1.The effect of 131 I in the treatment of Graves thyrotoxicosis after long-term use of anti-thyroid drug

Objective To compare the effects of Graves thyrotoxicosis patients treated by long-term use of anti-thyroid drug ( ATD) and without long-term use of ATD ,and to explore the application value and safety of ATD be-fore 131 I treatment.Methods 62 cases with Graves hyperthyroidism were divided into the two groups according to whether received the long-term ATD treatment.The curative effects,hormone level and safety were compared.Results The success rate of ATD group was 43.75%, the success rate of without ATD treatment group was 56.67%, the difference between the two groups had statistical significance (Ridit=15.152,P=0.000).The thyroid mass,FT3, FT4 ,TSH levels after treatment between two groups had no significant differences , but the difference of the highest iodine uptake rate in 24h had significant difference (t =6.954,P<0.05).The adverse reactions in ATD treated group and ATD untreated group were 7 cases(21.88%) and 3 cases(10.00%),there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(χ2 =4.563,P=0.032).Conclusion Long-term ATD therapy before 131I treatment can reduce the highest iodine uptake rate in 24h,reduce the clinical curative effect and increase adverse reaction rate .
2.A Meta analysis on clinical therapeutic effects of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for treatment of patients with acute heart failure

Objective To systemically evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of combined traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine for treatment of acute heart failure by Meta analysis. Methods The America National Library PubMed and China Biomedical Literature Data System (SinoMed), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP Data Resource, Wanfang Data Resource, Chinese TCM Database Retrieval System were searched from 1990 to May 2014 to identify the formally published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in which the effects of combined TCM and western medicine (experiment group) or simple western medicine (control group) for treatment of patients with acute heart failure were reported. The Cochrane system 4.2.2 quality evaluation standard in Evaluation Handbook was applied to assess the methodological quality of literature. The Cochrane Collaboration's RevMan 5.2 software was used to seek the literatures consistent to the criteria of enrolling into the study for Meta analysis. Results There were 18 RCTs, and all together 1 374 cases were included in the data. The grade of methodological quality of the enrolled studies was of high migration. Meta analysis showed: compared with the control group, the clinical efficacy in experimental group was significantly higher [odds ratio (OR) = 5.04, 95% confidence interval (95%CI): 3.31 - 7.69, P < 0.000 01]; the level of type B natriuretic peptide (BNP) was significantly reduced [standardized mean difference (SMD) = -1.31, 95%CI: -1.78 to -0.83, P<0.000 01];left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was significantly increased (SMD=0.79, 95%CI:0.52-1.07, P < 0.000 01); the therapeutic effect on TCM syndrome was significantly elevated [categorical variables: relative risk (RR) = 1.30, 95%CI: 1.06 - 1.59, P = 0.01; quantitative variables: mean difference (MD) = -1.67, 95%CI: -2.48 to-0.86, P<0.000 1] and cardiac diastolic function was significantly improved (SMD=0.64, 95%CI:0.05-1.24, P<0.05). Conclusions The clinical therapeutic effects of combined TCM and western medicine are significantly higher than those of simple western medicine for treatment of patients with acute heart failure. However, the low quality of the reports involved in this study limits the reliability of this conclusion.
3.Optimal Beam Tube Potential for the CsI/a:Si Flat Panel Digital Chest Radiography:Whether High KV Technique Still Suitable for Digital Equipment

Objective To investigate the optimal beam tube potential for amorphous silicon/cesium iodide flat panel digital chest radiography(indirect DR). Methods(1)60 healthy adults were undergone digital posteroanterior(PA) chest radiography at 80,100,150 kV respectively.The images quality of these three were compared by 5 independent observers.Several normal anatomy parts of the chest and the overall impression of the images were evaluated;(2)PA chest exposures of the anthropomorphic chest phantom to produce a constant ESDs(entrance skin doses) and exit dose were made using tube potential at 80,100,120,150 kV.The simulated chest nodules were scored. Results The quality of the adult chest radiography and the manifestation of the simulated chest nodules were superior at the lower tube voltages.The contrast of the images were best at 80 kV,while the appearance of the images look like that of the low potential radiography. Conclusion The optimal tube potential for chest DR is considered to be 80~100 kVp,while the high KV technique is no longer suitable for digital equipment.
4.Areola incision combined with intraoperative B-ultrasound guided treatment in multiple breast fibroadenoma surgery for 152 cases

