analysis to verify the mediating role of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) between organizational justice (OJ) and organizational effectiveness (OE) in nursing organizations. METHODS: The RN-BSNs and their colleagues in Seoul and Busan were subjects. The data was collected for 20 days between September 13 and October 2, 2004. Two hundred eighty three data sets were used for the final analysis. The fitness of models were tested using AMOS 5. RESULTS: The fitness of hypothetical model was moderate. Procedural Justice (PJ), Interaction Justice (IJ) and Distributive Justice (DJ) had direct effects on Job Satisfaction (JS), Organizational Commitment (OC) and Turnover Intention (TI) in OE, and indirect effects on JS, OC and TI mediated by OCB. The modified model improved with ideal fitness showed the causal relations among OE. In modified model, PJ, IJ and DJ had direct positive effects on OCB and JS and OC in OE, and indirect effects on JS and OC mediated by OCB. JS and OC in OE had a direct negative effect on TI. CONCLUSION: OCB mediated the relationship between OJ and OE, so the nursing managers should enhance OCB of the nurses in order to improve OE.
