1.A multimodal electroencephalogram visualization system can promote stroke patients′ motor imagery

Objective To explore the effect of a multimodal electroencephalogram ( EEG) data visualiza-tion system on the motor imagery ability of stroke survivors. Methods Twenty stroke patients were randomly di-vided into an experimental group and a control group, each of 10. Both groups were provided with brain-computer interface-based motor imagery ( MI) training. At the same time, the experimental group was monitored and guided using an online, multimodal EEG data visualization system developed in our department. The classification accuracy ( CA) and event-related desynchronization ( ERD) of the 2 groups′ motor imagery were compared before and after the treatment. Results Before the treatment, no significant differences in the average CA of MI were found be-tween the experiment group (50.92±2.08) and the control group (49.35±4.20)(P>0.05). After the treatment, however, the experimental group′s average CA had increased to (64.52±5.27), significantly higher than that of the control group (51.18±5.02). When the stroke patients imaged affected upper extremity movements, obvious ERD was observed in the α frequency around the bilateral central motor regions of both groups, especially in the experi-mental group, but without significant differences between the two groups. However, no significant changes were found in the ERD of theβwaves of the two groups( P>0.05) . Conclusion The proposed online multimodal elec-troencephalogram data visualization system can help stroke patients imagine movements actively. It is worth sprea-ding in clinical practice.
2.Effects of Different Doses of Dexamethasone on Bone Mineral Density and Body Composition in Rats

Objective To investigate the effects of different doses of dexamethasone (Dex) on bone mineral density (BMD) and body composition in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Methods Forty 3-month-old female SD rats were divided into four groups:control group (Cont, saline), low dose Dex group (LDG, 1 mg/kg), medium dose Dex group (MDG, 2.5 mg/kg) and high dose Dex group (HDG, 5 mg/kg). Ten rats for each group. Dex was injected intramuscularly twice a week. The values of BMD and body composition were measured by DEXA densitometer at the beginning and 4-week of treatment. Results The body weights of different doses of Dex intervention groups were decreased after 1 to 4-week intervention compared with those of Cont group (P<0.01). After 4-week intervention, the total BMD, femur BMD, total bone mineral content (BMC), to-tal fat mass, trunk fat mass and leg fat mass were significantly increased in Cont group (P<0.01), while the total lean mass, trunk lean mass were significantly decreased (P<0.01). The total BMC, femur BMD, leg lean mass, leg fat mass were signifi-cantly lower in LDG group and MDG group than those of Cont group (P<0.05). The femur BMD, leg fat mass were signifi-cantly lower in LDG group and MDG group than those of HDG group (P<0.05). Conclusion The doses of 1 mg/kg and 2.5 mg/kg Dex have greater impact on the femur BMD and the leg composition in SD rats than that of Dex (dose of 5 mg/kg ).
3.Analysis of Th1-Th2-Th3 related gene expressions in the thymus of mice irradiated with different doses

Objective To analyze the effect of high and low dose radiation on the expressions of Th1,Th2 and Th3 /Tr1 related-genes in mice thymocytes and investigate the possible underlying molecular mechanism.Methods ICR mice were randomly divided into low-dose group (0.075 Gy),high-dose group (2.0 Gy) and sham-control group.The mouse thymus tissue was extracted at 16 hours after irradiation and the expressions of Th1-Th2-Th3 related genes were measured by PCR array.Results Eight genes were up-regulated and five genes were down-regulated after low dose radiation (0.075 Gy);while 54 genes were up-regulated and three genes were down-regulated after high dose (2.0 Gy) radiation.These genes included Th1 cell related genes,Th2 cell related genes,Th3/Tr1 cell related genes,Th1/Th2 immune response genes and transcription factor related genes.Low dose radiation induced up-regulation of Stat4 and Socs1 of genes related to the Th1 cells,and it induced down-regulation of IL-4ra,Cebpb,Gata3 and Tgfb3 associated with Th2 and Th3 cells,which lead to Sftpd genes up-regulation of Th1 immune response eventually.The high dose radiation up-regulated all of Th1,Th2 and Th3/Tr related genes and also enhanced the expressions of Cd86,IL-18,IL-10 and Irf4 genes related to Th2 immune response,but it did not alter the gene expression of Th1 immune response.Conclusions Low-dose radiation induces Th1-type immune response,while high doses radiation triggers Th2 type immune response.
4.Target regulation of miR-9 to the expression of NRP1 and its role in radiation effects