Objective To explore the surgery methods for multiple fibroadenoma of breast,provide a ref erence for the surgical treatment of breast multiple fibroadenoma.Methods The clinical data of 152 cases of breast multiple fibmadenoma admitted from January 2008 to October 2012 in Department of Breast Surgery,Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University were analyzed retrospectively.All the cases were applied intraoperative B-ultrasound guided,taken the areola incision through breast subcutaneous layer approach for resection of multiple breast fibroadenoma.The surgical incision design,surgical procedures and results of operations were analyzed.Results All 152 cases fibroadenoma were resected which were guided by B-ultrasound with areola incision.One month and three months after operation,the assessment of physician-patient for the scars were different.There was no significance in the Pearson Correlations which were 0.894 (P =0.106) and 0.905 (P =0.065),respectively.But twelve months later,it satisfied with the appearance of scar,either the patients or the doctors (P < 0.05).The Pearson Correlation was 0.946 (P <0.001).Conclusions B-ultrasound guided areola incision through the breast subcutaneous layer approach could removal multiple breast fibroadenoma at one time,patients were satisfacted with the good cosmetic results,we believe this operation method has short operation time and good clinical value.
5.Effect of cysteine-rich protein 61 on oxidative stress in human kidney tubular epithelial cell line after anoxia

Objective To investigate the effect and mechanism of cysteine-rich protein 61 (Cyr61) on oxidative stress in human kidney tubular epithelial cell line after anoxia.Methods Human kidney tubular epithelial cell line (HK-2 cells) were divided into 5 groups:control group,Cyr61 group,MAPK inhibitor group (Cyr61 +PD98059),p38 inhibitor group (Cyr61 +SB203580) and PI3K inhibitor group (Cyr61+Wortmannin).Each group was pretreated for 12 h and then injured by anoxia.The cell viability was determined by MTT assay and the apoptosis rate of HK-2 cells was determined by flow-cytometry.The cellular ROS level was measured by spectro-fluorometry.The cellular superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) were measured by nephelometry test.The expression of Nrf2 in HK-2 cells was detected by Western blotting.Results Anoxia enhanced the expression of ROS and Nrf2,decreased the expression of SOD and CAT significantly,meanwhile decreased HK-2 viability and increased HK-2 apoptosis (all P < 0.05).Cyr61 increased the expression of p-Akt,Nrf2,SOD and CAT in HK-2,and decreased the expression of ROS,at the same time increased HK-2 viability and decreased HK-2 apoptosis (all P < 0.05).Wortmannin inhibited the expression of p-Akt,Nrf2,SOD and CAT,meanwhile decreased HK-2 viability and increased HK-2 apoptosis (P < 0.05).PD98059 and SB203580 had no affect on HK-2 compared to Cyr61 group (P>0.05).Conclusions Cyr61 promotes the expression of Nrf2 through PI3K pathway in HK-2,which enhances the expression of SOD and CAT,and decreases the expression of ROS.Cyr61 exhibits protective effects on HK-2 cells injured by oxidative stress after anoxia.
6.Effects of HMG supplementation in the middle and late follicle phases on the outcome of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer

Objective To explore the effects of human menopausal gonadotropopin(HMG) supplementation on the outcome of women underwent in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET) .Methods The data of 406 IVF-ET cycles in Reproductive Medi-cine Center of the 105th Hospital of PLA were analyzed retrospectively .All cases underwent long down regulation protocol with gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist(GnRH-a) in the mid-luteal phase and controlled ovarian stimulation(COS) was carried out with follicle stimulation hormone(r-FSH) on the days 3 -5 of the menstrual cycle .Then 75 -150 U HMG was administrated in group A(257 cycles) when a dominant follicle reached a diameter of 14 mm ,while the remaining cases(149 cycles) underwent HCG still with r-FSH were served as group B .Based on the LH levels on the day of HMG administration ,the cases in group A were sub-divided into :group A1(99 cycles) ,LH<1 U/L ;group A2(96 cycles) ,1 U/L≤LH≤2 U/L ,and group A3(62 cycles) ,LH>2 U/L .Clinical outcomes of all groups were analyzed and compared .Results The durations and doses of gonadotropin(Gn) ,the rates of fertilization and pregnancy were higher and the abortion rate was lower in group A than that in group B (P<0 .05) .There were no significant difference in serum LH concentrations on the days of HMG and HCG administration ,oocytes retrieved ,the rates of cleavage and embryo implantation between group A and group B(P>0 .05) .There was significant difference in serum LH levels on the day of HMG supplementation among group A1 ,A2 and A3(P<0 .05) and the doses of HMG supplemented reduced gradually from group A1 to group A3(P<0 .05) .The duration of Gn was significantly lower and the fertilization rate was significantly higher in group A3 compared with group A1 and A2(P<0 .05) .The pregnancy rate in group A2 and A3 was higher than that in group A1 ,which showed significant difference between group A2 and A1(P<0 .05) .Meanwhile ,there were no significant difference in doses of r-FSH ,serum LH concentrations on the day of HCG administration ,oocytes retrieved ,the rates of cleavage ,implantation and abortion among the three groups(P>0 .05) .Conclusion HMG supplementation in the middle and late follicle phases in stand-ard long down-regulation protocol during IVF could obtain higher pregnancy rate and lower abortion rate ,especially when their ser-um LH level was between 1 U/L and 2 U/L without obvious increase of LH .
7.Correlation between IL-23R gene polymorphisms and susceptibility of ankylo-sing spondylitis

