Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2021;44(4):328-332
Objective:To investigate the clinical application of optimized preoxygenation with nasal high flow humidification oxygen therapy before tracheal intubation in critically ill patients.Methods:The100 critically ill patients who needed emergency tracheal intubation in ZhejiangYiwu Central Hospital from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into observation group (50 cases) and control group (50 cases). The vital signs were continuously monitored in both groups. After the supine position was taken, the airway was opened by traditional methods to remove oral and respiratory secretions. The patients in the control group were given pressure oxygen by balloon mask, while the patients in the observation group were given pre-oxygenation by nasal high flow humidification oxygen therapy. The time required to achieve the goal of pre-oxygenation, blood gas analysis, SpO 2 changes and abdominal distension before and after pre-oxygenation and after intubation were compared between the two groups. Results:In observation group, time required to reach the target preoxygenation was faster than control group: (4.34 ± 0.56) min vs. (7.62 ± 1.43) min ( P<0.05). In the observation group, PaO 2 preoxygenation and immediately after intubation were higher than those in control group: (67.25 ± 2.34) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) vs. (61.87 ± 2.65) mmHg, (62.46 ± 3.51) mmHg vs. (56.32 ± 3.98) mmHg; while those after PaCO 2 preoxygenation and immediately after intubationwere lower than those in control group: (38.78 ± 2.68) mmHg vs. (43.12 ± 2.95) mmHg, (42.57 ± 2.65) mmHg vs. (49.46 ± 3.43) mmHg, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). In observation group, SpO 2 preoxygenation and immediately after intubation were higher than those control group: 0.97 ± 0.03 vs. 0.92 ± 0.03, 0.92 ± 0.03 vs. 0.88 ± 0.05, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). In observation group, the incidence of abdominal distension was lower than that in control group: 4.00%(2/50) vs. 24.00% (12/50), the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Optimized preoxygenation with nasal high flow humidification oxygen therapy has a good effect before tracheal intubation in critically ill patients. It can improve the blood oxygen level and reduce complications.
3.Expression and Significance of Ets- 1 in Chondrosarcoma and Osteochondroma of the Jaws
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2000;20(6):550-552
ObjectiveTo analyze the expression and significance of Ets- 1 (E26 transformation-specific) in chondrosareoma and osteochondroma of the jaws.MethodsEts- 1 expression was de-tected by immunohistochemistry in 20 cases of chondrosarcoma and 8 cases of osteochondroma of thejaws.Results12 of the 20 cases of chondrosarcoma (t50%) showed an Ets- 1 positive reastion. Thepositive rates of grade Ⅱ and grade Ⅲ were significantly higher than that of grade Ⅰ ( P < 0.05 ). Re-current cases showed a higher Ets - 1 positive rate than primary ones ( P < 0.05 ). Ets - 1 was presentin 12.5 % (1/8) osteochondroma. The positive rate was significantly different between chondrosarcomaand osteochondrorna ( P < 0.05 ).ConclusionThe results indicate that Ets- 1 is overexpressed inchondrosarcoma of the jaws and correlated with its pathological grade and recurrence.

5.The Biological Characterization of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 Gene Transfected Human Periodontal Ligament Fibroblasts
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2001;21(1):24-27
ObjectiveTo establish the human periodontal ligament fibroblasts(HPDLFs)that express BMP2 and observe their biologicl characterization. MethodsA phagemid expression vector for BMP2 (pBK-B2) was transfected into HPDLFs by using LipofectAMINE. The BMP2 expression was determined by the immunohistochemical ABC method. The alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, osteocalcin (OC) production and capacity of mineralization were measured in the transfected cells. ResultsBMP2 protein was expressed in HPDLFs after gene transfection. The BMP2 gene transfected cells showed prominently elevated ALP activity, OC production and increase in mineralized nodules. ConclusionThe results indicate that BMP2 is expressed in HPDLFs and is involved in inducing differ- entiation of HPDLFs into osteoblast-like cells.
6. Breeding of Erigeron breviscapus triploid and observation of biological properties
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2011;42(5):991-995
Objective: To breed Erigeron breviscapus triploid and evaluate the important biological properties of triploid Erigeron breviscapus. Methods: Tetraploid doubled by colchicine was hybridized with diploid cultivar to get the E. breviscapus triploid; The ploidy of E. breviscapus was identified by the chromosome number. The morphological charcteristics of E. breviscapus triploid in the field were observed and scutellarin was tested by HPLC. Results: Through hybirdization of diploid cultivar and tetraploid, E. breviscapus triploid (2n=3x=27) was obtained successfully. Compared with its parents, the plant height, leaf length and width, number of petals, stoma size of E. breviscapus diploids are larger than those of E. breviscapus diploids, but less than those of E. breviscapus tetraploids. However, leaf number and flower diameter of E. breviscapus triploids are better than those of the parents. The plant of E. breviscapus triploids grew vigorously, and the content of scutellarin (1.38%) is lower than that of E. breviscapus tetraploids (1.51%) and higher than that of E. breviscapus diploids (1.22%). However, the yield of E. breviscapus triploid is obvious higher than that of E. breviscapus diploid with 2.14 times and E. breviscapus tetraploid with 1.84 times. Conclusion: The content of scutellarin in E. breviscapus triploid bred by hybridizing E. breviscapus diploid and E. breviscapus tetraploid is lower than that of E. breviscapus tetraploid, while is much higher than that of E. breviscapus diploid. E. breviscapus triploid is an ideal and important one with the development and utilization value based on the characteristics mentioned above.
9.The Relationship Between Influenza Peak and Weather in Hong Kong
Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Objective To discuss the relation between influenza peak, temperature and relative humidity. Methods Statistical analysis on the data of influenza consultation rates, temperature and relative humidity from 1998 to 2002 in Hong Kong area was carried out to propose some relation between influenza peak, temperature and relative humidity. Results It was slightly possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was less than 20 ℃ and largely possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was less than 15 ℃. It was also largely possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was very low and the relative humidity was higher which resulted the lower body-sense temperature compared with the forecasting temperature. Conclusion The prevalence of influenza occurs during four seasons in one year in Hong Kong, but the prevalence peak of influenza mainly appears under the condition of lower temperature(
10. Specific PCR molecular identification of Dendrobium chrysotoxum
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(6):744-748
Objective: To design a pair of PCR primers that could identify Dendrobium chrysotoxum specifically, to optimize the system of PCR detection, and to establish a method to identify D. chrysotoxum rapidly and accurately. Methods: From GenBank database, rDNA 170 ITS sequences in the plants of Dendrobium Sw. were downloaded and compared with all sequences using MEGA 5.0; The variation sites were located, and a pair of specific primers in the non-conservative district were designed. PCR amplification was performed using the specific primers with 35 DNA templates in the plants of Dendrobium Sw., D. chrysotoxum was positive. Results: D. chrysotoxum could be specifically amplificated by specific primers when the annealing temperature was raised to 58 °C, while other plants of Dendrobium Sw. were shown as negative, and the sensitivity of the primer could reach 0.69 ng/μL. Conclusion: This study designs a method that could identify D. chrysotoxum specifically. Using this specific primer could identify D. chrysotoxum rapidly and accurately from the homologous species. This method is well-performed in specificity, and it is more simple, convenient, efficient, and accurate than other methods, such as morphological and microscopical identification, chromatograph, and spectral method.