Objective To explore the effect of miR-9 on the expression of NRP1 and its radiation effects in A549 cells.Methods Bioinformatics was used to analyze the potential binding sites of has-miR-9 and NRP1-3'UTR.The miR-9 sequence was inserted into pcDNA-DEST-47 plasmid to construct the eukaryotic expression vector (pcDNA-DEST-miR-9) and to construct the NRP1 gene 3'UTR luciferase reporter plasmid (pEZX-MT05) at the same time.They were simultaneously transferred into A549 cells for analysis of the regulatory effect of miR-9 on the expression of NRP1.Meanwhile miR-29b was used as a negative control to observe whether or not NRP1 gene was a target of miR-9.After 10 Gy irradiation,the expression of NRP1,and the inhibitory effect of miR-9 on it was confirmed by Western blot assay.The expression of miR-9 was detected by real-time PCR.Results It was found that miR-9 reduced the luciferase activity of NRP1-3'UTR wild plasmid (t =3.906,P < 0.05) but not NRP1-3' UTR mutant plasmid.This luciferase activity was not inhibited by other types of miRNA (miR-29b).The expression of NRP1 protein in A549 cells was decreased after the cells were transfected with miR-9 mimic.After irradiation with dose of 10 Gy,the expression of miR-9 were decreased (t =37.319,P < 0.05) and the expression of NRP1 protein were increased.Conclusions miR-9 regulates the expression of NRP1 by targeting 3'UTR site of NRP1 gene in A549 cells.

6.Correlations of 18F-FDG PET/CT standardized uptake value, vascular endothelial growth factor, Aquaporin-1 level and clinicopathological features of cervical cancer

Objective To explore the correlations among standardized uptake value (SUV) and clinicopathological features of cervical cancers,and to observe the association among SUV and expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and Aquaporin-1 (AQP-1).Methods PET/CT imaging data were analyzed retrospectively in 56 patients with cervical cancer before surgery.The mean SUV (SUV),maximum SUV (SUVmax) and peak SUV (SUVpeak) were measured,and immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of VEGF and AQP-1.The relationships of SUV and expression level of VEGF,AQP-1 and clinicopathological features were analyzed.Results SUV SUVpeak and expression level of VEGF and AQP-1 were significantly different in different FIGO stages (all P<0.05).SUVpeak and expression level of VEGF in tumors with maximum diameter ≥ 4 cm were higher than those in patients with tumors maximum diameter <4 cm (both P <0.05).SUVpeak and expression level of VEGF and AQP-1 in tumors with cervical stromal invasion depth ≥1/2 were significantly higher than those with cervical stromal invasion depth < 1/2 (all P< 0.05).The expression level of VEGF and AQP-1 in patients with lymph node metastasis were higher than those without lymph node metastasis (both P <0.05).SUVpeak was correlated with expression level of VEGF (rs =0.529,P<0.001) and AQP-1 (rs =0.356,P =0.007).Conclusion Preoperative SUVpeak of cervical cancer measured with PET/CT is correlated with clinicopathological features and can be used to guide individual treatment of patients with cervical cancer.
7.Correlation between standardized uptake value and intravoxel incoherent motion parameters of cervical squamous cell carcinoma with 18F-FDG PET/MR

Objective To assess the correlation between standardized uptake value (SUV) and intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) parameters of primary cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) and pelvic metastatic lymph nodes in the use of hybrid PET/MR.Methods Forty-six CSCC patients in Shengjing Hospital from January 2015 to December 2015 were prospectively enrolled and divided into well-differentiated (G1) group,moderate-differentiated (G2) group and poorly-differentiated (G3) group.PET/MR examination with the multi-b-value diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) sequence was performed before treatment.Maximum SUV (SUVmax) and mean SUV (SUVmean) were calculated.IVIM parameters,including the slow diffusion coefficient (D),fast diffusion coefficient (D*),perfusion fraction (f) were also measured.Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between IVIM parameters and SUV(SUVmax,SUVmean).Results The D of G1,G2,G3 lesions and metastatic lymph nodes were (0.827± 0.232) × 10-3,(0.640±0.153) × 10-3,(0.563±0.090) × 10-3 and (0.772±0.246) × 10-3 mm2/s respectively.The f was 0.310±0.068,0.348±0.073,0.287±0.057 and 0.413±0.103 respectively.The D* was (9.241± 2.001) × 10-3,(9.408± 1.927) × 10-3,(9.715± 1.827) × 10-3 and (8.830± 1.632) × 10-3 mm2/s respectively.The SUVmax was 9.988±3.806,12.941±5.990,14.543±7.050 and 9.890±3.906 respectively.The SUVmean was 5.717±2.830,7.094±3.518,8.263±4.124 and 4.952±1.343 respectively.The D of G1 and G2 lesions had negative correlations with SUVmax and SUVmean(G1,r values:-0.816,-0.842;G2,r values:-0.528,-0.559;all P<0.05);the f of G2 lesions had positive correlations with SUVmax and SUV (r values:0.554,0.550,both P<0.05).Conclusions The SUVmax and SUV of the well-moderate differentiated CSCC are consistent with D and f,which reflect the cell density and the microvascular perfusion.PET/MRIVIM could provide important complementary information for treatment-monitoring and prognostic assessment of patients with cervical cancer.
8.Types and epidemiological characteristics of influenza virus in Xi'an during 2009 to 2017

