Objective To understand the sanitary quality of the blood dialysate in hospitals in Hu'nan and its influential factors. Methods Pyrogen,total count of bacteria,22 physical and chemical indexes including calcium,chloride,fluoride,zinc,sodium and other indexes in the blood dialysate samples collected from blood dialysis rooms in 99 hospitals distributed among 14 cities and states in Hu'nan were measured according to the Sanitary Standards of Drinking Water and the Sanitary Standards for Disinfection Technology. The data of analysis were evaluated based on the standards for the blood dialysate ruled by ASAIO and AAMI. The questionnaire on the status operation and maintenance of the water purification system for blood dialysate was performed simultaneously. Results The sanitary quality of the blood dialysate samples from 31 hospitals were completely accorded with the related standards with a qualified rate of 32%. The qualified rates were 44.4%,71.7%,90.9%,97.0%,99.0%,99.0%,99.0% for pyrogen,total count of bacteria,calcium,chloride,fluoride,zinc,sodium in the blood dialysate samples respectively. Objective To investigate the projects and effects of the comprehensive and conservative treatment of patients with keen osteoarthritis and meniscus injury.Methods 120 patients with keen osteoarthritis and meniscus injury were randomly divided into the control group A(n =40),B(n =40)and comprehensive treatment group C(n =40).Patients in group A were treated with ozone and glass sodium injection;Patients in group B were treated with ozone,glass sodium and Triamcinolone Acetonide injection;Patients in group C were treated with ozone, glass sodium and Triamcinolone Acetonide injection,superlaser local irradiation,glucosamine tablet oral,Lornoxicam intravenous injection.The effects of the treatment according to keen joints function scores were compared after two weeks and six months.Patients in group C were randomly divided into group C1(n =20)and group C2(n =20)after one year,patients in group C1 with the same treatment as patients in group A and oral glucosamine tablet for one course of treatment,patients in group C2 without any further treatment.The follow up was completed for two years. Results The excellent and good rate in group C was better than that of group B and group C after two weeks (70.0%,22.5%,42.5%,χ2 =18.152,6.146,P <0.01 or P <0.05).After six month,the excellent and good rate in group C was better than that of group A and group B (87.5%,42.5%,60.0%,χ2 =17.802,7.813,all P <0.01).There was no significant difference between group C1 and group C2 after one years(t1 =2.014,P <0.01). There was significant difference between group C1 and group C2 after two years(t2 =16.152,P <0.01).Conclusion The effects of comprehensive conservative treatment are better than simple keen joint injection in patients with keen osteoarthritis and meniscus injury.The function of keen joint with maintenance care treatment is better than without maintenance care.Comprehensive conservative and maintenance care treatment is a good clinical treatment project.

Objective To study the effect of Bcl-2 gene transfer on apoptosis of myocardium in mice heart transplantation rejection. Methods Models of mice neck heterotopic heart transplantation were set up, and were randomly divided into transplant group, Bcl-2 group and control group. Bcl-2 was transfected into isolated donor heart, and after 1 hour the donor heart was transplanted to the recipient. At 1st,3rd,5th and 7th day after transplantation, apoptotic index was evalulated by the percentage of mycardial cells with TUNEL positive staining and the protein expression of Bcl-2 was measured by immunohistochemical method. Results The apoptotic myocardial cells significantly increased at 3rd day and the apoptotic peak was at 7th day after transplantation in transplant group.The protein expression of Bcl-2 in Bcl-2 group significantly increased at 3rd day, the expression peak was at 5th day after transplantation, and high level expression remained at 7th day. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the significance of transnasal endoscopic optic decompression in traumatic optic neuropathy. METHODS Four patients with blindness from traumatic optic neuropathy were treated with transnasal endoscopic optic decompression. RESULTS Two patients improved in visual acuity to CF/50 cm and light perception. Two patients didn’t improve after surgery. CONCLUSION Transnasal endoscopic optic decompression is significant in the management of traumatic optic neuropathy due its effectiveness and minimal invasiveness. It’s implications can be enlarged under some circumstances.

