Abstract:
Occupational epidemiology aims to explore the effect of occupational hazards on the health of workers and understand
,
their mechanisms. It plays an important role in occupational health and occupational medicine.Currently occupational
, ,
exposures in the workplace are complex and diverse and multiple factors affect workers´ health at the same time. Therefore it
is important to elucidate the pathogenesis of occupational disease caused by occupational hazards and implement early
- -
intervention. System epidemiology collects data on multi level exposure and multi omics information to conduct network analysis
-
on the relationship amongrisk factors. and to study the mechanisms of exposures and health outcomes based on multi level data.
, , , ,
Using the study design of system epidemiology occupational environmental lifestyle and social factors are combined as a
,
system to evaluate the health of workers which can better evaluate the adverse health effects caused by occupational hazards.
- , ,
The studies base on multi omics design will explore the pathogenesis of occupational diseases at the molecular cellular and
tissue levels to evaluate the impact of occupational hazards on workers´ health and to explore interventions from multiple
-
perspectives to reduce the occurrence of occupational or work related diseases.

Objective To investigate the level and influencing factors of falls efficacy among older patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) .Methods A total of 218 older patients with T2DM were investigated by the modified falls efficacy scale(MFES) and Morse Fall Scale (MFS) ,questionnaire and observation were both used .Results The average score of falls efficacy was 8 .15 ± 2 .91 .The scores were lowest in the items of walking up and down stairs and going to bed and getting out of bed ,and highest were in the items of dressing and sitting down and standing up from a chair .The multivariate linear regression analysis showed that dura‐tion of diabetes ,diabetic complications and fall history were the main factors influencing their falls efficacy .Conclusion Falls in eld‐erly T2DM patients were in the medium level ,and it′s closely related with duration of diabetes ,its complications and fall history .

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2017;30(5):481-483
The mechanism of degenerative intervertebral disc is very complex, which may be associated with multiple factors such as the mechanical stress force injury of intervertebral disc, nutritional deficiency, inflammatory stimulation, etc. Recently, many studies detected propionibacterium acnes(P. acnes) in degenerative intervertebral disc and supposed P. acnes was associated with degenerative intervertebral disc. Here, the papers related to P. acnes and degenerative intervertebral disc were reviewed. Further, we deduced the approach of P. acnes enterring into the intervertebral disc as well as the mechanism of P. acnes aggravating the disc degeneration. These may provide suggestions for treating degenerative intervertebral disc.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2001;17(3):157-159
OBJECTIVE:
The study was carried out on time limit of ACP and sperm positive-detected in mixed spot.
METHODS:
600 vaginal swabs from living body after sexual intercourse were tested by routine and three-blindness methods.
RESULTS:
The longest time limit of ACP which was positively detected is 255 h, average time limit is 52 h, 41.3% of those samples was ACP-detected in positive degree (++). The longest time limit of sperm positively detected is 132 h, average time limit is 29 h. The number of sperms observed in 34.3% of those samples with positive result, is from 6 to 10/HP.
CONCLUSION
This study is helpful to forensic identification of sex cases.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2024;40(10):1879-1883
Aim To investigate the role of GlyR-α3 in postoperative pain. Methods The model of postoper-ative pain was established by incision of mouse skin and muscle.Pain responses including paw withdrawal thresholds(PWTs),paw withdrawal latencies(PWLs)and licking toes time were conducted and recorded.Protein contents and tyrosine phosphorylation levels of GlyR-α3 were detected by co-immunoprecipitation and immunoblotting.Bosutinib was used to inhibit Src ki-nase activity to verify whether Src was involved in tyro-sine phosphorylation of GlyR-α3.Results The PWTs and PWLs in postoperative pain model mice were sig-nificantly reduced, whereas the licking time increased significantly. The tyrosine phosphorylation level of GlyR-α3 in the dorsal root ganglia(DRG)from inci-sion sidesignificantly increased compared with contra-lateral side, while the protein expression showed no sta-tistical significance. The expression of Src in DRGin-creased after operation, and the interaction between Src and GlyR-α3 was enhanced in ipsilateral DRG com-pared with contralateral side.Inhibition of Src kinase activity helped to reduce tyrosine phosphorylation of GlyR-α3 from DRG and alleviate postoperative pain symptoms. Conclusion Src kinase is involved in the development of postoperative pain by enhancing tyro-sine phosphorylation of GlyR-α3.

Objective To explore the distribution of water with high level arsenic and prevalence of arsenism along Huai'he River and the surrounding area of Hong'ze lake in Huai'an of Jiangsu. Methods Wate rsamples were collected and tested in 2008 from 18 villages of 6 towns according to history data in 3 counties like Xuyi,Jinhu and Hongze. Samples having arsenic level higher than 0.05 mg/L were investigated by epidemiological method and the patients were diagnosed by Standard of Diagnosis for Endemic Arsenism. Results All 5199 water samples were determined, and 260 water samples were exceeding the national drinking water quality level (0.05 mg/L) in 3 counties, the rates of exceeding diagnosis were 5.6%(247/4454),0.7%(4/597),6.0%(9/148) respectively. Total detected rate of endemic arsenic disease was 5.94%(128/2155). The detected rates of age group of 0 ~ ,20 ~,30 ~ ,40 ~ ,50 ~ ,60 ~ ,70 ~ ,80 ~ were 2.86%(1/35),2.11%(2/95),1.26%(3/239),3.10%(16/516),5.53% (32/579),10.07%(41/407),11.84%(27/228),10.71%(6/56) respectively. The detected rate of male (9.10%,78/857) was higher than that of female(3.85%,50/1298,χ~2 = 25.46,P < 0.01). Conclusions Huai'he River and the surrounding areas of Hong'ze lake like Xuyi,Jinhu and Hongze are identified existing endemic arsenic disease area. The prevention of arsenism should be strengthened in these areas.

OBJECTIVETo study apoptosis and gene FasL expression induced by carbon disulfide in sertoli cells of male rats.
METHODSSertoli cells were exposed to different concentrations of CS(2) (0, 0.36, 0.72, 1.44 micromol/ml) for 24 hours. Survival rate, apoptosis rate, expression level of gene FasL were measured using MTT, FCM, and RT-PCR methods respectively.
RESULTSSertoli cell survival rate decreased as the concentration of CS(2) increased. The survival rate (73.34% +/- 1.39%) was significantly lower than the control group (99.98% +/- 5.48%) when the concentration of CS(2) > or = 1.44 micromol/ml (P < 0.05). Apoptosis rate increased as the CS(2) concentration increased. Apoptosis rate (7.93% +/- 0.43%) was significantly higher when the concentration of CS(2) > or = 1.44 micromol/ml (P < 0.05). Expression level of the FasL significantly increased as the concentrations of CS(2) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONCS(2) is cytotoxic to sertoli cells. It could cause apoptosis of sertoli cells.
