Objective To investigate the expression of transient receptor potential vanilloid subtype 1 (TRPV1) in uterosacral ligament and its correlation with pain in endometriosis.Methods Total of 54 patients undergoing endometriotic lesions excision in uteroscaral ligament by laparoscopy due to pelvic pain were enrolled in this study.According to visual analogue scale(VAS) scores,27 patients with VAS 5 - 10 were in group A and 27 patients with VAS 0 - 4 were in group B.In the mean time,20 patients with dysmenorrhea without endometriosis (VAS:0 -4 ) were matched as group C.Specimens (including the sacro-ligaments of 20 women without endometriosis) were immunostained with specific antibodies of TRPV1.Western blot and real time PCR were performed to detect TRPV1 expression in endometriosis lesions and control group.Results( 1 ) Immunohistochemnistry:the positive area of TRPV1 was found in endometriotic lesions in uterosacral ligament in group A,B and tissue of uterosacral ligament group C.The semi-qualitification of TRPV1 expression were 3 in group A, 1 in group B and 1 in group C by immunohistochemistry staining.There was significantly different expression between group B and group A ( P =0.005 ) or group C ( P =0.027 ).(2) mRNA expression:the expression of TRPV 1 was 1.84 in group A,0.80 in group B,0.24 in group C,respectively.With higher VAS scores,the expression of TRPV1 exhibited increasing trends.The expression of TRPV1 mRNA was higher in group A than thai in group B ( P =0.022).There was statistically different expression between group B and group C ( P =0.031 ).( 3 ) Western blot:the expression of TRPV1 protein was 0.63 in group A,0.19 in group B,0.02 in group C.There was significant differences between group A and group B ( P =0.022 ),and between group B and group C (P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusion The expression of TRPV1 was correlated with the degree of pain in patient with endometriosis.

Objective To observe the therapeutic of Xiaochuanling ointment applied on acupoints combined with internal use of Yupingfeng pellets in the prevention and cure of bronchial asthma in children.Methods 80 children diagnosed of bronchial asthma were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatment group, 40 patients in each group. Patients in treatment group were treated with Xiaochuanling ointment applied on acupoints combined with internal use of Yupingfeng pellets. No treatment was used in the control group in relieving period, except observation and follow-up visit were performed. Observe the frequency,degree of asthma before and after treatment in both groups, along with the level variation of IgA, IgG, IgE and Eosnophils (EOS). Results After treatment, the average disease grade in treatment group was 1.82S with serum IgA (1.32±0.56) g/L, IgG (12.48± 1.85) g/L, IgE (257.06± 194.04) g/L, EOS (128.56±76.86) ×106/L and frequency of asthma (7.22 ±2.01). Compared with the control group and the treatment group before the treatment, there were statistical differences (P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of external application of Chinese medicine on acupoints in prevention and cure of bronchial asthma in children is especially remarkable.

Methods Liver tissues taken from 59 cases with severe hepatitis were tested for the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) by immunohistochemistry (IHC). Meanwhile, PCNA were also detected in liver tissues of 58 cases with common hepatitis as controls. An evaluation system including experiment preparation,experiment process,com-prehensive design of experiment,experiment skills and written exam was established in order to adapt to the experimental teaching reform in our school. Experimental preparation assessment was to evaluate‘preview and self-evaluation report’prepared and submitted by students. Experimental process assess-ment was to evaluate students' classroom performance and experiment reports. Assessment of compre-hensive design experiments was to evaluate the overall participation of students. Skill assessment was consisted of oral test and experiment operation test. Final written examination,mainly consisting of subjective questions,emphasized on student's flexible use of knowledge and ability to solve practical problems. Objective To investigate the curative effect of RevoLix 2 micron continuous wave laser va-poresection for treatment of elderly and high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia patients. Methods Clinical data of 36 benign prostatic hyperplasia patients with medical complications aging 70 -82 years were retro-spectively analyzed. Operations were done after their complications were controlled. The RevoLix 2 μm laser system with output power of 70 W was used, and normal saline was used as rinse solution. Operations were started after positions of seminal colliculns and distances to neck of bladder were confirmed. Results Oper-ation time varied from 65 to 135 rain with a mean time of (83.6±10. 6) rain. Occasional venous hemor-rhage occurred during operation but no arterial hemorrhage was observed. No blood transfusion necessitated and no TURP syndrome was observed. Catheter was removed 2-4 days after operation. All the patients could urinate freely. No urinary incontinence was found during follow-up except 2 patients with temporary urinary incontinence. A 3-6 months follow-up showed that IPSS decreased from 24. 26 ±2. 70 to 8.47±4. 32, QOL dropped from 4. 51±0. 56 to 1.34 ± 0. 53, and Qmax increased from (6. 37 ± 1.31) mL/s to (17.24± 2. 32) mL/s. Conclusions RevoLix 2 micron continuous wave laser vaporesection is a safe and effective method with less trauma and fast recovery for treating elderly and high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia pa-tients.