Objective To investigate the relationship of urinary vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and occurrence and invasiveness of bladder cancer. Method The expression of urinary VEGF in 48 patients with bladder cancer (bladder cancer group) and 45 normal cases (control group) were examined by ELISA immunohistochemical staining. Results VEGF levels in urine in bladder cancer group [(174.77±83.41) μg/L] were higher statistically than those in control group [(63.53 ±22.62) μg/L] (P < 0.01), and related to the staging and grading of tumors. VEGF levels were significant higher in invasive lesions [(223.00 ± 83.13) μg/L] than those in superficial ones [(130.40 ± 54.86) μg/L] (P < 0.01). VEGF levels of G3 [(259.23 ± 75.82) μg/L] were significant higher compared with G1 [(138.00± 85.60) μ g/L] and G2 [(146.22 ±47.53) μ g/L] (P < 0.01). Conclusion The concentration of urinary VEGF relates to the clinical staging and pathological grading, and it is a labeling index of the biological behavior of bladder cancer.

To establish a murine carotid artery transplantation model for the study of the chronic rejection, 80 rats were divided into two groups, an allotransplant (ACI-Lewis) group and an isotransplant (Lewis-Lewis) group (control group). The donor carotid artery and the recipient carotid artery were anastomosed by using a polyethylene cuff (internal diameter: 0.7 mm, length: 3 mm).The pathological changes of carotid artery transplant were observed 14, 28 and 56 days after the transplantation. The results showed that the model was successfully established in 95% of the animals. The chronic rejection-associated arteriosclerosis was induced 28 days after the transplantation. The new chronic rejection model of carotid artery by using cuff technique caused fewer traumas and was easy to make. The pathological changes of the transplant mimicked the chronic rejection-associated arteriosclerosis found in human transplant.

This study examined the effect of astilbin on the proliferation of rat aortic smooth muscle cells (RASMCs) induced by angiotensin II (AngII) and explored the possible mechanisms. Cell proliferation model of RASMCs was induced by treatmente with AngII. Cells were randomly divided to 8 groups. Normally cultured VSMCs serves as blank control group; in AngII model group, cells were treated with AngII at 10(-7) mol/L; in three astilbin groups, cells were treated with 10, 15, 30 mg/L of astilbin; in three AngII+astilbin groups, cells were treated with AngII (at 10(-7) mol/L) and astilbin at 10, 15, 30 mg/L. Cell proliferation ability was detected by MTT method and the cell cycles and proliferation index were flow cytometrically determined. The expression of c-myc mRNA was assessed by using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the expression of NF-κB in RASMCs was immunocytochemically observed. Our results showed that MTT metabolism in RASMCs in the basic and AngII stimulated situation was inhibited by astilbin, and the cells numbers of G(0)/G(1) phase were increased and that of G(2)/S phase were decreased markedly. Not only highly expression of c-myc gene stimulated by AngII could be inhibited by Astilbin significantly, but also the expression of NF-κB protein can be down regulated by Astilbin. We are led to conclude that astilbin astilbin can inhibit the AngII-mediated proliferation of RASMCs by blocking the transition of RASMCs from G(0)/G(1) phase to S phase and by down-regulating the expression of NF-κB, c-myc gene.

The median survival time (MST) was 13.1 months in HCPTOX group and 13.3 months in FOLFOX4 group, respectively. The toxicities were well tolerated.The incidence of grade Ⅲ+Ⅳ nausea and vomiting was significantly lower in HCPTOX group than in FOLFOX4 group (?2=4.538,P0.05). Conclusion:Both of the two regimens were feasible, well tolerated and effective in treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.HCPTOX regimen might be safer than FOLFOX4 regimen,especially in elderly patients or patients with ECOG PS of 1 to 2.