Objective To analyze the types and epidemiological characteristics of influenza virus in Xi'an during 2009 to 2017.Methods A total of 21 856 samples of throat swabs from patients with influenza like illness ( ILI) were collected from 5 national influenza sentinel surveillance hospitals from August 2009 to December 2017.Influenza virus nucleic acid was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and virus types were confirmed , chick-embryo cells or Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells were used to isolate influenza virus.SPSS 18.0 software was used for data analysis.Results The positive detection rate of influenza virus was 16.19%(3 539/21 856), the seasonal influenza A virus subtypes including H1, H3, the new type H1and H7 accounted for 62.39%(2 208/3 539), influenza B virus subtypes including Victoria , Yamagata and unclassified type B accounted for 37.50%( 1 327/3 539), and the mixed influenza virus infection accounted for 0.11%(4/3 539).The positive rate of influenza virus detected in different years was significantly different ( χ2=357.651, P <0.01).During January to March the major influenza A viruses accounted for 49.07%(947/1 930), influenza B viruses accounted for 50.93%(983/1 930); during October to December , the influenza A viruses accounted for 78.07%( 1 061/1 359 ), and influenza B viruses accounted for 21.93%( 298/1 359 ); there was significant difference in composition of type A virus and type B virus between different seasons ( χ2= 550.06, P<0.05).The positive detection rate of influenza virus in patients with ILI of age groups 0-3 years,>3-7 years,>7-13 years,>13-18 years,>18-24 years,>24-60 years and >60 years were 12.61%, 19.41%, 19.66%, 22.98%, 14.91%, 13.50% and 12.84%, respectively ( χ2=202.52, P<0.05).Conclusion Influenza A virus is common in Xi'an,winter and spring are the peak seasons for influenza epidemics.It is recommended for susceptible people to take influenza vaccination .
9.Application of virtual reality in cardiopulmonary resuscitation skill training among medical students

Objective To explore the effects of virtual reality (VR) on skill retention and retraining time of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) among medical students.Methods From May to November 2018, we selected students majored in clinical medicine of two classes in a medical university of Guangdong Province by convenience sampling. All of them were randomly divided into two groups taking class as the unit, 30 cases in each group with CPR training by VR and scenario simulation respectively. Examination scores of CPR skills were carried out at the end of training, one and six months after training to compare achievements between two groups. Results At the end of training and one month after training, the examination scores of CPR skills of students in the VR group were (95.426±4.296) and (92.326±7.753) respectively higher than those in the scenario simulation group (t=8.204, 4.797;P<0.05). Six months after training, there was no statistical difference in the examination score between the VR group (87.054±10.323) and the scenario simulation group (81.550±9.241), (t=2.176,P>0.05).Conclusions VR training is propitious to maintain students' CPR skills and to extend the retraining time of skills which provides a new method for medical education.
10.Analysis of the status quo and influencing factors of psychological resilience in patients with mouth neoplasms: the mediating role of hope

Objective:To investigate the level of psychological resilience in patients with mouth neoplasms, analyze its influencing factors and find the mediating variables affecting the psychological resilience of patients with mouth neoplasms so as to provide basis for improving the psychological adaptation of patients with mouth neoplasms.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 230 patients with mouth neoplasms from 2 ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Shenyang from May 2016 to October 2017 were selected as the research objects. The general situation questionnaire, Psychological Resilience Scale, Herth Hope Scale, Revised Life Orientation Test, Perceived Social Support Scale and Perceived Stress Scale-10 were used to investigate the psychological status of the research objects.Results:The score of psychological resilience of 230 patients with mouth neoplasms was (67.93±12.65) , which was in the middle level. The psychological resilience level of patients with mouth neoplasms was positively correlated with their hope level, optimism level and perceived social support level ( P<0.01) , but negatively correlated with perceived stress level ( P<0.01) . The influencing factors of psychological resilience in patients with mouth neoplasms included education level, hope and optimism, which could explain the variation of psychological resilience of patients with mouth neoplasms in 48.2% ( P<0.05) . Among them, the hope was the complete mediating variable of the relationship between social support level, stress perception level and psychological resilience of patients with mouth neoplasms, and the partial mediating variable of the relationship between optimistic level and psychological resilience. Conclusions:Hope is a key variable affecting psychological resilience in patients with mouth neoplasms. It is necessary to take targeted measures to promote the good psychological adaptation of patients by improving the hope level of patients.
