Objective To investigate the clinical value of homocysteine (Hcy) ,cystatin C (Cys C) and high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein (hs‐CRP) in atherosclerosis (AS) .Methods Totally 100 cases of newly diagnosed patients of AS were choosed as the ob‐servation group ,36 cases condition improved markedly of AS after treatment as the treatment group ,and 120 cases of normal medi‐cal groups as the control group ,the Hcy ,Cys C and hs‐CRP in all subjects were detected respectively .Results Hcy ,Cys C and hs‐CRP levels of observation group were significantly higher than those of normal groups ,and the difference was statistically signifi‐cant (P< 0 .05) .While the Cys C and hs‐CRP levels of treatment group were significantly lower than the those of observation group ,the difference was also statistically significant (P< 0 .05) .Conclusion The detection of Serum Hcy ,Cys C and hs‐CRP might be help to the diagnosis ,treatment evaluation and prognosis of AS .

BACKGROUND:Percutaneous vertebraplasty is a new means for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures and bone metastases. The multiplaner reconstruction with digital substraction angiography (DSA)-Innova 3D plays an important role in guiding the percutaneous vertebraplasty puncture, which can effectively prevent the leakage of bone cement. OBJECTIVE:To explore the value of DSA-Innova 3D in the guidance of puncture of percutaneous vertebroplasty. METHODS:From March 2014 to September 2014, a total of 72 patients with 94 vertebras were selected for percutaneous vertebraplasty, of whom 36 (48 vertebras) with Innova 3D (experimentalgroup) and 36 (46 vertebras) without Innova 3D (control group). Spiral CT scan was performed in al patients to assess the distribution of bone cement. The imaging quality in the two groups was compared by Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:CT showed bone cement leakage occurred in 7 of the 36 patients in the control group. Leakages were into the lumber disc in two cases, paravertebral space in two cases, vertebral pedicle in onecase or veins in two cases. However, only one case of bone cement leakage was observed in the experimental group. With the guidance of DSA-Innova 3D, the experimental group had signficantly lower leakage and fluoroscopic time than the control group (P < 0.05). The multiplaner reconstruction with DSA-Innova 3D plays an important role in guiding the percutaneous vertebraplasty puncture, thereby effectively reducing the leakage of bone cement.

Objective To investigate effect of alendronate on prevention of aseptic loosening prothesis.Method Twelve beagles which had been implanted a titanium plug in femur were divided into two groups randomly,one received alendronate,and the other placebo as control.After 12 weeks,all beagles were sacrificed.specimens of femur were studied by biomechanical test.Independent sample t test was used for statistical analyses.Results The pull-out strength of the experimental group was higher than that of the control (P ＜ 0.05),and the torsion strength was also higher in the experimental group(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The therapy of alendronate can change the bone strength,inhibit aseptic loosening of prosthesis in beagle and could be a good drug for the prevention and treatment of aseptic loosening prothesis.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the detect method of neopterin(Npt) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and discuss the application of Npt in the viral encephalitis.METHODS The Npt was detected by ELISA.The methodology was investigated by sensitivity,precision,rate of recovery,interference and reference value.The npt was detected by ELISA assay in peripheral blood of 50 healthy people,30 cases of cerebrospinal fluid in children with viral encephalitis and 12 cases of cerebrospinal fluid in the control group.RESULTS In this method,within-run CVs were 4.94% and 5.55%;between-run CVs were 5.99% and 6.57%.The sensitivity was 1.08 nmol/L;the rate of recovery was 95.8-107.8%.Various indexes of the methodology coincided with the requirements of clinical laboratory.The reference value of serum Npt was 0-7.84 nmol/L.The Npt of cerebrospinal fluid was(34.09 ? 36.34) nmol/L in the viral encephalitis group,and(4.55 ? 2.89)nmol/L in the control group,and the Npt of cerebrospinal fluid in patient was significantly higher than that in control group(P