AIM: To investigate the effects of fluvastatin on the airway remodeling in a guinea pig model of asthma. METHODS: Asthmatic guinea pig model was established by intraabdominal injection of ovalbumin and aluminium hydroxide and challenged with ovalbumin once every other day for 60 days. 30 guinea pigs were randomly divided into three groups: control group ( n= 10), asthma group ( n= 10) and fluvastatin plus asthma group ( n= 10) in which fluvastatin was inhaled at concentration of 0.5 g/L 30 min before every challenging. The thickness of airway smooth muscle layers of every three groups were compared after Haematin-Eosin staining by image analysis system. The level of ras mRNA in airway were examined by Dot-blot molecular hybridization. The expression levels of ras p21 were also examined by immunohistochemical technique. Objective To study the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) combined with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT) for inoperable primary liver cancer.Methods Ninety-six such patients were prospectively randomized to TACE therapy alone group(TACE group-,47 patients) and TACE+3DCRT group(combined group-,49 patients).Results The overall 1-,2-,3-year survival rate was 82%,63%,43% in the combined group.It was 55%,28%,15% in the TACE group.The difference between the two groups was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization combined with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy is more effective than transcatheter arterial chemoembolization therapy alone for inoperable primary liver cancer,without inflicting more treatment-related toxicities.

Objective To investigate the level of mental health and effect of psychological rehabilitation on paraplegic patients. Methods 38 paraplegic patients were randomly divided into control group (n=19) and treatment group (n=19). Both groups received physical therapy and occupational therapy, while the treatment group received psychotherapy in addition, once a week for 3 weeks. Their mental health level was assessed with Self-reporting Inventory. Results The psychological problems occurred was ranked as somatization, anxiety, fear, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and obsession from more to less. The scores of each factor reduced after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion The paraplegics are in poor mental health condition, so more psychotherapy intervention should be taken to improve their rehabilitation effect and quality of life.

Objective To investigate the effects of ulinastatin with parecoxib sodium on early cellular immunology function and cognitive function in elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement.Methods One hundred patients (aged 65-80 years,ASA grade Ⅱ) undergoing elective total hip replacement were randomly assigned into 4 groups: group W(n=25),group P(n=25),group WP(n=25) and group C(n=25).The patients in group W received intravenous injection of ulinastatin with a dose of 5 000 U/kg before skin incision and at the moment of the end of operation.Patients in group P accepted intravenous injection of parecoxib sodium of 40 mg before anesthesia and at a 12 h intervals for six times.Patients in group WP accepted intravenous injection of ulinastatin with a dose of 5 000 U/kg before skin incision and at the moment of the end of operation,and accepted intravenous injection of parecoxib sodium with a dose of 40 mg before anesthesia and at a 12 h interval for six times.Patients in group C were given normal saline at the same time as placebo.The operation time,the volume of bleeding and autologous blood receiving and the intraoperative fentanyl consumption were recorded in four groups.Blood samples were obtained before induction (T0),at the end of operation (T1),on 6 h (T2),24 h (T3),72 h (T4) after operation for determination of plasma concentration of S100β protein,neuron-specific enolase(NSE),IL-6,TNF-α.The percentages of T lymphocyte subsets (CD3+,CD4+,CD8+) and CD4+/CD8+ ratio were detected with flow cytometry.The Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) was used to test the cognitive function of the patients at T0,T4 and 7 d after operation (T5).Results Compared with T0,the percentages of CD3+,CD4+ cells and CD4+/CD8+ in groups C,W and P were significantly decreased,the plasma concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-α significantly increased at T1-T4,concentration of NSE and S100 protein were significantly increased at T2 and T3 (P<0.05).the percentages of CD3+,CD4+T lymphocyte and CD4+/CD8+ ratio in groups W and P at T2,T3 and group WP at T1-T4 was significantly higher than that of group C,the concentration of IL-6,TNF-α,NSE and S100β protein content was significantly lower than in group C (P<0.05);the percentages of CD3+,CD4+T lymphocyte and CD4+/CD8+ ratio in group WP was significantly higher than those of groups W and P,the concentrations of TNF-α,IL-6,NSE and S100β protein content was significantly lower than those of group W and P at T2,T3 (P<0.05).Compared with T0,MMSE score in group C was significantly lower at T4,T5 (P<0.05).MMSE score of groups W,P and WP was significantly higher than that of group C at T4 (P<0.05).MMSE score of group WP was significantly higher than those of groups W and P at T4 (P<0.05).Conclusion Ulinastatin combined with parecoxib sodium ameliorates early cellular immunology function and cognitive function in elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement,and it is more effective than using ulinastatin or parecoxib sodium alone.