Objective:To investigate the correlation between single nucleotide polymorphism ( SNP ) of rs7517847 and rs10489629 on IL-23R gene and susceptibility of ankylosing spondylitis in Jilin.Methods:IL-23R gene polymorphisms of 188 cases on ankylosing spondylitis were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism ( PCR-RFLP ) , compared with those of 100 cases of healthy control group.Results:The frequency distribution differences ,between AS group and comparison group of separate genotype and the allele on two SNPs (rs7517847 and rs10489629) both showed statistical significance (P<0.05).Meanwhile, by the assumed genetic way , compared homozygous mutant GG of rs 7517847 with TG+TT, compared homozygous mutant AA of rs10489629 with GA+GG,such frequency distribution difference between the above two groups also showed statistical significance ( P<0.05).Conclusion:Polymorphisms about IL-23R gene of the rs7517847 and rs10489629 are both associated with susceptibility of AS in Jilin.The risk of AS will be increased if the person both with G/A allele and GG/AA genotype , which may be one of susceptive factors by AS.
8.A Study on Behavioral Problems in Children with Chronic Tic Disorders

Objective:To analyse the behavioral problems of children with chronic tic disorders(CTD).Methods:Children with CTD only and with comorbid attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)as well as ADHD and normal controls were assessed by Child Behavior Checklist(CBCL).The rates and scores of behavioral problems between groups were compared.Results:The rate of behavioral problems,total score and most subscales scores in CTD comorbid ADHD group and ADHD group were significantly higher than those of CTD only and control group.There were no significant differences between CTD only and control group except obsessive compulsive problem,hyperactivity behavior,aggressive behavior and total score.Conclusion:The present study suggests that comorbid ADHD was associated with more behavioral problems.

Caenorhabditis elegans is a very important model organism in life sciences. C. elegans has been widely used in research on life sciences, especially in drug screening and the mechanism of drugs, thanks to some of their prominent characteristics, including a short life,short generation cycle, and easy culture and observation. Aging is a complex process, which is the result of multiple factors. There are mainly three types of anti-aging signal pathways in C. elegans, including insulin-insulin-like growth factor-1 signal pathway, diet-restricted signaling pathway and mitochondrial respiratory chain/ATP synthesis pathway. In this paper, we reviewed the aging models based on the above three signaling pathways and the progress in anti-aging drugs based on the above aging models. In addition, a number of C. elegans models of aging-related neurodegenerative diseases can be obtained by using transgenic or chemical mutagenesis. Thus, this paper reviewed the transgenic models of C. elegans associated with neurodegenerative diseases, including theα-synuclein transgenic model of Parkinson disease, theβ-amyloid deposition model of Alzheimer disease, and the polyQ of Huntington disease, and summa?rized the effective drugs based on the above disease models. This review will provide reference for the study of C. elegans in the future screening of anti-aging drugs and drug screening for the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
10.Difference in Detection of Simulated Chest Nodules in Different Lung Fields with Dual-Energy Digital Subtraction Chest Radiography (A ROC Study)

Objective To assess the difference in detection of simulated chest nodules in different lung fields with dual-energy digital subtraction chest radiography by receive operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis.Methods Dual-energy digital subtraction chest radiography was performed on 20 volunteers with simulated chest nodules. ROC analysis was made in the evaluation results on regular DR images and soft tissue images in different lung fields respectively.Results Az was greater on the soft tissue images than on the regular DR images in the superior lung fields and outer zone of middle lung fields. There were significant differences in the superior lung fields and outer zone of middle lung fields.Conclusion Dual-energy digital subtraction chest radiography is superior to regular DR image on detecting more chest nodule lesions, especially in the superior lung fields and outer zone of middle lung fields. So the two techniques should be united to diagnose.
