Maca as one of the star products in the international health care market in recent years, had a wide range of application value and promoted to all over the world. However, the basic research of Maca was not deep, lack of systematic and clear efficacy studies. Market products hype its aphrodisiac effect, which greatly impact more systematic in-depth research and exploration. Therefore, this paper briefly summarizes advance research in recent years including the status quo of the resources, growth cultivation, phytochemical, pharmacological effect and other aspects, which can provide reference for rational development and utilization of Maca.

ABSTRACT Clinical application of standards for reporting interventions in clinical trials of acupuncture (STRICTA) is introduced in this article, and improving opinions are proposed as well. STRICTA has already been extensively applied in designation of acupuncture clinical trials, composition of articles and quality assessment of acupuncture literature. According to the present version of STRICTA, it is suggested that items such as "standards and methods on acupoint selection and location", "angle and direction of needle insertion" and "whether the subjects ever have been acupunctured" should be further perfected. Individuated treat protocols which is highlighted on treatment according to differentiation of syndromes according to different opportunities and stages of diseases should be promoted so as to give better expression to the characteristics of Chinese medicine and enhance the clinical value of the relative literature.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the epidemiology of dental caries and its correlated factors of 12-year-old children in Dongxiang, Baoan and Yugu races.
METHODSAccording to the method of third national oral health epidemiologic investigation, 448 12-year-old children in Dongxiang, Baoan and Yugu races were randomly collected and the epidemiological investigation of dental caries, oral bacteriological detection and oral hygiene behavior were carried out.
RESULTS1) The caries prevalence rate of Dongxiang, Baoan and Yugu races were 40.52%, 44.29%, 46.45%, respectively. The average caries of Dongxiang, Baoan and Yugu races were 0.92, 0.90, 1.13, respectively. 2) The main ranks of Streptococcus mutans in saliva were class 2 and class 3 in Dongxiang and Baoan races. However, it was class 0 or class 1 in Yugu race. The level of Streptococcus mutans in dental plaque was higher in Dongxiang and Baoan races than in Yugu race. 3) The children's everyday brushing rate was higher in Yugu race than in Dongxiang and Baoan races (P<0.01). But there were no difference between Dongxiang and Baoan races.
CONCLUSIONThe caries prevalence rates of 12-year-old children in Dongxiang, Baoan and Yugu races are high. The main factors of high caries prevalence rate were low brushing rate and dental plaque couldn't be removed effectively. Oral health education should be strengthened in the three race areas.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the role of the expression of PPAR-gamma gene in the adipogenesis in hemangioma evolution.
METHODSRoutine immunohistochemistry staining of Perilipin A, the marker antigen of adipocytes, was performed to observe the adipogenesis in hemangioma. Immunofluorescence staining of PPAR-gamma, the important transcription factor in promoting adipogenesis, was carried out to observe its location in hemangioma tissue, with the co-staining of alpha-SMA and CD31. And RT-PCR was used to examine the expression of PPAR-gamma gene in hemangioma in different stages.
RESULTSIn the evolution of hemangioma, the number of adipocytes increased continuously. And the tumor was replaced by fibrofatty tissue finally. PPAR-gamma was located in the nuclei of perivascular cell in hemangioma tissue. The expression of PPAR-gamma gene in hemangioma increased in the evolution of hemangioma, but still was lower than that in normal fat tissue from children.
CONCLUSIONThe expression of PPAR-gamma in the perivascular cells suggests that they may contribute to the adipogenesis in hemangioma involution.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2008;33(6):683-685
OBJECTIVETo explore the pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence of two kinds of enteric coated tablet of Zhengqing Fengtongning.
METHODA single dose of 45 mg kg(-1) test or reference preparation was administrated by randomized crossover way in 12 rabbits. The plasma concentrations of drug were determined by HPLC. The pharmacokinetics parameters and relative bioequivalence were calculated with 3p97 program.
RESULTThe concentration curves based on drug-time of both test and control preparations were presented by one-compartment model, tmax were (0.81 +/- 0.34), (0.60 +/- 0.30) h respectively, Cmax were (11.16 +/- 0.58), (11.90 +/- 1.44) microg mL(1) respectively, AUC(0-->t) were (61.58 +/- 6.70), (60.56 +/- 6.67) microg h mL(-1) respectively, relative bioavailability was (102.77% +/- 15.63)%. Suggesting no significant diffirence between the main pharmacokinetic parameters of two prepations.
CONCLUSIONThe two preparations are bioequivalent.

Chinese Journal of Hepatology 2003;11(4):212-214
OBJECTIVETo evoke more effective humoral and cell-mediated immunization against hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.
METHODSHBsAg-primed mice were boosted with HBs-DNA vaccine, and HBs-DNA-primed mice were boosted with HBsAg vaccine. Anti-HBs level was assayed by ELISA and cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) response was tested by lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH) releasing method two weeks after the boosted immunization.
RESULTSAnti-HBs level and CTL responsive rate at the effector/target cell ratio of 100:1 were 0.38 and 36% in HBsAg/HBs-DNA vaccination group, 0.32 and 27% in HBs-DNA/HBsAg vaccination group, 0.48 and 1.5% in HBsAg/HBsAg vaccination group, 0.24 and 68% in HBs-DNA/HBs-DNA vaccination group, respectively.
CONCLUSIONPriming with HBs-DNA vaccine followed by boosting with conventional HBsAg vaccine results in greater antibody response (F = 21.19, P < 0.05), and CTL response after HBsAg vaccination can be improved by boosting with HBs-DNA vaccine (F = 165.59, P < 0.05). It brings to better efficacy by combining HBsAg vaccine with HBs-DNA vaccine.

Objective To investigate the clinical distribution and antimicrobial resistance of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) in Dongguan. Methods CRE isolated from hospitalized patients in 22 secondary and above medical institutions which participated in bacterial monitoring in Dongguan between January 2015 and June 2016 were retrospectively analyzed, antimicrobial resistance was analyzed by WHONET 5.6 software. Results A total of 71 CRE isolates were detected, with a isolation rate of 0.34% (71/20 713).53 strains(74.65%) of CRE were isolated from patients aged 15-60 years old;46 (64.79 %) were from male patients;CRE were mainly isolated from patients in intensive care unit(36 strains,50.70 %);the main specimen was sputum(34 strains,47.89 %),followed by urine (11 strians,15.49 %) and wound secretion(6 strains,8.45 %);the main infection type was healthcare associated infection (64 strains,90.14 %);CRE were mainly distributed in tertiary hospitals(56 strains,78.87 %),the isolation rate of CRE in tertiary and secondary hospitals were 0.41 %(56/13 677)and 0.21%(15/7 036) respectively.71 strains of CRE were all resistant to imipenem, resistance rate to meropenem was 81.12%,only amikacin and tobramycin had drug resistance rates of <40% (21.38% and 38.79% respectively),resistance rate to trime thoprim/sulfamethoxazole was 48.23 %,while resistance rates to fluoroquinolones,third-generation cephalosporins, and enzyme inhibitors were all>60.Conclusion The isolation rate of CRE in Dongguan is lower than that of the whole nation and the other provinces, effective prevention and control measures should be taken according to the key population and departments that isolated CRE,antimicrobial use should be rational.