Objective To observe the effect of RNAi that silences MTA1 gene on invasion and migration of esophageal carcinoma 9706 cells. Methods The siRNA expression vector that silences MTA1 gene was transfected into EC9706 cells by liposome. MTA1 mRNA and protein expressions were detected through quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. The invasion and migration of EC9706 cells were evaluated by scrape wound healing assay and cell invasion assay in vitro. Results MTA1 gene expression significantly decreased. Objective To study spiral CT features and pathological basis of nodular goiter ,so that to improve the diagnostic accuracy of nodular goiter.Methods CT findings in 34 patients with nodular goiter confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed and compared with pathological findings. Results Thyroid density in the patients with NG was lower than that in the normal. There was no statistically significant difference in the density between single and multi-NG. Most lesions(28/34) were multiple, round or oval, with different size and smooth edges. The density of majority lesions was lower than nearby normal tissue. Most lesions (27/34) were uniform in density. Central necrosis(5/34)often appeared in the bigger lesions(diameter＞3.0 cm). The CT value of the lesions was increased (47.1±42.2) HU after enhancement,but lower than surrounding thyroid tissue. Calcifications in the lesions(6/34)were puncticular,plaque or crustiform. Single or multiple cystic-solid or solid nodules could be seen in pathology, without a continuous capsule in the majority. Some patients (5/13) with single NG shown on imaging study were multi-NG in the pathology. Three cases of diffuse NG showed by CT were malignant in pathology. Conclusion There are certain characteristics for NG on spiral CT. Comprehensive evaluation may improve the accuracy of CT diagnosis.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of phloroglucinol in treatment of abdominal pain caused by acute gastroenteritis.Three hundred patients with acute abdominal pain were randomly assigned to receive 80 mg intravenous infusion of phloroglucinol injection ( treatment group,n =150 ) or 10 mg anisodamine injection (control group,n =150).The pain intensity was estimated by the VAS scores before and after the injection,meanwhile adverse reactions were also recorded.The results showed that the pain intensity was relieved significantly after 1h of the injection in both groups(P ＜0.01).The effective rate of phloroglucinol was 84.1％ (126/150),while that of anisodamine was 80.0％ (120/150).The adverse reactions of treatment group were lower than that of control group( all P ＜0.01).The results indicate that phloroglucinol can effectively relieve abdominal pain caused by acute gastroenteritis with safety.

Objective To investigate cerebral hemodynamic changes in patients with unilateral stenosis of carotid artery by using CTP and CTA,and to analyze the dependability of the degree of artery stenosis and cerebral hemodynamic changes.Methods Fifty patients with unilateral stenosis of carotid artery underwent toshiba aquilion one CTP and CTA.The patients were divided into mod-erate stenosis group,severe stenosis group and occlusion group according to the NASCET criteria.The rCBF,rCBV,rMTT and rTTP were measured ,and compared between stenosis and contralateral hemispheres ,and the dependability were analyzed between the de-gree of unilateral carotid artery stenosis and relative perfusion parameters by using ranking-test.Results (1)There were 20 cases of unilateral carotid artery occlusion,13 severe stenosis,1 7 moderate stenosis.(2 )No statistical significance on rCBF and rCBV was found among the three stenotic groups (P>0.05).There were statistical significances on rMTT and rTTP among the three stenotic groups(P<0.05).(3)There were statistically no correlations between the values of rCBV,rCBF and the degree of artery stenosis.There were statistically positive correlations between the values of rMTT,rTTP and the degree of artery stenosis with the pearson correlations 0.512 and 0.708. Conclusion rMTT and rTTP are more sensitive parameters for evaluation of cerebral hemodynamics and dependability of carotid ar-tery stenosis on the CTP and CTA.These have an important value to guide the clinical treatment.

Objective To investigate the effects of Pinella's ingredients on the viability of cells, morphology, microstructure, cell cycle and apoptosis in human cervical cancer cell lines. Methods The β-sitosterol and/or total protein of Pinella were incubated at different concentrations with cervical cancer cell line SiHa. The effects of β-sitosterol and/or total protein of Pinella on the viability of cells were tested by MTT assay. The effects of β-sitosterol on morphology, microstructure, cell cycle and apoptosis were studied by phase-contrast microscope, electron microscope and flowcytometry, respectively. Results β-sitosterol could obviously inhibit the viability of SiHa cells in a time-and dose-dependent manner. The total protein of Pinella had no effects on SiHa cells' viability. 20 μmol/L β-sitosterol induced the accumulation of SiHa cells in S phase in the cell cycle. And the percents of apoptosis and necrosis increased. The morphology and microstructure of SiHa cells changed significantly after treated with 20 μmol/L β-sitosterol. Conclusions The total protein of Pinella had little influence on the viability of cervical cancer cells SiHa. The viability of SiHa cells could be suppressed by β-sitosterol. β-sitosterol could induce the accumulation of cells in S phase and the percent of apoptosis and necrosis. The morphology and microstructure changed significantly after treated with β-sitosterol. Therefore, β-sitosterol might be a prospect safe and low toxicity anti-cervical cancer drug.

This study aimed at investigating the effects of the extract of Chinese herb,Nansheteng (C.orbiculatus Thunb.),on human HepG2 cells through the overexpression of mTOR.The GV238-mTOR recombinant plasmids were transfected into HepG2 cells using molecular biological technology.The expression level of mTOR was evaluated by means of relative activity of luciferase and western blot.Human hepatic carcinoma HepG2/mTOR++ cells were treated with C.orbiculatus extract in different concentrations (20,40,80,160 and 320 tg·mL-1) for 24 h.The mTOR protein expression was detected by western blot.It was found that the protein expression of mTOR in transfected HepG2 cells was significantly enhanced.C.orbiculatus extract significantly inhibited the proliferation of HepG2/mTOR++ cells.Simultaneously,C.orbiculatus extract inhibited mTOR at its protein level in a dose-dependent manner.In conclusion,we successfully constructed recombinant mTOR cloning vectors,and established the stable HepG2 cell line with the overexpression of mTOR.Besides,C.orbiculatus extract significantly inhibited mTOR protein expression in human hepatic carcinoma HepG2 cells.
