Objective: To study the effect of phytic acid (PHA) on 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) induced colorectal carcinogenesis in rats. Methods: Thirty four weeks old healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups,control group given basal diet and PHA group given basal diet plus 2% sodium phytate solution. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of levocarnitine on peripheral blood T cell subsets and inflammatory factors in diabetic patients underwent peritoneal dialysis. METHODS:A total of 100 diabetic patients underwent peritoneal dialysis in se-lected as research objects were divided into conventional therapy group and levocarnitine group according to random number table, with 50 cases in each group. Conventional therapy group received peritoneal dialysis and conventional therapy. Levocarnitine group was additionally given levocarnitine 1.0 g added into 0.9% Sodium chloride injection 20 mL intravenously,3 times a week,on the basis of conventional therapy group for 12 weeks. CD3+,CD4+,the proportion of Th1 and Th2,the contents of TNF-α,INF-γ, IL-10 and IL-4 in supernatant were all detected before and after treatment. The expression of T-bet and GATA-3 were compared be-tween 2 groups. RESULTS:After treatment,CD3+,CD4+,Th2 cells,GATA-3 expression and IL-10,IL-4 levels were significantly increased,the expression of Th1 cells,T-bet content and TNF-αand INF-γwere significantly reduced,and levcarnitine group was sig-nificantly better than conrentional therapy group,with statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Levocarnitine can im-prove inflammatory reaction and the expression of related transcription factors by promoting T cell subsets and Th1/Th2 cell subsets.

Objective To synthetically evaluate the relationship between miR-31 and the prognosis of carcinoma and to investi-gate its related mechanism.Methods The correlative literatures of tumor prognosis were retrieved from the electronic databases PubMed,EMBASE and ISI Web of Science.The pooled hazard ratios (HRs)and 95% confidence interval(95%CI )were extracted. The prognostic data were performed the synthesis analysis.Results A total of 7 trials conformed to the inclusion criteria including accumulated 2 012 cases of carcinoma.Meta-analysis revealed that the decrease of miR-31 expression in the tumor patients had the poor prognosis (HR=0.784,95%CI :0.630-0.974);in the subgroup analysis,the synthesis results adopting the multivariable a-nalysis and China subjects were 3.512 (95%CI :1.797-6.865)and 1.574 (95%CI :1.062-2.333),which indicating that the in-crease of miR-31 expression predicted the poor prognosis;miR-31 had no statistical significance in the digestive system (P >0.05). Conclusion The prognostic role of miR-31 may possess the histological and regional specificity and has the potential as a novel marker.

ObjectiveTo explore relationship between psychological resilience and life events of Tibetan nursing students receiving free vocational nursing education.Method The questionnaire of Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)and ASLEC were used in the survey among 120 nursing students to investigate the psychological resilience and life events and SPSS 17.0 was used to look into the correlations between them.Results The scores on psychological resilience of Tibetan nursing students was higher than the norm (P<0.05).There were negative correlations between life events and psychological resilience(P<0.05).Their psychological resilience was positively related to personal relations and health conditions(P<0.05)but negatively to learning pressure,punishment and losses (P<0.05).Conclusion The school and hospital should make teaching measures to psychologically support them in daily life to strengthen the abilities to handle failure and adjust to the society.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of operation for fronto - temporal severe contrecoup injury. Methods 39 patients of severe contrecoup injury got microsurgery through modified pterional approach. The range of bone decompression was judged in light of the pathology on operation. Results According to GOS, of 39 cases, there were better in 16 cases (41%) , moderate main in 8 eases (20.5%) , severe main in 6 cases (15.4%) , vegetarian in 2 cases (5.1%) and death in 7 cases (17.9%) . Conclusion Microsur-gory through modified pterional - approach is effective for fronto - temporal severe contreeoup injury with extensive exposure, big bone window, clear view of operation, sufficient decompression and perfect hemostasia. And this method can reduce mortality rate, decreasehandicapped rate and enhance survival rate.

This study aimed at verifying a previous patented fraud detection method of propolis.In accordance with the patented process,the chromatographic separation was achieved on a Kromasil 100-5C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 tm) as mobile phrase A was methanol and mobile phrase B was water (0.5％ phosphoric acid) at the flow rate of 1 mL· min-1 for gradient elution.The detection wave length was 296 nm.Fraudpropolin A was taken as the reference,while the known sources of natural propolis were determined by HPLC.As a result,no fraudpropolin A was detected in the 134 sources of natural propolis at different types or from various origins.It was concluded that the patented process was sound in the fraud detection method of propolis.

Objective serous endotoxin(ET) were measured to determine the relationship between serous endotoxin and differ‐ent type of intestinal obstruction in children .Methods 25 inguinal hernia patients and 43 intestinal obstruction patients were classi‐fied into control group(n=25) ,incomplete intestinal obstruction (n=20) and complete intestinal obstruction group without necrosis of intestine (n=23) according to degree of obstruction .Serous endotoxin were measured in different time (the day of admission ,one day after admission or ,preoperation and one day postoperation ) ,and t test is used to determine the difference between them . Results ET in different group was(6 .53 ± 14 .96) ,(4 .40 ± 1 .15) ,(4 .20 ± 1 .20) ,(4 .09 ± 1 .31) ,(3 .70 ± 1 .46)EU/mL ,respec‐tively .There were no difference between each group .Conclusion ET examination suggests there is no difference between different type of intestinal obstruction in children and endotoxemia is not found in intestinal obstruction according to the results .

Objective To investigate the correlation of bone mineral density (BMD) with plasma Klotho levels and its related factors in type 2 diabetic patients (T2DM) . Methods BMD was measured by Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) in 159 T2DM patients. The patients were divided into three groups:normal bone mass, reduced bone mass and osteoporosis. The fasting plasma levels of Klotho were detected in these patients using enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA), clinical and biochemical parameters also were tested, the difference and related factors were compared and analyzed in each group. Results Plasma Klotho levels were not significantly different among the three groups (4.95±0.48 vs 4.96±0.47 vs 4.91±0.49,P>0.05) . BMD at the first, second, third, fourth and total lumbar spine, femoral neck, trochanter and total body were not associated with plasma Klotho levels in these patients (P>0.05) . Age, diabetic duration, HDL-C and BMI were independent determinants for BMD in T2DM patients. Conclusions BMD might be not associated with plasma Klotho level in T2DM patients. But age,diabetic duration,HDL-C and BMI are associated with reduced BMD and osteoporosis in T2DM patients.

Objective:To study and promote the quality standard for Shuangbai Quyu powder. Methods:A microscopic identifi-cation method was performed to identify Phellodendri amurensis cortex, Rhei radix et rhizoma, Platycladi cacumen and Andrographis herba. TLC was performed to identify Phellodendri amurensis cortex, Andrographis herba and Rhei radix et rhizoma. HPLC was used to determine the content of berberine hydrochloride in Phellodendri amurensis cortex. and the lower limit was determined. Results: The microscopic identification method was simple. The spots in TLC were distinct without any interference from the negative coutrol. Ber-berine hydrochloride had a good linear range of 0. 010-0. 400 μg(r=0. 999 9). The average recovery was 99. 51%, and RSD was 0. 31% (n=6). Conclusion:The method can be used for the quality control of Shuangbai Quyu powder effectively,which is beneficial to the quality standard promotion of hospital preparations.

To study the expression of HCV non-structure 5 antigen in vitro, a human HepG2 cell line was incubated with a HCV RNA positive serum. The S ABC i mmunological techniques and gold-labeled colloid electron microscopy method wer e employed to examine for the viral proteins in those cells. The HCV non-struct ure 5 antigen was first detected in the HepG2 cells at 72 hours post incubation. The antigen was continuously observed in the cytoplasm or on the membrane as we ll on the cell wall of the HepG2 cells even after 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks post incub ation. The observation of HCV non-structure 5 antigen continuously expressed in the HepG2 cells strongly indicates that the cells may have been infected by HCV virus and the virus may have replicated in the cells. Therefore, the HepG2 cell line may be served as a potential host for establishment of HCV infection and p ropagation in vitro.
